  • 100 Book Challenge Contract must be assigned prior to the 1st book going home. Teacher completes first step in class.Parent completes second step at home.Child can earn only two steps daily. Prizes are earned each time a child earns twenty steps. Medals are given when 100 books are read!

  • Writing1st nine weeks- legible letters with sense of sounds present.

    2nd nine weeks- begins to convey meaning by matching letter sounds to words and picture makes sense. Can be as simple as a one word label.

    3rd nine weeks- spacing, upper/lowercase letters, simple sentences to express ideas.

    4th nine weeks- some sight words, words are predominantly spelled the way they sound, spacing is present along with punctuation, expands sentences.

  • MathNumbers and Operations-Identify and write numbers to 20 with one to one correspondence, joins and separates numbers to 20, counts to 20.

    Algebraic Thinking-Patterning, Sorting, problem solving, & Graphing.

    Geometry- recognizes, sorts, and describes shapes 2D & 3D.

    Measurement- concepts of time, longer & shorter than.
