Activities in KG section (Morning & Afternoon Shift)

04-07-2018 Puppet show

Puppet show was conducted by ‘Pahal Foundation’ in the hall. Topic was Swachh Bharat.

Rhyme session

Rhyme session was conducted for sneh parents.

Teachers sang and showed the tunes & actions of

rhyme to the parents. The doctor gave information

regarding Vaccination Campaign of rubella &

measles.

Children used different colours and according to their imagination they coloured beautifully.

Guru Purnima Celebration

Teachers performed a small skit showing importance

of “Guru” in childrens life. Few shlokas of guru were

chanted by music sir and children.

Vaccination campaign was held by the order of

government and it was successfully completed.

Project Presentation

The project talk was performed by the children in the

class and the topic was “Body parts”. Children spoke

about importance & uses of different body parts.

Main motto for the presentation was to enhance

vocabulary in children.

UKG rhyme recitation competition

UKG children enthusiastically participated in

Rhyme Recitation Competition. The pupose of rhyme

Competition was to develop self confidence,

memorisation and building of vocabulary.

Rakshabandhan celebration

We celebrate this festival to keep

children rooted with our culture.

Story of Lord Krishna &

Draupadi enacted by children of UKG along with

the song performance by LKG students. All the

students were dressedup very nicely and tied rakhi

with joy.

Finger printing activity was held for Sneh children. The objective was to develop eye-hand Cordination and Finger muscles development

Project presentation

Animals and birds were the topic of project

presentation for UKG students. Children talked

about different birds and animals including their

body parts, colours, habitates, babies, food and how

they are useful to us.They dressed up like that animal

and use charts, play cards in their presentation.

Collage Competition was held for LKG students. Children took keen interest and did collage work neatly.

Janmashthami celebration

“Nandghera Anand Bhayo” was the sound which ecohed in the KG section as Janmashtami was celebrated. The little Radha, Krishna, Gopi, Gwala dressedup beautifully. LKG students performed dance on the songs of Lord Krishna. UKG children performed drama on Krishna Birth and Matkifod episode. All children enjoyed very much.

for “Ganesh “ darshan followed by Aarti & prasad.

Ganesh Utsav

Ganpati bappa Morya” was the sound of all KG

children for Ganesh utsav to keep our children rooted

with our culture. Teachers performed drama of

Ganesha and songs of Ganesha was sung. Children

enjoyed the songs of their favourite Lord Ganesha

very much.

Drawing competition for UKG

To develop the art and creativity,UKG students took

part in drawing competition based on vehicles.

Children drew pictures of vehicles beautifully.

Fruit chaat making activity

As LKG has project ‘Fruits and Vegetables’, to make

the children aware regarding fruits ,its colour , taste

and its importance, Fruitchaat making and eating

activity was done in the class.

part enthusiastically and creatively coloured in

Project presentation LKG & UKG

Project presentation was planned for LKG and UKg

students to help them to understand the topic in a

betterway. Children brought models, pictures, cutouts

charts and spoke few sentences on the topic.

organised. As teachers instructed to wear particular

Monsoon was organized for the students of Std. I &

II to enhance their creativity. Students actively

participated and winners were selected.

the students of Std. III and IV. Students beautifully

made and decorated their bookmarks. Winners were

announced.

G.K.Sports Quiz selection round was organised for

the students of Std. V & VI. One hightest scorer from

each divison of Std. V & VI was selected for final

round.

Dance Competition selection round was organised for the students of Std. VII and VIII wherein class students were selected by class teachers to perform on theme ‘Ganesha’ and started practising for finals.

School had organized Orientation Meeting for the parents of Std. V to VIII. They were briefed on rules and guidelines of the school, fee structure and the new examination and evaluation pattern by the teachers and Principal ma’am.

and imagination. Children were instructed to make

different models with clay and winners were

selected.

students of Std V and VI where they were given a

word from which they had to make four or more

letter words. The winners were selected.

Artistic Writing Competition was organized for

students of Std. VII and VIII. A paragraph of 10 to

15 lines was given and students had to write

paragraph innovatively. Winners were selected.

SFA meeting for parents of students of Std. VI and

VII was organized wherein activities were framed

and parents involvement was welcomed

introducing to them about Skills for Adolescence

and how they can contribute during early

adolescent years of their children and make these

years easy for them.

held at Rai Srinagar, Rajasthan. It was a National

school where students from school bagged 1st and 2nd

prize at Zonal level.

Zonal level competition was held at Prince Ashok

Raje Gaekwad School and our school bagged 1st prize

for Makarpura zone.

Gaekwad School, KG teachers participated and

bagged 1st prize with singers and musicians.

An Introductory session was organized by Grand TFJ (Tod-Fod-Jod) project held at Baroda High School, ONGC in A.V. Hall from 11.00 a.m to 1.00 p.m. conducted by the co-ordinators from VIC members (Vadodara Innovative Council) Mr. Vikas Chavda and Mr. Mittul Mehta. Incharge teacher was Ms. Hemlata Patel and students of Std VII and VIII attended the workshop.

Inter-class Chess Tournament organized by SMCA (South Mumbai Chess Academy) was held at BHS, ONGC premises where more than 100 students participated under various categories like U-9, U-11 and U-14. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes were declared. Resource person was Mr. Rasmikant Thakkar and Chief Guest motivated students and prize distribution was done.

U-19 State Level School Games selection was held at BHS, ONGC premises. Ms. Trisha Patel of Std. VI C and Ms. Mruga Patel of Std. VIII C were selected in girls Baroda team and Ma. Tirth Soni of Std VII D was selected in boys Baroda team.

Kala Mahakumbh Sugam Sangeet Competition at

District Level was held wherein Ms. Himani Solanki

of Std. VII C bagged the 1st position. She was trained

by Music Teacher Mr. Mrugnesh Bhavaria.

Guru Poornima celebration was held for students of Std. I and II. Students gave speech and performed dance. Anchoring was done by students. Heads of the school attended the celebration and children paid gratitude to teachers.

Kala Mahakumbh District Level Raas Competition for categry 21-49 years was held at Urmi school where Morning shift teachers bagged 1st prize. The teachers were trained by our Dance teacher Ms. Kinnari A.

Spell Bee Selection round was conducted for Std. VII and VIII wherein dictation was given to students and best two students per class were selected for final round.

Maths Puzzle solving competition was organised for

students of Std. III and IV in class and winners

were selected from respective classes.

Kala Mahakumbh Folk Dance competition 9-14 years category, 1st prize was bagged by girls in ‘Kalbeliya’ dance. Participants were from Std. IV to VIII. In 21-49 years category BHS ONGC teachers performed Garba and bagged 2nd prize. The students were trained by Ms. Kinnari.

U-19 Judo Competition was organized at

Jummadada Vyam Mandir where students of our

school participated and bagged three 1st prize and

one 2nd prize. These students have been selected for

State level competition.

U-17 Jawaharlal Nehru Hockey Tournament was

organized where BHS ONGC was the District

champion and would represent at the State Level

Competition.

A Fancy Dress Competition with the theme of

‘Traditional Dresses’ of different states was

organised for students of Std. I and II where

students actively participated and winners were

selected.

champions at district level and qualified for State

level.

Baroda District Sub Junioir Judo Championship

was organized in which 6 students of BHS ONGC

bagged 1st position and are selected for state level, 7

students bagged 2nd position and 7 students bagged

3rd position. They were trained by our Judo coach

organized for students of Std. V and VI. The selected

students participated and winners were selected.

Tod-Fod-Jod project conducted a session with

students using a gadget on Reverse Osmosis (RO)

system. It was conducted by Mr. Probin kumar and

Ms. Supriya co-ordinators from VIC. Students

participated and learnt about the concept of

purification. They dismentaled and then

reassembled the product. It was organised in

A.V.Room at BHS ONGC from 8.00 a.m to 10.15 a.m.

National Symbol Making Competition was conducted for students of Std. I and II to enhance patriotism in childern. Students made symbol in class and decorated with different materials. Winners were selected.

In accordance with the cultural activities held in

school, practice of group dance for Std. III and IV

was done. The theme for the dance was Ganesha.

ONGC, Vadodara celebrated Independence Day at

Pragati Bhavan Stadium. Basin Manager

Mr. Arun kumar unfurled the flag followed by

National Anthem. A team of 9 bouys and 9 girls

from BHS ONGC sung patriotic song and expressed

their patriotic spirit towards the nation. Students

got cash reward of ` 200 for their participation.

was organized at Ideal school, Jambuva vadodara.

In the category 21-49 years, teachers participatged

and bagged 2nd position and were selected for State

level competition. The teachers were trained by

dance teacher Ms. Kinnari A.

where BHS ONGC girls in U-14 category

participated and performed ‘Kalbelia’ dance. They

bagged the 3rd prize.

Round of Geeta Chanting competition. Students

from KG to Std. VIII participated.

class were selected. They had to deliver the speech

on any one national leader or famous personality

and dress-up accordingly. Winners were selected.

Gujarat State Kurash Association competition was

organized at Tree House, Baroda. BHS ONGC

particpated and won 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals

and 2 bronze medals. Winners would partipate at

National level kurash competition at Bangalore.

Selection round for Spell Bee Competiion was

organized for students of Std. I and II. A dictation

test was taken and one child from each class was

selected for the final round.

Final round of Dance competition was organized for students of Std. V and VI. The dances were folk dance from differenct states resembling ‘Unity in Diversity’. The participants performed with full energy and enthusiastically and winners were selected.

Poem Composition Competition was organized for students of Std. VII and VIII. The compeition was based on the teachers. Students expressed their respect, love and affection for their teachers through poem. Winners were selected.

BHS ONGC celebrated a ‘Health and Nutrition week’ and to bring awareness among people on the importance of healthy food, rally was conducted. Students, teachers and coaches started the rally from Secondary gate at 7.30 a.m. and went through Bhavan’s circle and back. Mr. Jaimim Amin, Corporator, Makarpura, Mr. Alpesh Limbachiya, Tarsali Corporator and Chief WHIP, Vadodara Municipal Corporation flagged the rally along with Principal ma’am Ms. Alpana M and PTA members.

Pradesh for U-12 age group, 45+ weight group

category was organized. Ma. Pankhil Y of Std. VI A

won a silver medal under the able guidance of our

Tod-Fod-Jod session was conducted for the students using gadgets – ‘Microphones and Speakers’. It was conducted by Mr. Prabin kumar and Mr. Abhishek (VIC co-ordinators). Students gathered information about these two devices along with sound effects around regions. They were taught how to dismental and again reassemble the device in working condition.

A Memory Test Competition was organized for the students of Std. I & II wherein different items were shown to the children and they had to memorize those things and write on a paper whatever they saw. Three students from each class who wrote maximum name o f things were selected.

organized for students of Std. III and IV. The

participants used different props, made pyramids

and danced to the tone of the songs of Ganesha.

Mahakumbh, State Level competition held at

Rajkot. The category was 21-49 years. Teachers were

trained by our Dance teacher Ms. Kinnari A.

using gadget – ‘Ceiling Fan’. The students were

briefed about the working of a fan and its energy

consumption. They were taught to dismental and

reassemble the celing fan in working condition.

Vadodara and Bharat Scouts and guides. BHS,

ONGC student Ms. Vanshika Ghag of Std VII B

bagged the 1st prize.

A Bhajan Competition was organised for students of

STd I and II. The students practiced under the

guidacne of class teahcers and Mr. Mrugnesh B.

Students actively participated and sang bhajans.

A seminar on Technology upgradation in the field of Education Management system was organised by NACTUS pioneer at Hotel Grand Mercury (Surya Palace) from 6.30 p.m to 8.00 p.m. It was attended by Ms. Jaya R and Ms. Sonali P. It gives a platform to schools and colleges to engage with students or parents and give them access to the right tool for all the class management in an efffective manner.

Chief Guest was Deputy Mayor of Vadodara.

Information was given to all Prefects regarding their

duties by Principal ma’am and Chief Guest. Head

Girl, Head Boy and all House Captains were

felicitated with Badges and Sashes.

• Rally was organised. Students, teachers with Principal and PTA members took part in Rally.

HN co-ordinators Meeting was organsized in

A.V.Room at BHS Alkapuri from 8.30 a.m to 10.00

a.m. where the main focus was on the intake of

healthy and nutritional food by the students. Resource

person was Ms. Shubhda Kanani.

“Movie Back Bencher”, a tale of how children deal

with the cut-throat competition in today’s world was

viewed by teahcers at PVR, EVA Mall on request of

Mr. Kirtan Patel (Director of movie and ex-student of

the school). His daughter presently studying in our

school also acted in the movie.

was conducted to discuss issues regarding language

A Measeles and Rubella Vaccination Campaign was

again organised by Arogya Vibhag (Health

Department) Municipal Corportation Vadodara for

unvaccinated studenst where students from classes I to

VIII were vaccinated and issued cards by the

representatives.

A District Level Kho-Kho selection tournament was organised where 9 zones participated, 15 students were selected for state level which included 2 girls from BHS ONGC.

Model Making Competition in which BHS ONGC

students were guided by Ms. Madhuri B and bagged 1st

runner up prize. The participants were Ma. Aditya

Patel of Std. VIII D, Ma. Het Patel of Std. VIII D and

Ma. Jainil Patel of Std. VII C.

Independence Day was celebration. Whole program was conducted by secondary students of BHS ONGC. Primary & secondary students performed on cultural songs.

Staff picnic was organised by the school covering

Udaipur, Shrinathji and Shamlaji. Teachers from

Morning and Afternoon shift along with kitchen staff

helping staff and office staff joined the picnic.

Everyone enjoyed a lot and gathered happy memories

to cherish.

Learning Resource centre (LRC) Inaugural Ceremony was organised at BHS Alkapuri. Shri Jagdish Shukla (President, BLCET), Shri Prabhudas Patel (Vice-President, BLCET) and Ms. Prerna Mohite (Trustee, BLCET) inaugurated the centre. A demo was done by all schools regarding the kit that they had made for the resource center. A new way of teaching language was introduced by B.H.S. Family.

Socleen organised an elocution and story-telling competition at BHS Alkapuri on the topic of environment awareness. A student from Std. VII D, Ma. Ujjwal Rami participated in the Elocution competition.

Students of the year trophy for 2017-18 organized by LIC was given

to students from BHS ONGC for their excellent academic result for year 2017-18. The prize distribution event was organized at Pandit Dindayal Nagar Gruh, Ajwa Road, Vadodara.

As a part of Teachers day celebration, Principal Ma’am arranged to watch “Stree” movie at Reliance Inox for whole staff. Also staff of Reliance Mall – Inox gave us a surprise of cake.

On the 62nd Anniversary of LIC, a debate competition was organized on the topic ‘MCQ’s” should be included in 10th std. board. Two students participated in the competition and 1st Consolation prize was bagged by Ms. Khushi Parmar of Std. VIII F .

In accordance to the Health and Nutrition week celebrations, a cooking competition was orgainised for parents (especially

mothers) to the children. A large number of parents paricipated, according to the groups they were assigned and winners were selected.

Lord Ganesh, the God of wisdom, success and good luck was welcomed by the school to remove all the obstacles from the lives of all. Ganesh Utsav started bringing vibrant colours of life into action. The theme for this year’s celebration was the overall development of students in the field of academics, games, cultural activities, etc. An eco-friendly Ganesh idol made from paper pulp, sol, natural colours and natural gums incorporated the ideals of the school that religious beliefs are to be followed with immense purity, not only for ourselves but also for the nature. Various dances were performed to lord Ganesha. Many dignatories from ONGC, M.S.University, Corporators of Vadodara, and Trustees of BLCET graced their presence on this auspicious occasion, they prayed to the almighty and showered their words of wisdom on children.

An Instep LRC meeting was conducted at BHS Alkapuri from 10.30 a.m to 1.30 p.m. It was attended by Ms. Sheeba Z., Ms. Abha G., Ms. Latika P., Ms. Rutu N., Ms. Seema P., Ms. Vinitha N. and Ms. Shweta P. It was discussed that LRC classes should be conducted for 60 minutes in a month. Teaching aids should be used. Instep Modules will be followed by all the schools and they would conduct classes on their own.

A workshop was organised by ‘Vadodara Innovation Council’ at BHS Alkapuri. The council was arranged by Shri Jagdish Shukla, the President, BLCET and deliverd by Mr Manish Jain & his team from IIT Kanpur, Gandhinagar. Timing was 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. The workhsop included hands-on activities on Maths & Science. It was attended by Ms. Kalpana B. and Ms. Deepa S. (Morning Shift) and Ms. Ila A. and Ms. Binal S. (Aftenoon Shift)

to 5.00 p.m. Topic was Stem Training of Teachers

which was attended by Ms. Kalpana B, Ms. Archana

Ms. Pallavi D., Ms. Madhuri D., Ms. Binal S. and

Ms. Taniya T. (from Afternoon Shift) . The teachers

were taught different activites which they can do

using various teaching kits. Resource person was MS.

Mr. Manish Jain and his team

associated with creative Learning

Initiative of IIT, Gandhinagar aiming at providing an

environment where learing would be joyous and fun.

Various hands-on activities were performed by

teachers attending the workshop.
