Codes and conventions of a radio advert
• A radio advert can range from 15-60 seconds, but the average is 30 seconds.
• It will tell you the qualities of a product.• Often contains a ‘’jingle’’ and a voiceover onto explaining the advert.
The ‘’jingle’’ is included to make it more memorable. • The volume of the voiceover normally gets louder towards the middle,
then fades out at the end. • Normally a woman voiceover, but this depends on the type of product
and the target audience. • Contains a slogan of the product.• Heavy persuasive language.• Music is created from own inspiration and rarely copyrighted. • Language use will be tailored to demographic.
