Radio Advert Process

We began to create our radio advert by using the conventions which began with background music which we used The XX – Intro to link

the productions by the use of the same song through the radio advert and the documentary.

We also lowered the volume on the background music to not overpower the voiceover.

Voiceover Documentary Sound Clips

Next we added the voice over to a layer over the background music to introduce the topic of the advert and to state facts,

figures and information on the subject of the advertisement. Also to state the scheduling of the programme at the end of the advert to follow the convention of radio ads by having the

scheduling at the end of the advert. We then used the cut tool to shorten the voiceover clips to keep

a fast paced tempo to the advert and paste clips of interiews from the documentary to give teasers for the documentary.

Finally, we added an image to go with the sound of a screenshot of the title sequence showing the title of the program and graphics underneath to state it is a radio trailer to be able to play on youtube.
