GENERAL MEETING MINUTES
09/08/2016
CALL TO ORDER: LT. JAMES LONG
TIME: 7:00 PM
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: BILL
JEZEK, PRESIDENT, KATHI
MULKERIN, VICE-PRESIDENT,
GENA REESE, SECRETARY,
DIRECTORS STACY MILLIGAN,
CHUCK HAINES, PHIL KABAKOFF,
ELAINE NOE, AND SERGEANT AT
ARMS, LT. JAMES LONG, AND
OFFICER TIM HAYDEN.
Pledge of allegiance to the flag of USA was
performed. Eighteen members were in
attendance. A moment of silence was
observed for fallen police officers and our
military.
Chuck Haines introduced De'Onna Garner,
Arlington Parks Planning Manager.
Arlington currently has 90 parks. This was
a very informative and exciting presentation
of the Parks and Recreation master plan for
improvements, renovations, and
developments for the city of Arlington.
Q&A followed.
Bill Jezek, President, started the general
meeting at 7:35 PM.
Canine officer Vince Ramsour thanked us for
the donation for the canine trading cards.
He reported they are in process of looking
over available dogs. There are
commemorative coins in memory of Mojo
and are available for $15.00.
Bryan Sudan, Commander of Texas Regional
Auto Crimes Task Force, spoke to inform us
there were 4500 auto crimes/year in Tarrant
County and 80% recovered. The force
covers 7 counties. They are requesting
volunteers to attend community events and
shows to pass out literature. If anyone is
interested, please call 817-560-6560.
Bill announced Art Dennis will chair the
nomination committee for 2017 ACPAAA
Board members.
The APD requested funding for purchase of
4 tents for community events at cost of
$2704.76. Dottie Johnson moved to approve
the funding for the tents, seconded by Tom
Mulkerin, and motion passed.
Kathi Mulkerin, Vice-President, reiterated
that volunteers are needed for the 2017
Board.
Tom Mulkerin, CPAANT Representative,
reported the next meeting to be in Carrolton
Municipal Court Building, 9/10/2016, at
10:00 AM. Web site for information is
www.cpaant.org.
Gena Reese, Secretary - August general
meeting minutes were in the Newslink.
Kathi Mulkerin moved to approve the
minutes, seconded by Stacy Milligan, and
motion passed.
Paul Goodman, Treasurer - treasury report
provided.
Stacy Milligan, Director of Events, had
nothing to report but reminded those that
volunteered to provide desserts for the new
CPA class to bring desserts by 6:00 PM,
9/12/2016.
Chuck Haines, Director of Programs,
reported that the October meeting will be the
Auction and we will not have a speaker.
Phil Kabakoff, Director of PR & Marketing,
reported the Newslink went out and in new
format.

Elaine Noe, Director of Membership,
Presented a t-shirt for viewing and
announced they are available for
ordering at $10.00 each.
The auction was explained and will
be the October general meeting and
will be a dessert pot-luck.
The Christmas party will be in
December and she requested
members to volunteer to help.
Elaine reinforced that the Care
Committee is available for members
in need.
Thanks to Roberta Nugent for
designing and providing thank you
notes to be used when needed.
Kathi Mulkerin, Vice-President, announced
that Suzanne Winter will be heading the
Butter Braids fund raiser. Order sheets were
provided and will be turned at October
general meeting. Payment is required when
ordered and product will be delivered at the
November meeting.
Lt. James Long, Sergeant at Arms, had
nothing to report.
Officer Tim Hayden reported that the next
CPA class starts 9/12/2016 and graduation is
scheduled for 12/15/2016.
The September 2016 ACPAAA meeting was
adjourned at 8:15 PM. Kathi Mulkerin
moved to close the meeting, seconded by
Jim Colley, and motion passed.
