GeorgeDuganhasbeenaTerritoryManagerforCETCODrillingProductsGroupforover17yearsandisbasedinDayton,Texas.Georgehasworkedindrilling-relatedindustriesforover40years,workingwithdrillingfluids,drillingfluidrecyclingequipment,liquids/solidsseparation(dewatering),andsolidificationservicesinamultitudeofindustries.GeorgehasbeenactivelyinvolvedinteachingcontinuingeducationclassesforthenationalgroundwaterassociationandstategroundwaterassociationsthroughouttheUnitedStatesforover17years,aswellasconductingtrainingseminarsforthehorizontaldirectionaldrilling(HDD)andfoundationdrilledshaftindustries.BeforehisemploymentwithCETCO,Georgespentfouryearsworkingforahorizontaldirectionaldrilling(HDD)equipmentmanufacturer,providingtechnicalsupportandtrainingforHDDcontractorsthroughouttheUnitedStates.GeorgerecentlyearnedaBachelorofSciencedegreeinbusinesswithamajorinmarketingthroughtheUniversityofPhoenix.

IwasbornandraisedinBavaria,thesouthernpartofGermany.IjoinedDyckerhoff&Widmannin1982asanapprenticeinthedesign/constructionofficeinMunich.Aftera2-1/2yearapprenticeship,IcontinuedworkinginMunichuntil1989.Duringthis

time,inthe15-monthfollowingJanuaryof1988,IservedintheArmy.InAugust1989,IswitchedcontinentsandcametotheUnitedStatestore-unitewithmyfuturewifeinCalifornia.Aftermyarrival,IstartedworkingforDSI(asubsidiaryofDyckerhoff&Widmann).Initially,Iwasworkingonstructureswithsinglestrandpost-tensioning,beforeIexpandedandalsobecameinvolvedinmultiplestrandpost-tensioningworkaswellasgeotechnicalwork.Ijoinedthesalesteamforourgeotechnicalproductsin1995.From2003-2004IwaspartofaPTIcommitteethatproducedthe2004editionofthePTIRecommendationsforPrestressedRockandSoilAnchors.

Currently,IamaSeniorProjectManager.Besidesworkinginsales,Iaminvolvedwiththedevelopmentandadvancementofmycompanies’products.ThisSeptemberIpassedthe35-yearmilestoneforworkingwithmycompany.IliveandworkinLongBeach,California.MywifePattiandIhavebeenmarriedfor23yearsandoursonLucasisalmost13yearsoldnow.MyvolunteerworkincludesworkingwithDisabledSportsUSAfrom2002-2012whereIwasinvolvedintheOrangeCountyChapterteachingadaptiveskiingatMammothMountain.WhilewithDisabledSportsUSA,Iservedontheboardasasecretaryfor9years.Currently,IvolunteerwiththeskipatrolatSnowValley,alocalmountainresort.Iamalsoactivewithmyson’sBoyScouttroopasanAssistantScoutMaster.Ienjoythesepositionsastheyarebothinlinewithmyappreciationoftheoutdoors.IhavebeenattendingADSCmeetingsandseminarssincethemid90’sandwouldnowliketoparticipateinservingthisorganizationandourindustrybyjoiningtheBoardofDirectors.IwouldbehonoredifIamelectedtoaposition.

BillenlistedintheArmyspending1982–1986servinginArmoredCavalry(19D)unitsinbothGermanyandtheContinentalUnitedStates.BillholdsProfessionalCivilEngineerandGeotechnicalEngineerlicensesinCalifornia,aswellasaBachelorofScienceinCivilEngineeringfromCaliforniaStateUniversitySacramento–1991.Bill’sstudiesfocusedonCivilEngineeringwithanemphasisonGeotechnical/Foundationengineering.BillworkedasafieldtechnicianandgeotechnicalengineeringconsultantprimarilyinNorthernCaliforniaandtheBayAreafor15yearsbeforejoiningFarrellDesign-Buildin2001.Billhasabout30yearsofexperienceingeotechnicalengineering,foundationengineering,andgroundimprovementinCalifornia.Focusingthelast10yearsondesignandestimatingdeepfoundationsandgroundimprovementprojectsforavarietyofpublicandprivateprojects.Bill’sinterestsincludeoutdooractivities(gardening,camping,hiking),home-brewing,andmostlyspendingfamilytimewithNolahiswifeofover30years.Hehastwoadultsons(marriedandsoontobemarried)butisstillwaitingforhisfirstgrandchild.

Ihavebeeninthedrillingindustrymyentirelife.Iwasraisedinitandhavechosentostayinit.Ihadexcellentpredecessors,whodidn’ttakeintoconsiderationthatIwasfemaleandallowedmetojumpinthecabsofdrillsandruntheoscillators.Ihavebeenextremely

fortunatetobeabletoplaymanyrolesinthefoundationindustry,fromboththecontractingsideandassociateside. Whileworkingforadrillingsubcontractorfrom2005to2011,Iwasinvolvedwithestimating,contactfulfillment,projectmanagement,andclaimsandlitigation(DRA,DRB,andAAAarbitration).Additionally,IwasasafetydirectorformanyyearsandamstillcertifiedasanOSHAandMSHAtrainerandaRespiratoryFittester.Ihaveworkedonprojectsin12westernstates.In2012,IbecametheCEOofROCEquipment,aproviderofspecialtyfoundationdrillingequipment.AtROCIhavebeeninvolvedwithdesigninganddevelopingdrillingequipmentwithbothourdomesticandforeignmanufacturers.Ihaveworkedwithcranes,drills,oscillatorsandrotators.OurprojectshavetakenmefromHawaiitoEasternCanada.Additionally,IamcurrentlyontheADSC/NCCCODrillRigCertificationTaskForce.IreceivedmyMBAfromtheUniversityofUtahandIamamothertoaspunky6-year-oldgirl.IfIamnotdrilling,meandmydaughterarebusywithourhorsesandpets.IhaveawealthofknowledgeandcommitmenttothisindustryandcanbringadiversebackgroundtotheADSCWCC.Iwouldappreciateyourconsiderationforapositionontheboard.

RaisedintheRockiesandTexas(‘Hook‘Em’),aftercollegeImovedtoCaliforniain1976duringtheO&Gdrillingboom.IhaveobtainedextensiveexperienceinALLdrillingindustriesovertheyears(O&G,Foundation,HDD,

Minerals/Mining,Geothermal,Waterwell,Environmental).Inmyroleasco-partnerofSinclairProductswithRenanListi(withwhomIhaveworkedtogetherformuchofthepast30years),myroleincludesprovidingprojectplanning/estimating,technicalsupport,marketingeffortsandtroubleshootingforFoundationoperationsthroughouttheWesternUS,HawaiiandAlaska.IhaveassumedpositionsasTechnical,OperationsandBusinessManagerfor3companiesoverthelengthofmycareer,includingresponsibilitiesthatincludedcorporatefinancialaccountability,Safetytraining/monitoring,andinventory/assetmanagement,amongothers.IhavebeenpersonallyactivewiththeWestCoastADSCforover15years,andprovidednumerousADSCandIndustry-supportedslurrytrainingseminarsforlocalUnions,WestCoastDOTs,privateentities,regulatoryboards,andotherorganizations.AcontinuingactiveAssociateMemberoftheADSC/WCCforover25years,SinclaircontinuestoexpandourcommitmenttotheFoundationIndustry;SinclairistheExclusiveWestCoastDistributorforKBInternational’sslurryproductsandPDSCo’sslurryproducts,andtheExclusiveWestCoastDistributorforCasagrande’slineofdrillandtiebackrigs.SinclairalsomanufacturesandsellsCSLtubingandotherPVCproductstotheFoundationindustry.Inmypersonaltime,you’llfindmethrowingalinefromafloattube,hikingsomemountaintrial,crosscountryskiinginthebackwoods,biking,atthegym,orspendingsometraveltimewithmybrideof28years.Inshort,Iworkhard,butIplayharder!IlookforwardtodedicatingsomeofmytimeandextensivelocalexperiencetotheWCCBoardofDirectors.
