FFA Wins 4th State Championship

Congratulations to the Cambridge FFA for bringing home their 4th straight State Championship for Agricultural Communications! Great job Sara Beth Goud, Sarah Beth Waller, Taleen Hanna, and Harrison Phillips. Good luck in October when you represent Georgia at Nationals.

Check out Procedure—Friday

Due to the volume of parents and guardians requesting to check out their student(s) on the Friday before a school break, we have put into place the following checkout procedures for Friday, March 29, 2018.

• Parents and guardians who are planning to check out their student Friday, March 29 must have a signed and dated note to the Attendance Office by 4:00 pm on Thursday, March 28.

• Students who submit a checkout note before 4:00 pm on Thursday should pick up their pass Friday morning before the bell rings. The student should show their pass to their teacher to leave at their checkout time, reducing disruption to the classroom. Students will need to sign out at the Attendance Office before leaving campus.

For students who did not submit a prior checkout note, please be aware that due to the volume of checkouts on Friday, March 29, the Attendance Office cannot accept telephone calls or emails to arrange for a checkout. Parents will need to come to the Attendance Office in person to check out their student.

3rd and Final Course Verification Forms Due Friday

Students received their third, and final, Course Verification Form yesterday. This is your last opportunity to confirm your requests for next year and ensure that you have selected a total of six credits. If this form is correct, there is no need to return the form. Changes to the form will need to be made by March 29, 2019. Forms should be returned to the front office.

Online Course Registration

Registration for online classes for the summer session, and next fall is now open. Requests for online courses for the next school year must be noted on your course verification form by the course registration deadline, May 23, 2019. Registration for all courses (summer 2019 or fall 2019) must be made through either Fulton Virtual or Georgia Virtual. Course registration will be reviewed and approved by your counselor. Note, the FVS or GAVS course listed on your course verification form does not indicate you are registered or approved for the course. Dual Enrollment Deadline—March 29, 2019

All students who wish to participate in dual enrollment classes next year must have applied to the college and submitted their signed Student Participation Form and Fulton County Contract no later than Friday, March 29, 2019. Any forms received after this date, will not be accepted. Please contact Mrs. Wilson, Dual Enrollment Liaison at wilsonrm1@fultonschools.org or your counselor with any questions.

Book Drive

The National English Honor Society is collecting books for the Salvation Army. Every English teacher is collecting them and the period which collects the most books will receive a donut party.

All 9th and 10th grade students are required to complete the Bridge Bill Activity. These activities are due immediately. FFA Alumni/Booster Scholarship

To qualify for an FFA Alumni/ Booster Scholarship, you must be a Cambridge High School Senior, an active member of CHS FFA, a Pathway Completer, earned a Chapter Degree, and pursuing a college degree (any institute of higher education).

2019 Cambridge Athletic Association Scholarships

The Cambridge Athletic Association ("CAA") is pleased to announce its 3rd Annual College Scholarship program for the Class of 2019. This year the CAA will again offer two $1,000 scholarships (one male and one female). These scholarships are made possible by the generous contributions of CAA Members and Sponsors and are designed to recognize outstanding CHS senior student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional achievement and character on the playing field, in the classroom and in the school and/or community. The scholarship winners will be recognized at Honors Night on April 22, 2019. For more information.
