Have you noced how things are changing? I can sll hear my elementary school math teacher telling people in my class that we needed to learn how to do long division by hand because we would not carry calculators everywhere we go as adults. Today, I carry a computer (a smartphone) in my pocket everywhere I go that has the capability to do complex math problems and can answer just about every queson that I could ever ask (thanks to Google). One of the major changes that we have seen over the past decade is in the way that we spend money. There was a me when people carried cash or a checkbook everywhere they went, but now there are many Americans who never write checks and hardly ever carry cash. This new dynamic has created a barrier to giving. How can the church remove this barrier? The answer is the church should offer electronic giving. Electronic giving enables people to be able to securely give to the local church using their debit card. Donaons can be scheduled, and they can be processed at anyme from anywhere. I am proud to announce that we are tesng a new online giving tool here at PRBC. I am sure this will be welcome news to those who are in the cashless, checkless generaon. If you would like to give online you can find a link to the online giving portal on the homepage of our website. If you are currently happy giving in another way, please connue to do so. Our goal is to open as many avenues to giving as possible and remove as many obstacles to giving as possible. Whether you give online or in person, the most important thing is that you give cheerfully and willingly to God’s work here in Hueytown and around the world. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday at worship. God is doing an amazing work here at PRBC and great things are happening here. A Note from the Pastor...

Have you noticed how things are changing? I can still hear my elementary school math teacher telling people in my class that we needed to learn how to do long division by hand because we would not carry calculators everywhere we go as adults. Today, I carry a computer (a smartphone) in my pocket everywhere I go that has the capability to do complex math problems and can answer just about every question that I could ever ask (thanks to Google).

One of the major changes that we have seen over the past decade is in the way that we spend money. There was a time when people carried cash or a checkbook everywhere they went, but now there are many Americans who never write checks and hardly ever carry cash. This new dynamic has created a barrier to giving. How can the church remove this barrier? The answer is the church should offer electronic giving.

Electronic giving enables people to be able to securely give to the local church using their debit card. Donations can be scheduled, and they can be processed at anytime from anywhere. I am proud to announce that we are testing a new online giving tool here at PRBC. I am sure this will be welcome news to those who are in the cashless, checkless generation.

If you would like to give online you can find a link to the online giving portal on the homepage of our website. If you are currently happy giving in another way, please continue to do so.

Dr. Josh Cook
