• Your Name, what you are currently doing

• What is something you are currently working on (project, developing skills, solving a problem)

• Describe what you hope to do next - goal

• Don’t forget to SMILE and breathe

• Keep it short. Keep it quick. Keep it clever.

• Keep it BENEFIT oriented.

• Make it something that will encourage questions.

• Gain information about a career, field, company, or position

• Goal is to gather information NOT to seek employment

• Contributes to building your network and developing future contacts though referrals

• Educate yourself before the meeting

• Work with Career Counselor to identify people, get sample questions, practice what you will say
