CARE OF THE SICK - Please inform us when a
parishioner is confined at home, admitted to a nursing home
or a hospital.
CUIDADO DE LOS ENFERMOS - Por favor infórmenos
si conoce de algún feligrés incapacitado(a) en su casa,
hospitalizado o en un asilo de ancianos.
BAPTISM - (English) The process for infant baptism and
children under 7 years old is as follows:
Parent(s) call the office to request an appointment. In that
appointment the whole process will be explained.
Godparents must be practicing Catholics, be over 16 years
of age, and have the sacraments of Initiation and live their
lives according to the teachings of Christ and His Church.
Godparents can be single. If the person has a partner, he/
she must be married by the Church. Free union or civil
marriage is not enough.
Proof of Confirmation and Marriage by the Church. The
godparents must bring their Confirmation, and Church
Marriage certificate (if they are married).
When all relevant documents are received the dates will be
given to attend the Baptismal Parent Class, the
Presentation in the Church, the class for parents and
godparents and the date of the baptism.
BAUTISMO - (Español) El proceso para el bautismo de
infantes y niños menores de siete años es el siguiente:
Los padres llaman a la oficina para solicitar una cita. En
esa cita se explicará todo el proceso.
Los padrinos deben ser católicos practicantes, tener más de
16 años y tener los sacramentos de iniciación y vivir sus
vidas de acuerdo con las enseñanzas de Cristo y su Iglesia.
Los padrinos pueden ser solteros. Si la persona tiene
pareja, debe estar casado(a) por la Iglesia. La unión libre o
el matrimonio civil no es suficiente.
Prueba de Confirmación y Matrimonio de la Iglesia. Los
padrinos deben traer su certificado de Confirmación y el
certificado de matrimonio de la iglesia (si es casado(a).
Cuando se reciban todos los documentos relevantes, se
darán las fechas para asistir a la Clase Bautismales para los
Padres, la Presentación en la Iglesia, la clase para padres y
padrinos y la fecha del bautismo.
RECONCILIATION - Friday 5:30-6:20 p.m., Saturday
5:30-6:30 p.m., Sunday 11:30 a.m.-12:15p.m. or by
appointment.
RECONCILIACIÓN - Viernes 5:30-6:20 p.m., Sábado
5:30-6:30 p.m., y Domingo 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m., fuera
de estas horas, por cita.
MARRIAGE - Please make arrangements at least six
months beforehand.
MATRIMONIO - Por favor hacer los arreglos por lo
menos seis meses antes.
NOTE: As ordered by the Cardinal, the PARISH OFFICES will be CLOSED and the parish staff has been sent to work from home.
We will still answer the phone (978-685-1111) during normal hours: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Priests are also still available, for any sacramental need. There are CONFESSIONS by appointment.

NOTICE REGARDING the CHAPEL AND
THE ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
DURING CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
ST. MARY OF THE ASSUMPTION PARISH NEW LOGO
The Logo contains three main elements:
1. The Word, which is fulfilled in Mary in its entirety: "Behold the handmaid of the Lord: Be it done unto me according to Thy word." (Luke 1: 38)
2. The hands of the Virgin Mary, showing complete submission to the will of the Father. They are hands raised upwards, as a sign of victory, liberation and grati-tude, as they appear in many icons and paintings of the Assumption. The won-ders that the Lord has done in the Virgin Mary have not been done by her own power, but by God’s will an election. Finally, they make present the praying hands of the Virgin Mary, who intercedes for us all, the disciples of her Son.
3. The heart: a. It’s blue – the color of the Virgin's cloak according to tradition
b. The TAU - letter of the Hebrew alphabet that had a symbolic value in the Bible, as we read in Ezekiel: “Go all through the city, all through Jerusalem and mark with a cross on the fore-head of all who grieve and lament over all the loathsome practices in it” (Ez 9:4). This sign of the “Tau” was placed on the forehead of the poor of Israel, to save them from extermination. As we know, the TAU also represents the Cross, where the Virgin saw her innocent son die for all men.
c. The fire of the Sacred Heart of Mary, which burns out of love. The Virgin Mary, always ten-der and solicitous, is the Mother of Love for all people.
The ADORATION CHAPEL is OPENED during this time for
individual prayer. You should know that we disinfect the Chapel
twice a day. However, we ask you to please pay attention to the
following guidelines:
1. No more than 10 people are allowed at once in the Chapel.
2. Keep the recommended “social distance”
3. Visitors who come to pray are asked to CLEAN with paper towel
and disinfectant spray (that you will find in the Chapel):
a. The chair and other surfaces that have been touched
b. Use the same wipe to hold the door handle as you open the door to exit the Chapel
c. Deposit the used wipe in the waste container located at the exit of the Chapel

AVISO SOBRE LA CAPILLA
Y LA ADORACION DEL
SANTISIMO, DURANTE LA PANDEMIA DEL CORONAVIRUS
NUEVO LOGO DE LA PARROQUIA SANTA MARIA DE LA ASUNCIÓN
El Logo contiene tres elementos principales:
1. La Palabra, que se cumple en María en su totalidad: "He aquí la esclava del Señor, hágase en mi según tu Palabra” (Lucas 1, 38)
2. Las manos de la Virgen María, que muestran una sumisión completa a la vo-luntad del Padre. Son manos alzadas hacia arriba, en señal de victoria, liberación y agradecimiento, como bien aparecen en muchos iconos y pinturas de la Asun-ción. Las maravillas que ha hecho el Señor en la Virgen María no han sido por su poder, sino por la voluntad y la elección de Dios. Finalmente, representan las ma-nos orantes de la Virgen, que intercede por todos nosotros, los discípulos de su Hijo.
3. El corazón: a. Es azul – el color del manto de la Virgen según la tradición
b. La TAU - letra del alfabeto hebreo que tenía un valor simbólico en la Biblia, como se lee en Eze-quiel: “Recorre toda la ciudad de Jerusalén y marca con una T la frente de los hombres que gi-men y se lamentan por todas las abominaciones que se cometen en medio de ella” (Ez 9,4). Es-te signo de la Tau fue puesto en la frente de los pobres de Israel, para salvarlos del exterminio. Como sabemos, la TAU representa también la Cruz, donde la Virgen vio a su hijo inocente morir por todos los hombres.
c. El fuego del Sagrado Corazón de María, que arde por amor. La Virgen, siempre tierna y solícita, es Madre de Amor para todos los hombres.
La CAPILLA DEL SANTÍSIMO estará ABIERTA durante este tiempo para oración individual. Deben saber que desinfectamos la Capilla dos veces al día. Sin embargo, les pedimos a todos que además presten atención a las
siguientes instrucciones:
1. No se permiten más de 10 personas a la vez en la Capilla.
2. Mantenga la distancia de seguridad recomendada.
3. A las personas que vengan a orar se les pide que por favor LIMPIEN con papel y desinfectante (que encontrarán en la Capilla):
a. La silla y superficies que ha tocado. b. Con ese mismo papel agarre la manilla de la puerta de la Capilla al salir. c. Deposite el papel sucio en el cubo de basura a la entrada de la Capilla
