HISTORY OF THE BULLDOGS
CCM BULLDOGS CONDITIONING CLINICS
Beginning the 2013-2014 inline travel hockey season our current Jr. Ducks program will be reverting back to its historic origins as the CCM Bulldogs. For over ten years prior to our facility’s ownership by the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks, our main travel program was known as the Anaheim Bulldogs, with both Mission Hockey and Reebok Hockey as past sponsors.
During this time the Anaheim Bulldogs were ubiquitously known as one of the premier inline hockey programs in the United States, with multiple teams ranging from A to AAA levels. Over the course of its history the Bulldogs won multiple NARCH, Pacific Cup, and AAU championships, cementing itself along with Huntington Beach’s OC Blades as the top tier of inline hockey in Southern California. Moreover, the Bulldogs’ program was home to exceptional players like Beau Bennett, currently a member of the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins, and Rocco Grimaldi, current
Florida Panthers prospect and USA World Junior player. However, with the shutdown of the Bulldogs’ old Anaheim Hockey Club and the subsequent relocation into Corona, came new ownership by the Anaheim Ducks. Due to this, as the only Ducks’ owned inline
rink the Bulldogs program was renamed to the Jr. Ducks. For the past five years, from the 2007-2008 season up to and through the 2012-2013 season, the Jr. Ducks were the main program based out of our facility. Though with the Ducks now owning multiple inline hockey facilities, all containing many different travel
hockey programs, we feel now is the perfect time to resurrect the once prestigious name, and look to bring with it, a once again celebrated inline hockey program and culture. We hope you will join us in making the CCM Bulldogs your travel hockey program for the future. Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog!

August’s Drill of the Month is a specialized drill for goaltenders, however it can also be used for skaters to work on attacking the net out of the corners. The drill is designed to help goalies with their lateral movement from one post to another. In addition, the goatltender must work on pushing out towards the top of his/her crease as the shooter brings the puck out from behind the goal line, in order to be aggressive and cut down the shooting angle.
The drill is as follows:
• X1 passes the puck behind the net to X2.
• X2 has a choice of going straight to the net for a shot or taking the puck back behing the net to bring the puck out on the other side of the goalie for a shot (between the net and pylon)
• The sides then alternate each time.• **Optional - Set a stick up in the
middle of the slot to force the player to shoot immediately.
