BangladeshObser�ed as a three-day public holiday, mandator� mor�ing prayers are perfor�ed on Eid day in large, open fields while a number of par�ies known as dawaat are usually held. Food wise, it entails a feast of biryani, kebab and other confectionaries such as shemai, kalo jam and doi.

United StatesAs an American-Muslim cult�re, doughnuts and coffee are commonly ser�ed aster Eid prayers. IndonesiaDubbed as Idul Fit�i or Lebaran, this national holiday involves shopping at bazaars in days leading to Eid where locals would buy new cloths and t�aditional wear. Ret�r�ing to their hometowns is an annual t�adition while some would even visit g�aves of their late loved ones post-celebration.
IndiaBefore prayers on Eid day, the Indian-Muslims would osten perfor� �tra duties, which is the donation of charit�. Zakat, the Islamic alms tax that’s taken from about 2.5% of their annual savings, is also usually dist�ibuted to the poor (to f�nd food and new clothes) during this time. Besides that, ladies would osten have their hands and feet decorated with henna.
EgyptFamily visits are mandator� on the first of three days of Eid, where not only children, but also women would receive special gists from their male counter�ar�s as a token of appreciation. Another unique custom is their TV prog�ams where back-to-back local films and live inter�iews feat�ring both celebs and citizens sharing their Eid celebrations are broadcasted.
Saudi ArabiaAster prayers on Eid day, locals would gather at the pat�iarchal’s home. Generally, generosit� is highly practiced. On top of giving children Eidi (a monetar� gist), it is customar� t�adition to g�eet st�angers and even purchase domestic staples to donate to the less for��nate.
