Page 2: Evaluation question 2 A1

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as real media texts?

Page 3: Evaluation question 2 A1

When I showed people my product they seem to think that its was a very good looking magazine. So the main thing which iwas trying to do was make my magazine an attractive and people would want to pick it up and buy the magazine. When ishowed people the front cover they said that it included a large range of attractive colors such as Red and Black which made it look good, they also said that the placement of the picture was good because it shows the main person who is in the magazine. The Use of yellow colour for the puff “FREE POSTER” made it look more attractive and eye catching which made the audience to give a look at the front cover. When iwas designing my magazine i was trying to include a lot of original image, so that it was just not loads of writing.

The Use of colour scheme RED and BLACK made it more attractive and made it more appealing. The use of original image with a mid shot gave the Model more importance including the placement of the Masthead below her. The place of the Puff “Free Poster” with a Yellow Colour made it more vibrant And the word “FREE” forces a person give a look into It. The use of Direct Mode Of address also attracts the audience.

The Use Of Letter “M” on the whole page as well as maintaining the colour Scheme of blue on the whole double spread page made it more attractive includingthe quotation which gave it a little Touch.

Page 6: Evaluation question 2 A1

I used a two page contents page while most of the music magazine use one page But with two pages my contents page doesn’t look crowdie while it is full of Images including there description as well as I maintained the colour scheme same asMy front cover which is Red And Black. The main image of “AUSAF” makes the Audience more attracted towards the magazine.

Target AudienceI would say that ‘WIRED’ magazine’starget audience is mostly similar tothat of ‘We Love Pop.’ My magazineis aimed at young teenagers 16+who enjoy listening to pop music.Due to the cover stars, stories andcolour scheme, the aim of mymagazine is to inform the readermonthly of all the latest ‘gossip’ todo with the pop industry and theirfavourite pop stars. My magazinealso provides the reader with extrasand exclusives which relatespecifically to my target audience.

• A typical reader of ‘WIRED’ magazine would be a 16 year old teenager currently attending school who listens to pop music, artists such as Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Taylor Swift etc. He would enjoy reading magazines such as ‘We Love Pop‘ and ‘Top Of The Pops’ as they are similar to ‘WIRED’

How would it be distributed as real media texts?

Page 10: Evaluation question 2 A1

• There are many magazine publishing houses within the UK, such as

…here is a list of most of the publishers in the UK. Some of these Publishers are very famous in Uk and according to my research they can help me in publishing various copies of my music magazine, However publishers will only take on a product that they believe it will appeal to its target market efficiently and sell.

Publishers

Distributors

I like how there are few publishing companies that specialise in a specific genre of magazines, there are only a handful of distributors that are specialised in a certain genre. HOWEVER, Major Line Music is the most suitable distributor I found and according to the research of the media product they would have a perfect distribution channel and ways and means to promote and advertise my media product.

… again similarly to publishing companies, distributors will only take on a product if there is evidence of it being able to sell well.

Wired• As there are few publishers and distributors who specialise to a

certain genre of magazine, they are influenced to take on your product if there is evidence that it will thrive in the magazine market.

• This is good as due to the genre of my magazine (Pop Music), its target audience will be of a large scale.

• This means that it will attract publishers and distributors to investing in the brand.

Wired• However…

it may be worth aiming to get a specialised publisher/distributor to invest in ‘WIRED’ as they will have more experience of the most sufficient ways to promote and sell the magazine.

• For example Major Line Music, who specialise in music magazines.
