How to use the Ultranet Wiki
Nicole Barnes – EDF 6447 / Rangeview Primary
To create a Wiki in your Ultranet space, go to Actions, Add Application and type in Wiki – drag
it across
Each Wiki needs to be scoped to display only the Wiki on that page, otherwise if
you add a new page in a space and insert a wiki, it will show the wiki from a previous page. Go to Configuration, click on Scope
and choose Current Page
To add text, images or embed code, go to Edit
Don’t forget to Save your work!
A wiki is perfect for collaborative group work, and through Details, it is possible to see recent changes; and see which student
has inserted text and images and edited text etc
One the Detail icon has been clicked, you get to this page, which tells you how many times it has been edited, who it was created
by and who it was last changed by.
Click on History to see the changes and who made them, click on a Revision number to see
what it looked like at that stage
In red, it tells you that you are viewing an archived version
It is also possible to compare versions of the wiki, below I am comparing version 1.2 and 1.3 and the
changes have been highlighted, as well as the member’s name who completed the changes
Fullstop was added - highlighted
This sentence, from Save and continue was also added
New pages can easily be added to the wiki – just click on Add Page and give it a title
This is what the wiki looks like with two pages
Comments can easily be added
