Status of the present power system

HV system is located in the USC, not exposed to radiationand easily accessible for maintenance. It provides theneeded voltage of around 10 kV to the RPC chambers.

A3512N boards produced by CAEN, 12 kV and 1 mA powersupply boards.

In total 136 HV boards are used to operate the present RPCsystem.

LV boards are located in the Underground experimentalCavern (UXC) on the balconies and provide the low voltageto the front end electronics.

A3009B CAEN boards providing 8 V and 9 A to the front-end electronics and on A3016 (8 V and 16 A) providing thevoltage to the link system.

In total 108 A3009 and 72 A3016 LV boards are used in thepresent system.

Many of the electronic components inside CAEN HV and LVA3512N and A3009 could be obsolete -> new boards of thesame type

install two Easy crates or two mainframes◦ Why A1526 is claimed to be low noise and low ripple and do we need
