WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL?

65% of B2B companies have acquired a customer through LinkedIn

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

THINK BIGSocial buying correlates with buying influence. The average B2B buyer who uses social media for buying support is:

• More senior

• Has a bigger budget

• Makes more frequent purchases

• Has a greater span of buying control than a buyer who does not use social media.

TURNING CONNECTIONS INTO CLIENTS

USE LINKEDIN TO GENERATE LEADS

CUSTOMIZE YOUR PUBLIC PROFILE URL

• Make your personal profile look more professional (and much easier to share) by customizing your LinkedIn public profile URL.

• Instead of a URL with a million confusing numbers at the end, it will look nice and clean like this: http://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahlouisewilson.

• Customize your URL by going linkedin.com/profile/public-profile-settings

ADD A BACKGROUND PHOTO

To add a background photo

to your profile, click Profile

>> Edit Profile in LinkedIn's

top navigation, then click

Add a background photo at

the top of your page.

LinkedIn specifies that your

photo must be a JPG, PNG,

or GIF file under 8MG in

size and should have a

resolution of 1400 x 425

pixels for the best look.

ADD KEYWORDS TO YOUR PROFILE

Before editing your profile, it will help you if you have a list of targeted keyword phrases in mind that you want to come up in search. These are the actual words and phrases that you think prospects and potential connections might actually type into a search.

USE A CURRENT, PROFESSIONAL IMAGE

• Be aware of your surroundings

• Use natural light

• Use the right camera

• Think about the angle

• Think about what you’re wearing

• Don’t do a cliché selfie
