Our capacitive NAMUR sensors are available in cylindrical and surface mount housing styles with sensing ranges from 1 mm to 50 mm, and designed to meet IP65, IP67 or IP68 ratings. Cylindrical versions are also available with chemically resistant housings.

All NAMUR models are CE and UL listed, rated for FM nonincendive operation and carry EMC & ATEX approvals so that they are suitable for installation in hazardous environments.

UR Safety Functionality

ConceptOur SN or S1N inductive sensors, when combined with

a suitable control unit, will provide a defined output signal in the event a system component fails. Therefore, sensors have long been used to meet functional safety requirements in mechanical engineering as well as in process industry applications.

Test reports from the TÜV according to VDE 0660/209 and EN 954, and the values described in the IEC 61508 (failure rate, Safe Failure Fraction SFF, etc) are available upon request.

These sensors allow the implementation of single-channel applications up to SIL 2 (when using a standard NAMUR control circuit) or up to SIL 3 (when using a suitable control unit such as the KFD2-SH-Ex1).

Sensors based on NAMUR interface are available in cylindrical, rectangular, and slot style.
