TRANSCRIPT
NCC enjoyed a wonderful year of concerts, beginning in Severn, MD at Grace
Pointe Church of the Nazarene in September and going through August with
a concert at Mt. Gretna Bible Festival in PA on August 4th and a “2nd Edition”
concert at Montgomery United Methodist in Damascus, MD on August 17th to
help celebrate the church’s 175th Anniversary! Along the way, “2nd Edition” re-
turned to the U.S. Capitol to sing for the “Washington: A Man of Prayer” event
organized by Pastor Dan Cummins and Steve Amerson, and the entire Choir
enjoyed a wonderful winter retreat at ThorpeWood Lodge in the Catoctin
Mountains. Throughout this very busy year, we’ve met wonderful people who
love and support the ministry of the National Christian Choir. The “photo tour”
below captures just a few of the highlights from our season.

Sponsored by the Gettysburg Ministerium, this year’s
“Celebration of God and Country” in Gettysburg, PA featured
favorite patriotic anthems by the Choir, as well as selections by
the Bravura Brass of Lancaster, PA. The afternoon began with a
rousing pre-concert prelude featuring some lighthearted music
in 1940’s style, as well as crowd-pleasing arrangements of The
Prayer and God Bless the USA. NCC pianist, Michael Faircloth,
also shared his wonderful arrangement of How Great Thou Art.
The concert itself featured such well-loved repertoire as Battle
Hymn of the Republic, America the Beautiful, God Bless America,
Let There Be Peace on Earth and many more. The Choir even
included a favorite hymn arrangement from this season: When
the Roll Is Called Up Yonder, featuring talented NCC soloist –
Winston Charles. The Choir’s tenor and bass sections presented
Randall Thompson’s Testament of Freedom, and the exciting
afternoon ended with the Choir’s signature song: Thou Oh Lord.

New Recordings Coming Your Way SOON!
HE Is AbleSongs of Encouragement & Worship
If ever there was a collection
of songs that touch the heart
and provide hope in trying
times, this is it! From the
meaningful lyrics of the title
song, He Is Able, to the stirring
worship sounds of Agnus Dei,
you will find yourself lifted to
a place of increased faith and
confidence in God’s ability
to move in your situation.
A cappella anthems I Go to the
Rock and I Will Rejoice are certain to lift your spirit, and Great Is
the Lord with words taken straight out of Psalm 48 will inspire joy
for sure! It’s About the Cross and It Is Finished assure us of all that
Christ provided through His sacrifice on the cross, and both Holy Is
the Lord Medley and Oh For a Thousand Tongues lead us in sincere,
heart-felt worship. I Then Shall Live combines Gloria Gaither’s
lyrics with the Finlandia hymn tune to create a moving anthem of
commitment, and Not Unto Us continues the theme of praise with
an inspiring combination of words from Psalm 115 as well as the
Doxology. We believe strongly that these songs will be a source of
blessing, encouragement, comfort and inspiration.
“Now to Him who is ABLE to do immeasurably more than all we
ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,
to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all
generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
Hymn Sing Volume 2: MAJESTY
Following last year’s
Hymn Sing Volume 1 –
Homecoming Hymns, we
decided to go to the polar
opposite of the style spec-
trum for Volume 2 and fea-
ture the majestic hymns of
our faith. Awe-inspiring,
powerful, triumphant....
these hymns will transport
you to Sunday morning
church with a great choir,
maybe an organ or brass
ensemble, but always with uplifting texts that declare the
unwavering precepts of God’s Word.
This collection features three brand-new arrangements just
recorded: All Hail the Power, O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
w/ How Firm a Foundation and Majesty (an a cappella setting
of Jack Hayford’s popular worship hymn). A look at the selec-
tions included on this album will confirm the joy and exhilaration
you’ll feel as the many voices of the National Christian Choir
unite to sing such favorites as A Mighty Fortress Is Our God,
And Can It Be, Crown Him with Many Crowns, Joyful, Joyful We
Adore Thee, O Worship the King, Great Is Thy Faithfulness,
Fairest Lord Jesus, How Great Thou Art and more. This inspiring
album is sure to lift your spirit and revitalize your faith!
“To the only God our Savior be glory, MAJESTY, power and
authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now
and forevermore! Amen.” Jude 1:25
A great audience at Gettysburg Area High School!
