The
Dear Members and Friends of the St. Peters
Family:
With the new year comes changes for youand for me as I move toward retirement inmid-February. The new year, 2015, will befor both of us a time of change andtransition.
One of the things that I pray will not changein this congregation is the dedication andfaithfulness of the strong lay leadershipwithin this congregation. Your generous
gifts of time and talents are what makes thiscongregation the special place that it istoday. I have often commented that I knowof few congregations blessed with so manystrong, willing lay leaders as St. Peters somany folks eager and willing to serve.
If you have not been involved in theleadership of the congregation, I want tourge you to offer your time and talents in2015. And if you have been involved, I urgeyou to stay involved.
One way to offer your time and talents is toserve on one of the many committees of thecongregation. Here is where many of theseeds of new ministries are planted andwhere much of the mission of the church isdone.
We will organize all of our churchcommittees and set goals and make plans
for 2015 at our annual Committee Nightgathering on Tuesday, January 6 at 7:00PM in the Parish Life Center. I urge you tocome and help chart the course for ourcongregation in this time of transition. Yourskills your talents are needed.
In joyful partnership with you in Christs
service,
Pastor Leon A. Rawl
