This week we will look at entering the House where we will live as His childrenas part of His Family which is one of the privileges of becoming a Bondservant /Son. The Scripture talks extensively about the Tabernacle and uses morechapters in Scripture than any other topic, meaning that the subject of theTabernacle is imperative for us to know about because it reveals so much detailabout YHVH how He functions.

Q - How much do we as believers know about the Tabernacle and what all thesymbols it represents?

We are going to explore some aspects of the Tabernacle and cover as much aswe can, but it will be impossible to cover all of it in this Portion. The wordTabernacle is basically translated from two Hebrew words; “mishkan” and“ohel” . These words are used interchangeably throughout the Tenach (OT) tospeak of its structure in general but do represent two different aspects of thestructure. The word ohel speaks of the overhanging or covering the tentapparatus, and the mishkan represents all the items that lift it up and supports

the Tabernacle from a structural point of view.

Tabernacle –  Covering - Behold

“Ohel” (behold) speaks of a tent or covering and comes fromthe verbal root “ahal” , that means “to radiate or shine forth” .Ohel is a word that is used when we “behold” something withour eyes. This gives us the idea of seeing something that is“covered”, like beholding the Presence or Glory of YHVH.The Tabernacle makes it possible to see the unseen glory ofYHVH, giving meaning and purpose to the Tabernacle and

the importance thereof as well as knowing the Father Whocannot be seen. This is why YHVH gave us His Tabernacle

because all these aspects He wants to reveal to us is embedded in all thesymbolism found in the Tabernacle. It is like analysing Him when we study theTabernacle.

Tabernacle –  Covering - Support

Mishkan (support) is a more common word that is used for Tabernacle andmeans, “to support” and “dwelling place”. “Mishkan”  comes from the verbal root“ shakan”  that is connected to the Glory of YHVH

(shikanah), but is also translated as “to dwell, toremain, to habitat or to continue”.

The interesting aspect of this “supporting structure”is that it is the Glory itself that forms the supportstructure of the Tabernacle. Just like a Hot AirBalloon is filled with hot air (unseen) that gives it its“support” through pressure, so does YHVH’s Gloryfrom the “pushing force” (like hot air) that givesstrength and form to the Tabernacle. The “shape” ofthe Tabernacle that reveals the “energy” within so that it can be seen (Ohel).

The Tabernacle forms the “outward skin” that shows the “inward Glory” (Mishkan) which is the essence of YHVH’s Presence and Glory.

Symbolism within the Tabernacle

The Tabernacle is one of YHVH’s Masterpieces where He uses physical thingsto reveal the unseen mysteries and spiritual aspects of His Creation that existswithin Him. Every colour, material used, dimension, object, symbol, pattern, sequence, every detail mentioned in the construction of the Tabernacle arethoroughly planned and thought through so that it’s design can capture andreveal a multidimensional unseen existence of a supernatural God in order forus to learn about Him and to ultimately know Him.

YHVH always uses a pattern to explain something spiritual in the physical. Hebegins by giving them an earthly structure that will speak to us of heavenlythings, specifically the Messiah and the work He has done and will do on this

earth. We will try to see the Father’s heart as well as the attributes and work ofthe Messiah, all the personal things that are hidden within the detail of theTabernacle.

We will start from the outside and work our way in, from the Outer Court whereeverybody could enter, through the Holy Place right to the Holy of Holies wherethe Presence of YHVH dwelled. We will look at each piece of furniture as wemove through to see if we can find what YHVH wants to reveal to us as well aswhat He intends to reveal about us in regards to drawing closer to Him. We willlook at the different patterns; firstly the “Tabernacle Pattern” and then the“Menorah Pattern”, each forming spiritual building blocks and reveals differentsteps or stages we will encounter in our walk with YHVH. For example, there

are 3 Gates you need to enter, and we will see what each of these Gatesrepresent.

The Outer Court

Court is the word “chatzer ” , thatcomes from the root word, “chatzar ” ,which means to make a sound. This isa place where all the people meet, wherethey engaged with other people and where the

animals are prepared for the sacrificial service. It issomewhat noisy, and you can smell smoke with burnt meat, skin and hair amongst the slathering of animals and flow of blood.

Page 4: Parashah 19- T'Rumah

Personal Application: The Court Area pictures the body of Messiah of whichyou are part of, and this is the place where everybody interacts with each other. There it can be a noisy place where you face all the dynamics of relationships, and sometimes you smell and see things that are not that pleasant.

Entering the Firs t Gate: This is the place you walk into after you entered the

First Gate, where you made a decision to follow Y’shua. The Outer Court issurrounded with fine-twined linen that represents righteousness as if to say thatthe righteousness that is inside the Tabernacle is transferred from the insideand reflected on the outside so that people can see the righteousness on theoutside or in the world. In other words, the Outer Court reflects your life and theway you interact with fellow believers to those inside and on the outside of the“linen wall” (skin of the Body). It is your job to walk in such as way that yourgarments (actions) are of fine linen (be righteous) so that people can bereached on the outside being attracted to the light you reflect through your life(living righteously).

The Brazen Altar - Repentance

The Brazen Altar is within the Outer C ourt Area and is the very first thing you encounter

when you enter the F irst G ate. “Bronze” is

the word “nekhoshet ” and is spelled  tsxn

“nun-chet-shin-tav” and it means “hardened”, but also means fetter, harlotry and lust .

Nun n means fruitfulness, chet x

means life,

shin s means El Shaddai and Fire (Spirit)

and tav t means mark or sign or "Stake"

(death of Y'shua). “We will be fruitful and have Life through the cleansing of HisSpirit (Fire) and the Blood of the Lamb (Tav), that is our sign”.

Bronze represents judgment, and this altar is to be the ultimate place of

judgment. This altar is to be called the altar of burnt offering (Ex 30:28, Lev 4:7).This altar is to be distinguished from the altar of incense.

The word for altar  is “mizebecha” . This word comes from the verbal root “zavach”. “ Zavach” is the Hebrew word for “sacrifice, or offering”. So, the altaris the noun and the sacrifice is the verb, or the action. The literal meaning of“zavach” , or offering, is to prepare something for a higher purpose. It is directly

connected to the preparation of a meal to satisfy a guest. For example, in Gen

31:54 we see the sacrifice being connected directly to the eating of a meal;

when a bullock, a lamb, or a goat is offered upon this altar, YHVH is satisfied.

Nose in Hebrew is the word 'anaph, and means 'anger' and 'wrath' as well. InLev 9:22 - 10:5 we read that when the sacrifice is offered, and the fire of theoffering is according to YHVH's instructions, then the fire of YHVH comes downand consumes the offering. However, if man chooses to oppose YHVH but todo it in his way, then the fire and wrath of YHVH comes down and consumes

the man instead of the sacrifice.

Page 5: Parashah 19- T'Rumah

  5

When the coals of sacrifice and the sweet incense of the altar rise up to YHVH,then He blesses the people. However, when YHVH smells a strange fire, Hisanger is kindled against the people.

Personal Application: The Brazen Altar is the place where you lay down your

life before YHVH the same way Y’shua laid His life upon the Altar for you. This

gives meaning to the passage that says that we should become living sacrificesbefore YHVH. This is the place where you repent  of all your sins and where you

lay your flesh upon the Altar so that the Messiah can “cut away” those thingsthat make you fleshly. If you keep on sinning, you have to stay at the Altar and

will not be able to move to the next level that is inside the Holy Place behindGate 2. Caution should be taken if “dwell” at the Brazen Altar” and cannot “getover your fleshiness” because it is the closest object to the First Gate where youcan exit back into the world by backsliding. Push forward and fight the good

fight against the flesh and move on towards the Laver and the next Gate.

The Laver - Cleansing

The Laver represents Baptism or Mikvah that you need to gothrough to the next level of your relationship with YHVH.

Laver is the Hebrew word “kiyor” . That means “to purify”. Itis also the word used for “furnace”.

Pro 17:3  The refining pot is for silver, and the FURNACE for gold; but YHVH tests the heart.

This is the second object you encounter after you enter the First

G ate. The Laver is the next part of the steps you have to encounter

before you can proceed and enter through the S econd Gateleading into the Holy Place. The Priests had to cleanse themselves

before entering into the Holy Place through the washing of water.

Personal Application: The Brazen Altar dealt with your sin, but the Laver is

dealing with purification. The Laver symbolises something deeper and is about

the cleansing of our hearts that is cleansed as with the purifying of silver andgold in a furnace and fire. After you are “born again” entering the First Gate, you

will “grow up” encountering life challenges that will increase the “heat” to exposeimpurities in your life. You must then use the S cripture to “look into as a mirror”to see the impurities and then wash clean with the water of the Word. This is a

“fine tuning” process and deals with smaller hidden sins and habits in your life.

The Laver is also a picture of Baptism or Mikvah that is one of the steps you

have to go through before entering the “Holy Place”. We will now discuss themeaning of the Holy Place and what it means regarding your walk with YHVH.

The Holy Place

The Holy Place contained three articles of furniture, the Altar of Incense, whichstood in the centre, the Golden Menorah with all its vessels, which stood on theleft side centre, and the Table of Showbread with its dishes, spoons, covers, and bowls, which stood on the right side centre. Only the Priests were allowedto enter the Holy Place to renew the bread on the Showbread table, to offerincense on the Altar and to renew the wicks of the Menorah.

Personal Application: You can only enter the Holy Place after you entered theSecond Gate. And this is a picture of you moving to the next level of serving theBody of Messiah. This is when you have reached a level of spiritual maturitywhere you start to serve YHVH and His people. You are no longer dependanton others but started to walk in a personal relationship with YHVH. Thisrelationship is based on the three objects inside the Holy Place; the Menorah(Light - Revelation), the Showbread (Word – Truth) and the Golden Altar ofIncense (Prayers) that will equip you to serve YHVH and the people. Holymeans to be set apart and the Holy Place represents the time you spend withYHVH personally so that you can grow into a mature intimate relationship withHim.

Menorah – Lampstand

This is the 3rd object described in this Parashah. You will find the word candlestick or lampstand but

is the Hebrew word hrvn m  “menorah” . This word

comes from the word “ner ” that means light.

The middle of the word “menorah” is the word rvn,

“noor ” that means “fire”. With the addition of theprefix and suffix, the light now becomes theapparatus from which the light shines, illuminates,or reveals. We have learned previously that Fire is

linked to the Spirit of YHVH and this is one of themeanings of the Menorah.

The Menorah is one of the three lights we find exploring the Tabernacle. TheFirst light is the sun, the natural light that is created on day four that shinesupon the Outer Court as well as the people on the outside. The second light isthe Menorah, a physical man maintained light, that lights up the Holy Place. Thethird Light is YHVH’s Shikana Glory that that is a spiritual light that lights up theinside of the Holy of Holies.

Your walk begins in the natural light, but as you draw closer to YHVH, youencounter His Second Light, the Menorah that represents Y’shua, the Light ofthe world. (John 8:12). As you follow Y’shua, you will move into the Holy Placeand from there into the Holy of Holies to meet the Father where you willencounter the Light that existed before Creation, the Light that was revealed onthe first day when YHVH said, “Let there be light”.

The Menorah is the centre piece that connects the light natural light on theoutside and the spiritual light in the Hoy of Holies. The First Light was createdon Day 4 that defined Times and Seasons, day and night, which definesYHVH’s Calendar and His Festivals. The final Light or Day 1 Light is YHVH’sGlory that is the Light we are heading towards. This means that we are goingfrom Day 4 back to Day 1, reversing the “Creation Sequence” or RestorationProcess. The Menorah represents the things that must take place for thisRestoration to happen.

Work of the Messiah: This makes the Menorah thepinnacle of this process and is the Pattern thatreveals the “Work of the Messiah” becauseeverything was created through Him and everythingwill be restored through Him. The Work of theMessiah is captured on the Seven Branches of the

Menorah and depicts the seven Feasts of YHVH,the seven steps in Restoring His fallen Creation. The first 4 Feasts are already fulfilled during theFirst Coming of Messiah, but the last three Feastsare still to be fulfilled at His Second Coming.

Work of the Spirit: The Menorah represents theSpirit of YHVH as well, and the Seven Branchesreveals YHVH’s Spirit and the Work of the Spirit inus as found in Isaiah chapter 11.

 Isa 11:2  And the Spirit of YHVH shall rest uponhim, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, thespirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledgeand of the fear of YHVH;

The 7 attributes of YHVH’s Spirit are: Wisdom andUnderstanding, Counsel and Might, Knowledge andFear. These 6 lead to the 7th that is YHVH Himself. You can picture these seven attributes on theMenorah with the Spirit of YHVH right in the middlewith the other 6 moving from the outside in, eachrevealing more of YHVH and this giving the stages

His Spirit takes you through to know and draw closerto Him.

You start out with Knowledge, getting information that there is a God out thereand that He loves you. Then you make a decision to follow Him, and youdevelop a Fear and respect for Him. These are on the two outside Brancheswhere you start, from the outside moving in, from the Gate and the Outer Court. Here you encounter the knowledge of sin and the sacrifice that was made onyour behalf through the Lamb of YHVH, Y’shua that was sacrificed for all sin.

The next stage of your walk is revealed by the next two inner Branches,Strength and Counsel, that represents the Holy Place experience. This is whereyou encounter the Spirit of YHVH Who gives you Strength to follow HisCounsel. It is a place where you “learn to walk” in His Ways. Inside the HolyPlace, you will see the Lampstand (Spirit) that will cast light upon the Word ofYHVH (Showbread), that you need for direction in your life to live a righteous lifeas well as finding His Plan for your life.

The last Stage is found moving to the two inner branches that are the closest tothe centre Branch (YHVH). This is where you “started to walk” with Him and

learned His Wisdom and have a better Understanding of His Word, of life andHis Creation and your purpose. Not only that, you have started to Know Himmore intimately and developed a personal relationship with Him. This is adeeper knowledge and understanding of YHVH than compared to your initialKnowledge of Him and can only be learned practically through knowing andwalking in His Word and following His Spirit.

The Almond Blossom

The Menorah is a single beaten work of goldaccording to Ex 25:33-38. It had bowls made like

almonds and at the top of each branch thatcontained the oil that gave the light.

Q – Why the Almond Blossom?

The flowers, or “perach” , extended downwardfrom the bowls. This word means to blossom, grow, or produce. They added fruitful beauty tothe Menorah as well as to the Bride when she

goes through the seven beautifying steps described earlier.

In this blossom, we see Yahweh’s standard, or His measurement, His plumbline, which is Y’shua, Who was pure and white, yet stained with the blood of

sacrifice as seen in the crimson colour as represented by the colours foundwithin the almond blossom. Crimson and White are the colours that identify theBride as well; She is pure and whitewashed in the Blood of His sacrifice, applying His blood, giving her new life and beauty.

The word 'almonds' share a very interesting root with another word. The wordfor almond is “shaqad” which shares the exact same spelling as it's verbal root,“shaqad” that is translated as "watch", "alert", or “to be sleepless”. Thesealmond-shaped bearers of the oil for the light represents the Watchman on thewalls of Jerusalem as described in the Book of Isaiah.

Isa 62:5-7   For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall Your sonsmarry You: and as the Bridegroom rejoices over the Bride, so shall yourGod rejoice over you. 6 I have set watchmen upon your walls, O

Page 9: Parashah 19- T'Rumah

Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: you thatmake mention of YHVH, keep not silence, 7  And give Him no rest, till Heestablish, and till He make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

The context of this verse is where the Bridegroom will gather His Bride, and theWatchman will give Him no rest until Jerusalem is made “ praise” in the earth.

Q – Can you see the connection between the Menorah and the Watchman andthe Festivals?

The Menorah represents the “Work of the Messiah” that is revealed in theFeasts of YHVH, and these Festivals are the “Lights on the Wall” that shinesdown to reveal who is coming. It was these “Watchman” that revealed theMessiah the first time as He approached Jerusalem and it will be the Watchmanor Feasts that will reveal the Messiah at His Second Coming. Without theWatchman on the Wall, there will be no “Light” that can reveal the and theMessiah and the people in “darkness” will be deceived by the Anti-Messiah.This connects with the parable of the 10 Virgins where only 5 had oil in their

lamps, only 5 of them were Watchman on the Wall expecting the Messiah, looking for Him through the light of His Menorah, representing His Festivals.

Table of Shewbread - Taste

This is the 2nd object described in this Parashahmaking it the second most important object nextto the Ark of the Covenant. Showbread is theHebrew word “Lechem” that is first found inScripture in Gen 3:19 where YHVH said; “…in thesweat of your face you shall eat bread …until you returnto the ground ”.  Looking at this verse gives us the insightinto the things we need that will keep you alive spiritually.Let's look at each one of them individually.

Sweat is the Hebrew word “ze-ah” that comes from the root word “zu-ah”that means “to tremble” as a result of fear or respect.

Face is the Hebrew word “aph”  that means “nose” comes from the rootword “anaph” that means anger that is associated with the Brazen Altar andGolden Altar Offerings where the sweet smell of the offerings make YHVHrest from His anger.

Eat is the Hebrew word “akal” that is found in Gen 2:16 where YHVH toldman from which trees he could eat and not eat from.

Bread is the word “Lechem” that is associated with the Word of YHVH.

Spiritual Application: If we put all these things together and look at them froma spiritual perspective we see that we stay spiritually alive when we “tremblebefore YHVH out of reverence and respect for Him. We need to have a “healthyfear ” of YHVH, and that is only possible if we really know Him. To start to knowHim is to “tremble at His Word” as found in Isa 66:5. We also need to offer upboth offerings; the one at the Brazen Altar, which has to do with repentance

from sin and the one on the Golden Altar, which has to do with thanksgiving andworship.

Page 10: Parashah 19- T'Rumah

8/20/2019 Parashah 19- T'Rumah

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/parashah-19-trumah 10/13

  10

This will cause a sweet aroma to rise up to YHVH, and we will find favour withHim. Then we need to study the Word of YHVH that is the Bread of Life that willsustain us spiritually (John 6:35). Lastly, we need to eat from the “Tree of Life”which is His Spirit that gives us a new nature. All these things are needed tosustain your Spiritual health so that you can live and not die.

Ps 34:8  O taste and see that YHVH is good: blessed is the man thattrusts in Him.

Y’shua said in Mat 4:4 that no man can live by bread alone but live by everyword that proceeds from the mouth of YHVH. This connects the Word of YHVHwith the Table of Showbread that stands in the light of the Menorah. You cannotread the Word in the darkness, and the Word of YHVH can only be understoodas revealed by the light of the Menorah (His Spirit).

Living in His House: To study the Word of YHVH (including HisCommandments) is part of the experience you need inside the House of yourMaster. This is where you learn how to behave like a Child of the King, what to

do and not to do as an appropriate son/daughter of YHVH. These are the“house rules” that every family has to function in love as a unit. The childrenlearn to respect their Father and get along with their siblings, and if there areany issues, the Father’s Wisdom will be applied to resolve the things that mightdestroy the relationships within the Family of YHVH. This is what YHVH’sCommandments are for, to regulate the behaviours and to teach His Childrenhow to be a Family living in His House.

Loving Discipline: The House rules contains Blessings and Curses (reaction tobeing naughty) or consequences for sin so that the loving Father can disciplineHis Children out of love. You sometimes wonder why bad things happen to

good people and this is one of the reasons, your Father allows these things tobring you back to Him because any form of sin will cause a wedge and barrierbetween you and Him that will eventually destroy your relationship with Him. Inthis sense His discipline is His Grace towards you, just like Paul regarding thethorn in his flesh where YHVH said; “My Grace is enough for you…”

The Golden Altar of Incense

This is an object is not found in this Parashah and but wewill discuss it as part of the Tabernacle furnishings. All theobjects outside the Holy Place was made from bronze, and

all the objects inside the Holy Place and Holy of Holies aremade from Gold representing the Divinity and Kingship ofYHVH. The Golden Altar of Incense was the last object youencountered before entering the Holy of Holies and stoodbefore the veil that separated the Holy and Most Holyplaces. The Golden Altar was fueled with coals that werebrought in from the Brazen Altar on the outside, connectingthe two Altars. Incense was poured upon the coals to createa sweet smell and beautiful aroma inside the Holy Place.

Personal Application: Burning this incense was a continuous act, just as we

are to "pray without ceasing." (1 Thes 5:17) The Golden Altar is one of thethree objects inside the Holy Place that has to do with your relationship withYHVH.

Page 11: Parashah 19- T'Rumah

  11

The Golden Altar stood in front of the inner veil, which separated the Holy Placefrom the Holy of Holies and was the closest object to the Ark of the Covenantand the mercy seat that represents the Presence of the Father.

Today, Believers in Messiah are assured their prayers are pleasing to theFather because they are offered by our great high priest, Y’shua the Messiah.

Just as the incense carried a perfumed odour, our prayers are scented with therighteousness of the Saviour. In Rev 8:3-4, John tells us the prayers of thesaints ascend to the altar in heaven before the throne of YHVH, where theTabernacle is a pattern of the Real Temple in Heaven.

The Holy of Holies

The second or inner chamber is called the MostHoly Place or Holy of Holies, was ten cubits(4.5m) on each side and consequently a perfectcube. The entrance wall consisted of the veil, and the other three walls were finished withhighly polished gold.

The Veil hanged consists of a blue, purple, andscarlet curtain, richly embroidered with goldencherubim. The only article of furniture inside theHoly of Holies was the Ark of the Covenant that

contained the Testimony of YHVH.

Personal Application: You enter this area through the 3rd Gate, the final Gatethat opens the way to meet the Father Face to Face. This is a picture of you

moving to the next level of your relationship with the Father. The Holy Placewas more about walking with Y’shua, learning His Word and serving the people. This is where you engage in meditative prayer seeking to connect on a deepspiritual intimate level with the Father. Not a lot of people enter in through thisGate to seek the Father’s heart.

Ark of the CovenantYHVH gave specific instructions for theconstruction of His dwelling place. He started, first of all, describing the very heart of theTabernacle, which is the Ark of the Covenant.

The Ark is the first object described in theConstruction of the Tabernacle and thus making itthe most important piece of furniture representingthe Throne of YHVH as well as the Heart of theFather.

As with many translated words, the word "ark" does not fully describe its propermeaning. Ark is the word 'aron in Hebrew and means “chest”, that comes fromthe root word “arah” that means “gathering”. In this context, it is the containeror gathering place for the Testimony of YHVH that is represented by the TenCommandments, the Rod of Aaron and a bowl of Manna.

Knowing that the Ark is the most Holy and sacred object within the wholeTabernacle, makes its contents even more important.

It is somber to see that many Churches today do not value all the contents inthe Ark, i.e. the Commandments that is part of the Heart and Testimony ofYHVH.

From His point of view, this entire structure is constructed around His Word. HisWord was, and is, and will always be the centre of His Presence and the way to

move closer into a relationship with Him. The Ark is the “gathering place”, andHe wants to “gather us” to Himself, making us Echad (one) with Him.

The Ark was made of 'tzey shittiym or shittim wood that istranslated as aphthartos (Greek) that mean incorruptible. Thisword is sometimes translated as acacia wood. This tree isfound in dry places and has very deep roots that can drawnourishment from deep within the earth.

Spiritual Application: This tree is not an attractive tree whencompared for example to a mighty oak or a giant redwood treeand relates to Y’shua that was not a very attractive man according to Isa 53:2.“ For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parchedground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Norappearance that we should be attracted to Him.”

Shittim wood branches are thorny and were used by shepherds to placeover the sheep pens at night to protect the sheep from predators. It isbelieved that this the same thorn bush branches that were used to makethe “crown” Y’shua wore when they crucified Him. Thorns were first found

in Eden after YHVH cursed the ground, the thorn bush burned when YHVHspoke to Moses, and now we see Y’shua wearing both, the “curse” and the“anointing fire”.

Another interesting aspect can be seen in the connection between the Ark and

the High Priest. Ark is spelled “Aleph–Resh –Vav –Nun”  ר ו ן  Aaron  is

spelled “Aleph–Hey –Resh –Vav –Nun” ר ו

It is similar to Abram and

Abraham with the Hey” inserted. “hey” means “Light or Revelation” andresembles the Spirit of YHVH as well. Aaron was the first High Priest, and theLast High Priest is revealed (Hey) in Y’shua.

All of this points to Y’shua represented by the Ark of the Covenant, being the

Testimony of YHVH as confirmed in John 1:1,14 where it reveals Him as theWord of YHVH (Ten Commandments) In John 10:11 it reveals Him as the GoodShepherd (Rod of Aaron) and in John 6:35 it reveals Him as the Bread of Life(Bowl of Manna). All three objects are bearing testimony of the Messiah whichis the main “Object” of the Dwelling Place of YHVH, inside the Ark of theCovenant ( the heart of the Father), Inside the Holy of Holies (His Presence),inside the Court area of the Tabernacle (His Body/people). He is protected andcovered by all three layers as well as revealed by the contents and essence ofthe Tabernacle.

The Tabernacle Pattern - Approaching the Father

Y’shua said in John 14:6 “I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes tothe Father except through me”. This was a pattern that was already revealedthrough the Tabernacle entrances, or Gates as they are sometimes called.

1. Y’shua is the Way . There was only one way into the Tabernacle. There wereno side doors or places you could sneak in. This structure was a tent that couldbe taken down and put back together as the Israelites were in the wildernessduring the Exodus. There is only one entrance that leads to the Father.

2. Y’shua is the Truth. This is where you move from the Outer Court throughthe 2nd Gate into the Holy Place where you learn to “walk with Him” and beequipped to serve the Body. This is the place where you engage in His Word, through His Spirit and worship Him through your prayers. We learn to Worship(Prayers) the Father in Sprit (Menorah) and Truth (Showbread).

2. Y’shua is the Life. The only way to enterinto the Holy of Holies is to move through theHoly Place and the 3rd Gate. Inside the Holy ofHolies is where you find the Ark of theCovenant ( the heart of the Father) thatcontained the Testimony of YHVH; the TwoTablets with the Ten Commandments, the Rodof Aaron and a bowl of Manna representing theName and Character of the Father.

The Holy of Holies is a cube that has 26 attributes if you count and add the

number of sides, corners and edges. This is the same number you get whenyou add up the numbers of the letters of YHVH’s Name (5+10+6+10 = 26). Thismeans that you will find the Father ‘s Name inside the Holy of Holies inside the Ark of the Covenant.

His Name and Character is covered by the Mercy Seat where the blood wassprinkled once a year on Yom Kippur. This is where the Blood of Messiah wasoffered and the Veil was torn so that all nations can access the Father. It is onlythrough the Blood of the Lamb (Y’shua) and His Mercy (Grace) that you areSaved (have access to the Father). This gives a new perspective on what itmeans to be saved; it is to have access to the Father explaining the words of

the Covenant spoken to Abraham where YHVH said that He is our exceedinglyGreat Reward.

Q – Learning about the different levels of relationship with YHVH, where do yousee yourself in regards to the 3 Gates, the 3 Areas and the 6 Objects inside theHouse of the Father?

Do you have an Outer Court relationship where you are continually pulled backto the Brazen Altar because you cannot shake a pet sin. Are you in the HolyPlace learning to walk or are you spending time applying what you have learnedserving the Body of Messiah? Are you taking time off from your busy life tospend time in the presence of the Father so that you can listen what is on His

heart? Examine yourself according to the Tabernacle Pattern and the MenorahPattern to see where you are and where you want to be and what you have todo to grow in your personal relationship with the Father living in His House.
