Evaluation Question SixBY ALEX WATSON

Tripod

Before we had started working on our final piece, I didn’t know how to set up a tripod, I also didn’t see the benefit of using a tripod when recording.

However, when I started using the tripod to record my opening sequence, I learnt that the tripod gave a steadier image than if I was recording myself.

I also learnt that when you use a tripod, it also provides with the opportunity to shoot from a whole range of different camera angles, these camera angles would be difficult to create if you were doing the filming without a tripod.

Camera

I filmed the whole piece using only one camera, this was because I did all the filming myself, it also helped with the continuity of the piece.

I was confident with using the camera because I had prior experience using it during the preliminary task.

With my other experience using camera’s, there was not really much I learnt about them from recording my final piece.

Adobe Premier Pro

I had no previous experience with using premier pro, up using it to complete my preliminary task.

I learnt how to add key frames to the sounds so I could vary the volume throughout different points, there were many times throughout my final piece where I used this.

I also learnt how to add transitions and how to use them effectively, these are also used in my final piece and most importantly during my beginning and end titles.

Another thing that I learnt to do was unlink the sound from the video clip, this was important because there were times during the final piece where I only wanted the video so I could add some music or sound effects.
