“I will cherish the memories made at IES for a lifetime! The time spent here has been full of learning opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom. IES is not only a fantastic platform to help prepare you to study at The University of Queensland, but it’s also a place that offers endless networking opportunities.
Thanks to IES, I’ve had the chance to speak at a launch event and network with professionals from various industries in Australia, and was invited to attend the Multicultural Queensland Awards Gala event organised by the Queensland Department of Multicultural Affairs.”

COURSE STRUCTURECOURSE STRUCTURE
To be awarded the 10950NAT Certificate IV in University Preparation qualification learners must complete a minimum of six (6) units made up
of two (2) Core, one (1) Core Elective, and three (3) Electives. The total number of units will depend on the student’s elective selections. Some electives, such as Accounting, are made up of a cluster of units and all units must be successfully completed to achieve the Accounting elective.
Mathematics or Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) are classified as core electives, and learners must select and complete at least one of them to achieve the qualification. Learners who have selected HASS as their core elective may choose Mathematics as one of their other 3 elective selections. This will help them keep their undergraduate course options open. Similarly, learners who have selected Mathematics as their core elective may choose HASS as one of their other 3 elective selections. Students who choose the HASS Stream must check the entry requirements of their undergraduate degree of choice before making a decision as many degrees have a minimum Math requirement.
The remaining three (3) Electives may be chosen by the learner in accordance with their undergraduate study / career aspirations.
