Canon Universal Send is an optional feature that makes sharing information fast, secure and

inexpensive by eliminating the expense of printing, sending and storing paper documents.

So even if you can’t do away with paper completely, you can do away with much of the expense.

Scan, save and send in one stepWith this Canon proprietary technology, you can scan, save and send documents in common digital

formats such as PDF, JPEG, TIFF and MTIFF. In one step, you can scan a document and:

• Email it to an individual or group

• Save it on your network

• Store it in an iR C2570/iR C3170 mailbox

• Send it as an iFAX over the Internet

• Send it to a folder on your desktop

Secure informationsharingFor the secure sharing of information,

PDF documents can be password

protected using Universal Send’s

optional PDF Encryption feature.

With it, you can control things like

who can print or make changes to a

document. For added safety,

documents can be tagged and

tracked using the Send ID feature.

PDF made compactWith PDF Compact, you don’t need to

worry about full-colour documents

clogging your network.

By simply selecting PDF Compact

when scanning, will produce a

Find information fastThe Searchable PDF option makes life

Handy built-in mailboxesAs well as a handy way to send and

device, the personal mailbox feature of

place to store things like frequently

used forms and proposals for printing

on demand. Up to 100 secure

mailboxes can be set up, with the
