6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of

constructing this product?

Photoshop

• I used three tools on Photoshop when creating my front cover .

• The magnetic lasso to cut the person out and layer this onto of my original image by layering via copy.

• The move tool to move things around.

• The text tool to add text into for the cover lines of my magazine.

When editing my text I had to change the font, size and colour. I also changed the position of it (left/centre/right) to make sure my cover lines were in the right position.

The thing I used the most in Photoshop was where the layers are all arranged. I used this so often because I had to make sure that my layers were in the right order as I didn’t want anything to be hidden by something else.

Quark Express• This was the most used tool

in quark. I used the text tool for my text boxes and the picture tool for where my pictures were going to go. I also used the rectangle box tool to ad in banners on both my contents page and my double page spread.

I also used the pages to set up a page for me to work on and the colours to change the colour of any banner that I inserted.

This tool was used to change the size, font, colour and spacing of any text on both my contents page and double page spread. I used this quite often to make sure that everything was in proportion and looked attractive to the eye.
