Nottting hill Carnival

August 28 to 29

Notting Hill, west London, and during the last week of August each year, the streets erupt with

noise and color of carnival with over 1 million people.

Second carnival after Rio in its dimension, the Notting Hill Carnival has grown since 1964 from

a minor celebration to become the biggest street carnival in Europe. Over 5 km (3 miles) route,

the flamboyantly dressed participants dance their way to the music of steel bands, reggae and

many static sound systems stand in the way playing a mix of jazz, soul, hip -hop, funk and drum

and bass.

The mayor`s Thames Festival

11-12 September

The Thames Festival is one of the mayors of many festivals that claim to be "the largest free

festival in London"

Two days of outdoor art, fireworks, illuminations, street theater, music, choirs, crafts and great

food.

As that day comes to an end, follow the crowds to Southwark Bridge to participate in the

carnival of the night, streets and bridges will be closed to traffic and will be processed for

those attending the festival.

The party will be along the Thames from Tower Bridge to Westminster Bridge.The next festival is September 8 to 9

The Festival of "Pearly Harvest Costermonger"

First Sunday in October 2010

The Festival of "Pearly Costermonger Harvest" is an opportunity for everyone to see people in

their extravagant royal gowns as they parade through the streets to go to the Thanksgiving

service in the church of St-Martin-in -the-Fields of Trafalgar Square.

The Harvest Festival is the main event, with all the kings and queens dressed in their costumes

brighter and more elaborate.

"Pearly" appeared in 1875 when a young orphan, Henry Croft, admiring the pearl button suits

some of the market traders, decided to create a better and cover the entire suit in buttons.

This caught my attention so Henry decided collect money to help others.

Notting Hill, oeste de Londres, y durante la ltima semana de agosto de cada ao, las callesestallan con ruido y color del carnaval con ms de 1 milln de personas.

Segundo carnaval despus de Ro, en su dimensin, el Carnaval de Notting Hill ha crecido

desde 1964 de una celebracin menor a convertirse en el mayor carnaval callejero de

Europa. Ms de 5 km (3 millas) de recorrido, los participantes ostentosamente vestido de

baile su manera a la msica de bandas de acero, reggae y muchos otros sistemas de sonido

estticos interponen en el camino a tocar una mezcla de jazz, soul, hip-hop, funk y drum and

bass .

El Festival del Tmesis es uno de los alcaldes de los muchos festivales que se dicen ser "el

mayor festival gratuito en Londres"

Dos das de arte al aire libre, fuegos artificiales, luces, teatro de calle, msica, coros,

artesanas y comida.

Como ese da llega a su fin, seguir a la multitud de Southwark Bridge para participar en el

carnaval de la noche, las calles y los puentes se cerrar al trfico y sern procesados por los

asistentes al festival.

La fiesta ser a lo largo del Tmesis desde el Puente de la Torre al puente de Westminster.

El Festival de "Cosecha Pearly vendedor ambulante"

El Festival de "Pearly cosecha vendedor ambulante" es una oportunidad para todos de ver a

la gente con sus trajes extravagantes real, mientras desfilan por las calles para ir al servicio

de accin de gracias en la iglesia de St-Martin-in-the-Fields de Trafalgar Square.

La Fiesta de la Vendimia es el evento principal, con todos los reyes y las reinas vestidas con

sus trajes brillantes y ms elaboradas.

"Pearly" apareci en 1875 cuando un joven hurfano, Henry Croft, admirar los trajes botn

de perla algunos de los comerciantes del mercado, decidimos crear una mejor y cubrir toda

la demanda en los botones. Esto me llam la atencin que Henry decidi recaudar fondos

para ayudar a los dems.
