The Baltimore Book Festival offers numerous sponsorable program areas (listed below) and benefits (page 6) to help accomplish your objectives. We’re open to your creative ideas and suggestions for tying into the festival to create your unique experience for attendees.
10’x10’ exhibit space is typically included at the Tier 1 level or higher & includes 20 amps of power.
Larger exhibit spaces are available (on 1st-come, 1st-served basis), pricing varies with square footage.
Title of Festival *Requires minimum two-year commitment Become the festival’s primary sponsor and receive title naming rights recognition in all controlled festival references, e.g. program, app, signage, advertisements, etc.
Presenter of Festival Present the festival to thousands through your generous sponsorship, and receive credit within all controlled festival references, e.g. program, app, signage, advertisements, etc.
The Children’s Corridor Children and families enjoy a festival all their own with crafts and other cool interactive activities, children’s book author presentations and more!

STAGES
Literary Salon Presenting nationally-renowned & celebrity authors through readings, book signings and engaging panel discussions. Past authors include Terrence J, Meg Cabot, James McBride, Laura Lippman, Cornel West, Amy Goodman and Sherman Alexie.
Food for Thought Stage Some of America’s best known chefs bring their recipes to life with live cooking demos and delicious samples for festival attendees. Past appearances include Brian Boitano, Kate Gosselin, Aaron “Big Daddy” McCargo, Daisy Martinez (Food Network), Father Leo Patalinghug, Daphne Oz and others.
The Children’s Bookstore Stage Highlights the nation’s top children’s authors & illustrators. Past author appearances include Tommie DePaola, Jon Scieszka, Libba Bray, Jackie Urbanovic, Sophie Blackall and others.
Radical Bookfair Pavilion Brings together radical, independent and DIY publishers – drawing a whole new audi-ence to the festival. Previous appearances by Madea Benjamin, Dean Spade, Dave Zirwin, Sheri Parks, Max Rameau, Amy Goodman and exhibitors such as AK Press.
City Lit Stage A variety of literary arts with special attention given to the region’s diverse mix of authors.
Maryland Romance Writers Showcasing the romance genre with novels by first-time authors, tips for beginning and established writers and panels on engaging topics.
PROGRAMMING AREAS
Music Stage The area’s best local and regional musicians come alive with something for every musi-cal taste from jazz, blues, rock and everything in between.
Authors’ Tent Features self-published authors from around the country who connect directly with in-terested readers.
Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America
Programming by member authors and special guests from the science fiction/ fantasy genres.
Charm City Comic Pavilion Thousands of books and collectibles, professional comic book creators and game de-signers, plus informative panels.
Festival Information / Welcome The Festival Information Station is a one-stop shop for attendees – answering ques-tions, providing programs and more.
SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES
Baltimore Book Festival App The Baltimore Book Festival App premiered in 2013, and gives attendees another tool to plan their festival visit. There were 1,113 downloads in 2013.
Readers Lounge It’s the perfect place to unwind, catch up on reading and meet other literature enthu-siasts. This festival favorite returns in 2014.
Street Decals An eye-catching way to advertise and/or provide way-finding instructions. May be part of benefit package. Limited to select sponsorships.

PROMOTIONAL EXHIBIT SPACE
These spaces are confirmed on a first-signed, first-served basis. Exhibit space allows sponsors to directly interact with up to 40,000 people. Space may be used for product/service display, distribution of sample-sized promotional items and subscriptions/registrations.
Final pricing based on space requirements, location and package com-ponents, including rights and logistical requests such as tenting, elec-tric, tables/chairs and parking.
Examples of sampling successes include over 15,000 Muller yogurt samples, 5,000 C-SPAN promotional items and 385 sales leads gener-ated for Nissan. Roaming rights may be negotiated.
IN-KIND SPONSORSHIPS
Organizations that may not be able to offer cash sponsorships are welcomed to participate in the Baltimore Book Festival as in-kind sponsors. This opportunity is perfect for a company willing to offer a good or service in exchange for exposure to the festival’s target audience. Longstanding in-kind partners include Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, Agora Publishing Com-pany and several area hotels.
