The students and staff of the Pelican Learning Centre would like to thank all the market helpers in 2013
for funding the much needed shade structures recently constructed in the outdoor courtyards. The year
1s & 2s will soon be reconstructing their garden to enhance their outdoor space.

Student of the WeekStudents will be presented with certificates at Monday morning assembly.
Prep B Mrs Bos Mason Coleman Mason has made a great start to the year! Well done for being a great helper, role
model and for improving his organisation and responsibility skills.
Prep P Mrs Prossor Alfred Tomakin-Barrett for the great start he has made to beginning school. He is a great listener
and is friendly and happy.
1H Mrs Hughes 1P Miss Perkins Alisha Vassallo for her fantastic start to Grade One! She has settled in well and is working hard in the
classroom.
2B Mrs Baird Nash PenzoNash has shown that he understands and practices the RICH values at all times making him
an excellent role model for all the Year 2s.
2J - Mrs Johnstone Jennifer Dingwell for Great Buddy Readingand quizzing Mrs J on the book.
3/4T Miss Withers Lilly Gorton you have settled n well to 3/4T, what an improvement you have made, your
confidence has grown and you are a great role model to others. Keep up the great work.
3/W Ms Walton Cooper Blewett + Isabel Southon welcome to Tootgarook, you have settled in really well and are
having a great start to the year.
4/5S Miss Staley LRoy Bunker congratulations on a wonderful start to the year. It is great to see that you are
consistently focused in class and take pride in your work. You are a team player and always willing to lend a helping hand,
which is greatly appreciated. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of Australia with enthusiasm - you are an asset to ourIntegrated Studies class! Keep up the fantastic work!
5Q Miss Quintin - You're a self-directed learner who comes to school every day prepared and willing to learn. It's
fantastic to see how well you've settled in to our grade. Enjoy the comfortable chair all week Isabelle Nightingale!

Instrumental Music lessons begin next week.
RUNNING CLUBRunning Club will be starting Tuesday Week, the 18thof February. Last year we had lots of children,younger siblings and parents attend. This valuable community service can only run with theassistance of parent helpers and volunteers.
I am looking for a running Club Coordinator. The role involves marking how many laps eachparticipant completes, and recording this information. If you could assist on a Tuesday and/orThursday morning from 8-9am could you please let Paul King know.Thankyou
CrossFit Kids Dromana has started! Running on Monday & Wednesdays. 3-5 yrs at 9:30 & 6-12 yrs at 4:05pm. $10members and $15 non-members.
The CrossFit Kids program teaches weightlifting, body weight callisthenics, gymnastics, running and more, allwhile having fun! In a NEW purpose built facility just for kids with experienced coaches. BREAKFAST CLUB
Breakfast Club will be starting Tuesday Week, the 18th
of February. Last year we
had 75-100 children attend, on a regular basis. This valuable community service
can only run with the assistance of parent and grandparent helpers and
volunteers.
