Evaluation

Question Six-What have you learnt about

technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Page 2: Evaluation question six

Are there any examples of the technology obstructing or limiting you’re the creative process?

I’ve never created a blog before and therefore the entire process of the creation of a blog using www.blogspot.com was a completely new experience. As a result of this, I had to learn how to use it whilst creating it.

As a result of learning whilst creating, I was only able to really capture the basic’s on the programme and therefore this reflected within the layout and creativeness of my blog itself.

I’ve had a little experience with the professional cameras in which we used. Therefore I already obtained the basic skills of working with them.

However, similar to when creating the blog, I felt I only really captured the basic’s of what the camera itself can actually do

Using this programme, was one of the hardest programmes to get used to throughout my project.

This programme has such a wide variety of tools that can create a massive range of effects regarding your project. However due to the extent of these tools it became hard for me to be able to ‘play about’ with different effects upon my project as I did no possess the knowledge on to do so.

Can you provide examples of technology allowing you to do things that extended your creative control?

Adobe Photoshop

This programme has such a wide variety of tools you can use regarding your project, that can create a absolute range of effects. This was really beneficial as it allowed me to stretch my creative control.

Through this programme, and the extent of it’s tools I was able to capture, to a much better quality, the typical and traditional connotations of a magazine and therefore I was able to create a piece that was realistic and resembled the look of a music magazine much better.

Through using a blog, I was able to present my entire project in a really unique way. My project from my research, my planning, my process, my final piece and my evaluation. The blog itself also allowed me to

present my work in one piece, and to show the stages of how it progressed and my learning along the way.

Through the use of the professional cameras I was able to capture images of a really great quality.

I was able to capture images from a variety of angles and shots in order to have a range of images to choose from, and ultimately find one that represented the main image I was looking for, whilst also reflecting the typical shot and angle used for an image on an existing music magazine.

• Throughout this project I have realised how important technology is to the creation of different media forms.

• Technology was vital to my entire project• I have understood the reliance on technology and the

complexity and depth of the tools different pieces of technology have.

• I have also learned different skills in ways in which to use different technologies.
