Custom Symbol Step #2: In the symbol gallery menu select DEFINE > then enter the name for the custom symbol into the prompt box. For this example we’ll use BLADE for the name…

Custom Symbol Step #3: The custom symbol edit page will pop open and prompt you to edit the symbol. Start out by adding a note to the symbol. Select INSERT > NOTE and change the location to center. Select MAKE NOTE to begin and pick a point any where on the screen…

Custom Symbol Step #4: Once the symbol is complete click on the ATTRIBUTES tab. Here you can edit the leader locations / type and pick the note attributes. When you’re done defining the note attributes select OK > DONE > DONE…

Select leader locations for the balloon.

Select variable text option you require for the symbol.

Custom Symbol Step #5: Back in your drawing select the CUSTOM SYMBOL icon under the ATTRIBUTES tab to place the newly created symbol.
