Power Control Centre is considered to be theheart of an electrical system in any industry.Particular demands are therefore made interms of long term reliability and safety. Thisis to say, “supply”, “coupling” and “feeder”functions must be reliably available over longperiod of time. Maintenance and testing mustnot involve long down-times. Siemens 8PUmeets these requirements with 8PUL4.5Power Control Centres.

All indicators like ACB positionindicator, mechanical counter &“ready to close” condition arevisible with the door closed.

Non compartmentalised distribution boards are newentrants in the Siemens Low Voltage Switchboards productrange. They are designed for the various industrialapplications as well as for the high rise buildings. Thesedistribution boards can be used for distribution of electricalpower for lighting and other resistive loads.

Compact, Flexible yet safe

• The incoming switching device (MCCB/SFU) is providedin a separate compartment.

• State of the art Siemens Switchgear (SFU / MCCB / MCBs)are used.

• All the outgoing MCBs are DIN rail mounted withadequate spacing between them.

• Metering devices can also be provided on the panel door.

• The height ranges from 500mm to 2000mm.

• Double door design are provided for extra safety.

• Wall mounted design upto 1500mm height and floormounted design for 1550mm and 2000mm heightdistribution boards are available.

Siemens 8PU is a type tested switchboardwhose physical characteristics weredesigned in the test laboratory both fornormal operating conditions as well as forfault situations. These type tests,conducted in an independent testlaboratory/Inhouse, assures maximumreliability and safety. A few of the majortype tests carried out are:

• Verification of temperature rise limits.

• Verification of impulse voltage.

• Verification of the short circuitwithstand.

• Verification of degree of protection.

Every Siemens 8PU switchboard assemblyundergoes routine testing before deliverywhich are :
