Parashah 31: Emor (Speak) Part 3

Parashah 31: Emor (Speak); Leviticus 21:1 through 24:23.

Haftarah (Writings and Prophets): Ezekiel 44:15-31.

B'rit Hadasha (New Testament): Matthew 5:38-42; Galatians 3:26-29.

    Summary & Overview

    TORAH

o  Leviticus 21:1 | Regulations for Conduct of Priests

o  Leviticus 22:17 | Offerings Accepted and Not Accepted

    o  Leviticus 23:1 | Feasts of YHVH

o  Leviticus 24:1 | Care of the Tabernacle Lamps

o  Leviticus 24:5 | The Bread of the Tabernacle

o  Leviticus 24:10 | The Penalty for Blasphemy

We are continuing in with the topics in Parashah Emor and will look at takingcare of the Tabernacle Lamp. The last two weeks we discussed thetransformation of the Bride into the Priesthood and how She become Y’shua’s hands and feet, doing work on His behalf. We also looked at the PreparationProcess the Bride partakes in, in the form of the Feast Cycle, so that She canbe refined for the Great Day.

Emor means “to speak”, and YHVH speaks His “creation words” over us duringthese Appointed Times so that He can “recreate” or restore within us, what Hepurposed for us. Every week, during the Appointed time of the Sabbath, as wellas the yearly Festivals, YHVH speaks (amor), those who are present willreceive these “creation words” and be transformed into His Likeness, every timea bit more, as they go through these cycles year after year.

    Maintaining the Lampstand

Lev 24:1-4  And YHVH spake unto Moses, saying,  2 Command the children of Israel, thatthey bring unto thee pure olive oil, beaten forthe light, to cause the lamps to burncontinually. 3 Without the vail of the testimony,in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall

Aaron order it from the evening unto themorning before YHVH continually: it shall be astatute for ever in your generations.  4 He shallorder the lamps upon the pure candlestickbefore YHVH continually.

YHVH commanded the Children of Israel to bring pure oil, beaten from olives, tobe for fuel for the lamps or lights of the Menorah, so that it can burn continually. The Lampstand in the Congregation is also found in the Book of Revelation, where John reveals the Lampstands within the Seven Churches, each having aLampstand or Menorah in their midst.

Q – What does the Menorah represent in the Congregation, specifically asreferenced to in Revelation?

      2

The Menorah gives light in the Tabernacle and isa symbol of “life” and “revelation” within the midstof a Congregation that proofs that YHVH’s Spirit isdwelling actively within the people. ThisLampstand can be associated with the sevenattributes of the Spirit of YHVH or the seven stepsHis Spirit takes us through to drew near to theFather.

Isa 11:1-2  There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shallgrow out of his roots.  2 The Spirit ofYHVH shall rest upon Him, The Spirit ofwisdom and understanding, The Spirit ofcounsel and might, The Spirit of knowledgeand of the fear of YHVH.

The seven attributes of the Spirit of YHVH are the steps of how we enter into arelationship with Him, approaching the Father from the outside-in through thehelp of His Spirit.

Spiritual Application: The first step is to know about God, that He is realand exist, and what He did for us, this knowledge allows you to make adecision to follow Him. As you get to know YHVH, you learn to fear andrespect Him; these are the initial steps know as “coming to faith” or beborn again.” The next step is to receive His Spirit and His Anointing thatwill give you the strength to follow His Counsel, that is His Word. As youwalk with YHVH, knowing and following His Word, you gain wisdom andunderstanding in the things of YHVH and grow closer and closer into a

    personal relationship with the Father.

If you find a “burning Menorah” in the midst of a Congregation, it means that thepeople in that congregation are continually providing freshly beaten oil for fuelfor the Lamp, so that there can be “light” in the midst of that Congregation.

Q – How does this affect me as a member of the Congregation?

This implies that everyone who sees himself or herself as a “child of Israel,” need to be actively busy “beating olives,” to provide oil or fuel for the lamp.Relating the Lampstand to YHVH’s Spirit shows us that His Spirit will only bepresent and shining in our midst if we “beat the olives” and bring the oil to the

Tabernacle or Place of meeting. This teaches us that the members can “allow”His Spirit or “restrict” YHVH’s Spirit to “shine” or function within theCongregation. YHVH’s Spirit is enabled through the “fuel” we provide so that Hecan work in and through the members of the Body of Messiah. This is one of themost important actions the Bride has to do while living in the House of HisMaster; she must provide oil for this Lampstand. If there is no oil, there will beno “light”, and Her lamp will not burn in the window as She awaits Her Groom. We will now look at what it means to “beat the olive” and what the oil representand what we must do to keep the Menorah burning in our midst since we arethe last Church as described in the Book of Revelation; Laodecia, the luke-warm church which is poor, naked and weak.

Beat is the Hebrew word “kathiyth” that means “beaten out, pure, pounded fine(in a mortar).” This word is always associatedwith the “beaten oil” of the Menorah or used forthe drink offering, except in 1 Kings 5:11, it isabout a deal Solomon made with Hiram, the kingof Tyre, to provide materials and skilledlabourers, for the construction of the FirstTemple. Solomon, in return, gave Hiram pureolive oil as payment for the materials andservices.

Hiram means noble and comes from the root word “chavar ” that means; “togrow white, become pale” and is associated with white linen and a symbol ofholiness.

Solomon gave Hiram oil, and Hiram provided the materials and the labourers toconstruct the House of YHVH. This sounds similar to the passage in Lev 24

where the children of Israel provided the oil and then “there will be light”.Without pure oil, Hiram would not have provided the means to build the House.Without the pure oil, there will be no light in the House.

Spiritual Application: Hiram is a picture of YHVH’s Spirit that helps us tobecome white, righteous and Holy, and He provides the “materials” and the“labourers” to construct the House of YHVH. All we have to do is to provide theoil “to fund” this “building pro ject”. Hiram supplied skilled labourers as well ascedar wood and wood from fir trees.

Cedar Wood: Cedar is the word “erez” that is first found in Scripture in Levchapter 14 explaining the cleansing of the leper and the cleansing of a house

that was contaminated with leprosy. We have looked at this in detail inParashah 28. The Cedarwood is used in the Cleansing Ritual that consisted oftwo birds, water, scarlet, hyssop and cedar wood. The one bird is killed, and itsblood is mixed with the water, the live bird was tied to the Cedar, with thehyssop and scarlet, dipped and then sprinkled on the leper or the House so thatit can be declared clean. The live bird stained in blood was set free.“Erez” comes from the root word “araz” that means“to be firm” that is another way of saying “to havefaith” or “to stand in faith.” It is first found in Scripturein Eze 27, in the context the Tyrus or Tyre, the seatof immense wealth and power, situated on the coast

of the Mediterranean. Tyre’s builders have perfectedher beauty with her borders reaching the sea whereall the merchants pass through. The buildersconstructed ships from Fir trees and used Cedars forthe masts.

Spiritual Application: We see the purpose of the building of the House inthe meaning of the Cedar, as well as the wood used as building materialfor the ships of Tyre and the Temple. These ships were used to movemerchandise across the ocean. The “sea” is a symbol of the nations, andthe “ships” is a symbol of reaching out to the people in the nations, the

same concept Y’shua explained when He called His Disciples, “fishers ofmen.”

  • 8/16/2019 Parashah 31 Emor Part 3

    4/12

      4

These “ships” are linked to the Temple or “House,” that needs to beconstructed so that people of the House can be equipped to reach thenations. It is not constructed for comfort and beauty, but to be effectivewherever it exists, wherever your “ship is sailing.”

Another conclusion we can draw from Cedar wood in connection with the

Cleansing Ritual of the Leper, as well as a House that is contaminatedwith Leprosy. The Spirit of YHVH assists in the cleansing process of theBride in the House so that they can go out into the world and win souls forthe Kingdom. Leprous Believers in Messiah needs to be cleansed so thatthey can be received back into the House to go “back into the boat and befishers of men.”

Fir Wood: Fir is the Hebrew word “berosh” thatmeans “noble tree, cypress or pine tree.” Thisword is first found in Scripture in 2 Sam 6:5where it describes the music instruments used

by David, that is made from Fir tree wood. Thecontext of this story is where David and hismusicians praised YHVH at the returning of the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. The Arktoppled, Uzzah grabbed it and died. David wasafraid to take the Ark any further and stored it inthe house of Obet-Edom, the Gittite for threemonths. During that time, YHVH blessed Obed-Edom and his household.

Spiritual Application: We see another link to the building of the Housethat is connected to musical instruments as well as the Ark of the

Covenant or Presence of YHVH. David and His musicians praised YHVHwith instruments made from Fir wood as they return the Presence ofYHVH back into His House. The House of YHVH is a House of praisingYHVH, and we are created for that very purpose; to praise Him continually.YHVH inhabits the praises of His people [Ps 22:3], and our praises are likefurnishings that beautify His House.

Blessings and Curses: There are blessings and curses associated withthe House of YHVH as connected to the events where Obed-Edom wasblessed while Uzzah died. The curse came upon Uzzah for “touching the Ark” when he was not permitted to do so, in other words, he was notanointed to fulfil that function within the House. Only the Priesthood wereallowed to touch and handle the Ark. The Spirit of YHVH anoints certainpeople to perform certain tasks in His House and if someone, especially ifnot part of the Priesthood or Bride, come into the House and do things thatthey are not anointed to do, they bring a curse upon themselves. We havepreviously looked at the Standards for the Priesthood, which defines ordisqualifies you as a Priest, that allows you to perform tasks in YHVH’sHouse. Obed-Edom, on the other hand, was not part of the Priesthood, hereceived a blessing by just being in the Presence of YHVH. This shows usthe third purpose of the Hosue of YHVH; to bless those who come in fromthe nations into the House of YHVH, to learn His Ways as facilitated by the

Priesthood or the Bride in the Light of YHVH’s Spirit.

We have now seen what function YHVH’s Spirit fulfils and learned why the“House” needs to be constructed through the Work of YHVH’s Spirit. Now wewill look at the process of producing the oil in our lives to get a deeperunderstanding of the work and the part we have to play in the “Construction ofthe House” as well as the “Purpose of the House.”

To summarise, the Purpose of the House is:

    •  Your house is like a ship that sails throughout the nations (sea) whereverthe wind (Ruach – Spirit) takes you. Wherever you are, lower your netsand shine His Holiness.

    •  Your “house” then extend into the Nations and bring people into the“Larger House” through pulling in the nets as soon as someone swimsinto it, then help them into the Boat (Kingdom).

    •  The “new fish” enters the “House” and go through a cleansing process, removing their leprosy.

    •  New believers enter the house and experience YHVH’s Blessings in His

Presence, learning His Ways.•  YHVH’s House is a place of praise so that we can experience His

    Presence and Blessings.

    •  The Hosue has to have a Priesthood that facilitates YHVH’s ways to thepeople, complying with the standards of the Priesthood.

The Purpose of YHVH’s Spirit is:

    •  His Spirit builds the House by providing the “workers”. YHVH will sendpeople to a particular place to assemble with fellow Believers to functionas the Body of Messiah. Ever wondered why you ended up in a certainCongregation?

    •  His Spirit maintains the House by identifying when there is Leprosy onHis people or in His House. His Spirit will then take these people throughan “isolation process” where they will be going through introspection andrepentance before allowed back into the House. This process isfacilitated through a conviction of the heart or through situations that yougo through. The result is your purification and reestablishment as part ofthe Priesthood.

    •  YHVH’s Spirit “makes His people white”  or makes you Holy unto Himand helps you to keep your “garment” (actions) clean for preparation asthe Bride and to be effectively be used as His Priesthood.

The Construction of Bethel – House of Elohim

Each one of us is a dwelling place or Temple ofYHVH. YHVH’s Spirit (Hiram) is doing constructionwork within me so that I can be converted into adwelling place or house for Y’shua and the Father.

John 14:23  Y’shua answered and said tohim, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word;and My Father will love him, and We will come

to him and make Our home with him. 24

He whodoes not love Me does not keep My words; andthe word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

What we learned earlier is that the House is constructed when Hiram (YHVH’sSpirit) receives fresh oil. This verse tells us that the House is constructed whenyou Keep YHVH’s Commandments. This links the two thoughts that keeping theCommandments is a way of “supplying oil” so that the House can beconstructed. These Commandments are not new Commandments or

Commandments that Y’shua added on top of what is already in the Torah.Y’shua is the Word of YHVH that became flesh, and He is the embodiment ofthe Torah or the Commandments, and when He refers to His Commandments,He refers to the Torah. Looking at the concept of pure olive oil that is created bya beating process, gives you the idea that you will go through a “beatingprocess” as part of the construction process taking place in you. To find outwhat is involved in this beating process, we will look at the words; olive and oilto get a deeper understanding.

Olive: Olive is the Hebrew word that comes from the root word “zif ”that means “brightness” that is found in 1 Kings 6:1 that speaks of

    the month of Zif (2nd

month, the month after Nissan – BiblicalNew Year) in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign, in the timewhen the construction of the 1st Temple began.

Oil is the Hebrew word “shemen” that is first found in Scripture inGen 28:28 where Jacob had the dream of the ladder. The next morning heconstructed a pillar of stone, taking the stones he used as a pillow. He pouredoil over this pillar as a personal memorial, and named the place Beth-El or“House of Elohim”. Oil is a sign of prosperity as seen in the root word of“shemen,” that is “shaman” that means, “to become fat or prosperous.”

Pillar  or “personal memorial” comes from the root word “nastav” that means “to

stand or to appoint.” This is where the concept of “anointing with oil originatesfrom, where oil is used to “anoint or appoint” someone for a specific purpose, forexample, the Priesthood.

Putting it all together : YHVH’s Spirit is constructing orconverting us into a dwelling place for the Father and the Son.Oil is required as “payment” for  the exchange of the “labourers”and the materials.” Oil is produced by a “beating process”, andHis Word or Commandments are the Blueprint or Plan thatgoverns the building process.” John made the link between the“oil producing process” and keeping YHVH’s Commandments.

The “oil” that is poured on the “pillar” reveals to us the anointingprocess where YHVH’s Spirit anoint or appoint us to fulfil afunction in His House. The pillar is related to Jacob’s experiencewhere He “connected with YHVH”, thus meaning that theanointing of the Spirit, reconnects you to the Father that officiallymakes you a “Bethel” or the “House of Elohim.“

Summary: The Oil that you bring is in the following ways:

    1. Know YHVH’s Word and obey His Commandments.2. Ask YHVH to anoint you and appoint you with a Purpose in His Kingdom

then walk in it. (See detail in the Section called Gifts of the Spirit)3. Receive the Spirit of YHVH and have a “re-connection” with the Father

so that you can have a personal relationship with Him.

    7/12

      7

    4.  Allow YHVH’s Spirit to “make you white” so that you can be Holy andshine forth His Brightness through your life.

    The Collective House of Elohim

We have looked at the House of YHVH from a personal perspective, but the

Larger House or Collective House is constructed of “living stones,” that is alsoknown as the Priesthood. These “stones” are the “smaller houses” that areplaced together to make up and created the “Collective House of YHVH” alsoknown as the Body of Messiah or Assembly (Church).

1 Pet 2:5   you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritualhouse, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable toYHVH through Y’shua the Messiah.

There is a Plan or Blueprint that connect these Stones together, each one in itsplace so that it will form a House according to YHVH’s Larger Plan. This Blueprint Plan is revealed to us through the Gifts of YHVH’s Spirit, andevery Gift is given by His Sprit as He pleases, according to His Plan, notaccording to what we desire.

The first place the idea of Gifts is seen is where YHVH made Moses leader orProphet over Israel whereafter He anointed Aaron as Hight Priest. Then YHVHanointed the seventy elders to help Moses to govern the people, giving themthe giftings of Prophecy and Words of Wisdom to judge situations and resolvepractical issues within the “House.”

Num 11:16-17   YHVH answered Moses, “Bring Me 70 men from Israelknown to you as elders and officers of the people. Take them to the tent of

meeting and have them stand there with you. 17

Then I will come downand speak with you there. I will take some of the Spirit who is on you and put the Spirit on them. They will help you bear the burden of the people sothat you do not have to bear it by yourself.

This is the model is similar to the one found in the First Century Church whereY’shua is the Head or Leader, Prophet and High Priest as seen in the roles ofMoses and Aaron. Then there were the Elders, also known as the Priesthood, people within the Body of Messiah, who were anointed by YHVH’s Spirit to fulfilcertain tasks within the House so that everything will run smoothly and functionsuccessfully.

    Filled with the Spir it

If you are filled with the Spirit, you are equipped to do the work of YHVH withinthe House of YHVH.

Exo 31:3-5  And I have filled him with the Spirit of Elohim, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all workmanship, (4) todevise designs; to work in gold, and in silver, and in bronze, (5) and incutting of stones, to set them , and in carving of timber, to work in allworkmanship.

The same concept is found in the Berit Chadashah (NT) where followers ofY’shua were filled with the Spirit of YHVH.

Act 9:17   And Ananias went and entered into the house. And putting hishands on him, he said, Brother Saul, the Master, Y ’ shua, who appeared toyou in the way in which you came, has sent me to you that you might seeand be filled with the Holy Spirit.

The Hebrew word for "filled" is alm  "mala" and is found in Ex 31:3. This wordhas the following meanings: to fill, fullness, fully, installation (of priests), settingof stones (building), to be armed, to be satisfied, to be accomplished (fulfil),setting (jewel).

Spiritual Application: To be filled with YHVH’s Spirit is the process whereevery “stone” or person is “set” in a particular place within the walls of the“House.” Everyone that forms part of that House is equipped to fulfil aparticular function and to be “armed and ready” to withstand any attackfrom the enemy. To be filled means “to beautify” as seen in one of themeanings of the word “mala” (filled) that is “the setting of jewels.” Another place where these “precious stones” are found is in the

Breastplate of the High Priest (Y’shua). To be filled means to be “stones inthe House” and be “precious stones” in the breastplate and be part of thetwelve Jewels or twelve tribes of Israel.

When you construct a Temple, you will need bricks and cement or mortar. Brick

is the word “malbane” ]blm and mortar are the words “mehlet” ulm. Boththese words as well as the word “mala” (filled), starts with the word “mal” lm,that comes from the word “mila”hlm, that means; “word, utterance, andcommand.” This is linked to the word “melek,” ;lm that means, “King andcounsel.”

Spiritual Application: The “bricks” and the “mortar” represent the “wordsof the King” that is required to hold the stones or bricks together so thatYHVH’s House will stand firm, not cracking, not falling apart. We “hear HisVoice” through the Anointing of His Spirit and through the understandingand interpretation of His Word that leads to obeying of His Word.

    Gifts of the Spirit

The Gifts of the Spirit are there to equip the people chosen by YHVH, tobecome a House He can indwell. When you are born again, you become astone that is laid in position by His Spirit. Some have the gifting to help with theconstruction. In other words, some stones are builders, and there are the stonesthat need to be directed. As you grow into spiritual maturity, YHVH willtransform you from just being a stone, into a builder as His sees fit.

The Gifts of the Spirit are presented together with the five-fold ministry thatrepresents twelve functions or roles within the House of Elohim.

  • 8/16/2019 Parashah 31 Emor Part 3

    9/12

      9

    1. Apostles & Evangelists2. Prophets – Prophecy3. Shepherds - Leadership4. Teachers5. Tongues and Interpretation – Spiritual

warfare & Prayer6. Word of Wisdom & Knowledge7. Faith, Workers of Miracles and healings8. Hospitality & Helpers9. Giving - providing10. Distinguishing between spirits 11. Mercy, look after sick orphans, widows and poor12. Exhortation, Encouragement (Prayer & Intersession)

These Gifts can be associated with the twelve precious stones in theBreastplate of the High Priest that are the twelve anointings YHVH releases on

His people so that they can serve as His Priesthood in His Temple. Eph 1:23  (We are) Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all inall [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everythingcomplete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].

The purpose of the Gifts is to anoint YHVH’s people within a Congregation sothat they can represent the fullness of Him, wherever they are unified together.

    1. Apostles & Evangelists:  Apostle means “sent one,” one who is sentwith a particular message. This was the last instruction to Y’shua’s Disciples before He returned to the Father.

Matt 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all thenations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Sonand of the Holy Spirit,  20 teaching them to observe all things that Ihave commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to theend of the age.”  Amen.

(The part of the verse in grey is not in the original text and means that we are tobaptise new Disciples into the Name of Y’shua as stipulated in Acts 19:5)

    2. Prophets – Prophecy is the word that comesfrom the root word “naba” that means “underthe influence of divine Spirit, to write, speak

or sing under inspiration.” Prophecy alsorelates to seeing visions and dream dreamsthat contain symbols and messages whichcan be interpreted. Every prophetic utteranceneeds to be tested against the Word. If aprophetic word contradicts the Torah, thenthe prophecy is not inspired by the Spirit ofYHVH. Prophetic visions and dreams need to be interpreted andconfirmed by more than one witness.

2 Pet 1:19-20 We also have the message of the prophets, which

has been confirmed beyond doubt. And you will do well to payattention to this message, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your

      10

hearts. 20 Above all, you must understand  that  no prophecy of Scripture comes from the prophet’s own interpretation.

Warning: There are many false prophets and Prophecy one of the mostdesired Gifts in the Body of Messiah today. There are even Schools thatteaches people to become prophets, and that is not

Scriptural. Paul tells us that not all can become Prophets. Whensomeone made a prediction and said, YHVH told them, test and see ifthe prophecy comes to pass, if not, then that person is a false prophet. Inthe old days, false prophets were to be sentenced to death and cut offfrom YHVH’s people. The problem was that the real Prophets of YHVHwere killed by rebellious Kings. These Prophetic words generally told theKing his sin and that he needs to repent. If he refused to listen, then theProphet would tell him his future that typically did not end very well.Prophecies are usually not to predict the future but to speak the Words ofYHVH to the His people that are relevant to them at that time.

    3. Shepherds – Shepherds are Leaders who lead and see to the needs ofthe flock or Congregation. A true Shepherd will lovehis people and lay down his life for them. TrueShepherds are called, and you will notice adifference between some of them who chose tobecome a Shepherd but was never chosen.

You can choose and study to become a Pastor ifyou like but the problem with this is that “a System” will teach you to become a Leader and Teacher. Some Institutions uses curriculums that are based

on worldly business principles that change to focus on numbers and

money, converting YHVH’s House into a Business.

    4. Teachers – Teachers are gifted through YHVH’sSpirit to know, understand and teach YHVH’sWord. As discussed earlier, Teachers cannot learnor study to become Teachers, presentation andcommunication techniques do help, but the contentof the teaching will be missing if not inspired byYHVH.

True Teachers do not confuse people and always try to speak within the

context of Scripture, make sure there are no contradictions and stick tothe Truth without “sugar coatings” or tickling of the ear messages.

    5. Tongues and Interpretation – Spiritual warfare & Prayer – This is oneof the Gifts that is placed on the “do not touch shelf,” because of thecounterfeit gift of tongues that exists today. Just like the word “Anti-Messiah,” that means “in the place of Messiah,” there is an “in the placeof Tongues” gift, that takes the place of the real Gift. The Gift of Tonguesis very closely related to Prophecy and need to be interpreted to give theactual meaning of the Words that comes from YHVH.

1 Cor 14:5   I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that

you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than hewho speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that thechurch may receive edification.

Tongues without interpretation should not be allowed in the Congregationand will only cause confusion and disorder. Disorder should not beallowed while exercising the Gifts and must adhere to the fruit of the Spritnamely, “self-control.”  If someone has the Gift of Tongues, they can useit in privacy for the edification of your spirit, for spiritual edification. [Jude

1:20]. Tongues used in private is a form of “spiritual warfare” where the“Words of YHVH” is spoken into the situation or people you are currentlyinvolved in. Speaking in Tongues are similar to the Creation WordsYHVH spoke after the revelation of Light. These words are to expresscreative power into every situation to re-create or restore every fallenstate in your life. Real Tongues will sound like a language where thecounterfeit language will only be sounds and noises.

    6. Word of Wisdom & Knowledge – This Gift is closely related toProphecy and falls in the same category since it is based on divinerevelation from YHVH.This Gift reveals information to resolve

situations or to give guidance when people need direction.Just like with Prophecy, you need a second witness before youcan know it is from YHVH. The witness can come either fromScripture or another person who reveals the same wisdom.Do not react to only one word you received fromsomeone, if it was not already in your heart andconfirmed by this word, this will only lead toconfusion and misdirection.

Warning:  It is very easy for people to say; “The Lord told me…” or “I feelthe Lord is telling me…” and you act on these words because someoneheard from God. Always test a person by their fruits their words so that

you will not be misled by someone who’s “house is not in order”. Peoplecan me led through His Gifts or misled by individuals who are “wolves insheep’s clothing,” stating to have His Anointing.

    7.  Faith , Workers of Miracles and healings  – This is an essential Gift, especially when working with unbelievers. Miracles are not there toentertain those who already follow Messiah; miracles are to show thesceptics that YHVH is real and that He exist. There are counterfeit signsand wonders, that will be performed by false Messiah’s and falseprophets. Know them by their fruit; if they obey and live according toYHVH’s Commandments or if they practice lawlessness.

Matt 7:21  “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enterthe kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father inheaven.  22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have wenot prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, anddone many wonders in Your name?’  23 And then I will declare tothem, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practicelawlessness!’

    8. Hospitality & Helpers  – This is the Gift that is usually not recognised orappreciated because it is not as “flashy” as the other where you arevisible to the people. This gifting normally has a tremendous love for

YHVH’s people and has a servant's, heart. This function is essential tothe facilitation of the events like the celebration of the Festivals.

They set up the facilities and the atmosphere to make the House ofYHVH a warm and welcoming place.

    9. Giving – providing – This Gift speaks for itself and is the anointing ofYHVH on certain people that empower them to be blessed in theBusiness world and provide for the Kingdom. You are never blessed for

yourself but always blessed to be a blessing to others.

    10. Distinguishing between spirits – People with this gifting can discernand expose false spirits that come into the Congregation. This gift is towatch out for and protect the flock against the tactics of the enemy tatoperated through fake members in their midst.

    11. Mercy, look after sick orphans, widows and poor  – This is the Giftthat shows compassion and reaches out a helping hand to those who areneedy and sick. They have a compassionate heart and love to work withneedy people, teaching them to stand up on their feet again.

    12. Exhortation, Encouragement (Prayer &Intersession)  – Some believers have the urgeto pray and intercede for situations and people. They can spend hours in prayer without breakinga sweat and have a desire to spend time inYHVH's presence. This is a unique Gift thatrequired a lot of personal time and is a Gift thatis necessary to safeguard and protect theCommunity against attacks from the enemy. ThisGift typically goes hand in hand with the Gift of Tongues where people

pray in the Spirit, speaking YHVH’s words into a situation, apart from theinterference of man.

In conclusion, we have looked at the building of the “smaller houses”, that is youand me so that YHVH can live within us. We learn what the function andpurpose of the Spirit if YHVH is as well as our function to provide the oil. Afterthat we looked at the “larger House” the Assembly or Congregation whereYHVH build us up in His Body through the Gifts of the Spirit. You need to askYHVH what Gifts He has for you so that He can anoint you to start working inHis House as a member of His Priesthood.
