technology in radio advert

RADIO ADVERT The digital technologies which I used in my radio advert were simply an accumulation of the various technologies which I used in both my hard and soft stories, and also my weather report. As my radio advert was my final task made within my construction unit of my blog, I was very comfortable and confident with which technologies to use. To begin with, I used my iPhone ‘Voice Memo’s’ app to record my presenter reading my prepared radio advert script. I found that this app provides just as good quality results as the Dictaphone does, which was an advantage for me as I could also cut, trim and edit the volume on my phone with ease. I then imported my voice recording file into Corel, along with the sound file of my Title Sequence theme tune. Corel allowed me to edit the volumes of overlaying sound files, which resulted in my presenter being significantly louder than the theme tune; creating a relaxed atmosphere with the quiet – yet prominent – continuation of my brand identity flowing throughout my ancillary text via my theme tune. As my theme tune was too short to cover the whole dialogue of my presenter, I trimmed the sound file 3 times on Corel; pausing the sound file at a climax in the music, creating the illusion that the sound file is not edited, just extended and is longer. I left the climax of my theme tune until the end, right after my presenter has said “See you then” to deliver to the climax and provide maximum effect.
