Jelly Bean Fun Kids love jelly beans and the best part of this unit is they get to eat them after they're done. Buy several bags of assorted jelly beans. (Red, yellow, black, green and orange, etc.). Pour the jelly beans into a large, plastic bowl. Have each child reach into the bowl and grab a handful (or two) of jelly beans. They will use these jelly beans to do the following sheets. There is so much you can do with jelly beans! Play, learn and enjoy. 1 - 2 - 3 Learn Curriculum

    following "Assorted Colors" activity.

    Assorted Colors

    Supplies Needed:

Jelly bean templates, laminated - different colors. (Red, green, yellow, purple, black, white, green and pink).

    Several bags of jelly beans.

Baggies or plastic cups / bowls.

Let children have fun with this colorful sorting activity. For each color of jelly bean you have, make a jelly bean template in that color - laminated and trimmed.

Place the jelly bean templates and jelly beans in baggies with children's names into the jelly bean center. You can also use plastic cups or bowls. One for each child.

To use this center, have children place one of each different color of laminated jelly bean shapes in front of him and sort the matching real jelly beans onto the shapes.

After children are done matching, they can eat their jelly beans.

What a treat for a sorting job well done!

Please note: Keep an eye on younger children during this activity.
