Punctuality is a form of employee loyalty. It shows respect for your supervisors and for the mission of your company.

Employees should plan to arrive fieen min-utes before the start of the workday to be in place when their client/job responsibilies begin.

Employees should plan to arrive ten or fieen Employees should plan to arrive ten or fieen minutes before their supervisor to show inia-ve. An early arriving employee is viewed as a self-starter, who possesses a strong work ethic and can independently manage his/her work responsibilies.

Being punctual builds a trust relaonship beBeing punctual builds a trust relaonship be-tween you and your supervisor and you and your coworkers. They know they can rely on you to be in place when they need you and you will be in place for them. Time manage-ment is the key to punctuality. Schedule ahead of me to complete tasks and don’t procrasnate, leaving final work or life tasks procrasnate, leaving final work or life tasks to the last minute. Complete as many of your before-work preparaons the evening before, rather than the morning of work, in order to be out the door at home and on me for work. Watch for traffic reports and weather alerts to gauge your travel me. Have a strong life plan to avoid emergencies and last minute crises (service your car regularly, have a list of last minutes baby-siers for sick children, keep spare keys to use when keys are misplaced, etc).

Supervisors weary of employees who are con-stantly late, but have a ‘really good excuse’. Late to work, with or without a great excuse, is sll late and loses producvity for the com-pany. Eventually repeat offenders, even with a great repertoire of excuses, will be viewed as a liability and terminated. It is your job to make your employer’s workday beer, not make your employer’s workday beer, not more difficult.

Tardiness increases the workload for every-one. If you are late, someone is picking up your workload unl you arrive. Your arriving late throws other employees off their sched-ule and increases their work stress. Others begin planning around your bad habit and the efficiency of the company is compromised. As an established employee you are se ng the standard for new employees. Set a good example for new emp- loyees by being on me.

Being on me builds office harmony. If no one is late, no one is inconvenienced. No one feels they have follow the rules and be on me, while you don’t.

All Work, Not in Eurolink!

So much has changed this year, the office, partners, projects, employees, and whatnot. All for the beer, that is.

But no mBut no maer how beauful they are, they will never bear fortune by themselves. Just like any organizaon, Eurolink’s growth banks so much on human potenal. Not saying this organizaon will go in disarray if let alone but sure we don’t want to see lost souls wan-dering and wondering about the company’s didirecon.

So on June 18 and 19, weekend, we had everyone go to work, dra proposals, improve so skills, scribble some notes, review the company’s values, and ulmately do a painstaking task of -- having fun!

Yes! The Eurolink Mid-year Business Planning Workshop and Teambuilding at 9 Waves Ciudad Christhia Resort, San Mateo Rizal was indeed a work weekend to remember.

An esAn escape from the daily hustle and bustle of the metro, the Eurolink group took a splash in faux wave pool, drowned in alcohol, and dived in to the ahmmm... small servings of mediocre menus.

But whBut what was lack in the belly was the oppo-site for the brain. The weekend affair was filled with fun acvies and valuable infor-maon that fed the minds of the parci-pants.

Kicking off the workshop and teambuilding proper, our beloved President/CEO opened the event by giving his words of encourage-ment and sharing his vision for everyone and for the company.

Soon aer, Mr. Junn Palmero prepared games that aim to develop teamwork and camaraderie among employees. The Human Bingo features names instead of numbers that allows everyone to know their comrades by approaching the person being called and affixing his signature on the bingo card.

The name calling was followed by more interacve acvies. There was the shoe relay, message relay, and sound games.

Then aer the games came the serious maers -- the workshop. The short training was divided into three groups: Business Development, Soware Development, and Customer Care.

FFor the Business Development, facilitated by Ms. Arnela Jarlego-Cadorna, their session involved the calibraon of workflow process and finalizaon of workplan for 2011 - 2011.

The workshop for the IT personnel involved their own version of workflow analysis headed by Mr. Eldon Tenorio.

And the smallest group of Corporate Communicaon, Administraon, and Customer Care/Tech Sup-port talked about improving customer service and phone equee handled by Mr. Juvien Galano.

But it of course, this vacaon is not without beers and videoke. Soon as the night bites and with the help of alcohol, the belters scream their lungs to the tune of their ffavorite songs. Some took the oldies and clas-sic like Basil Valdez and Lionel Ritchie while others dared on boy band hits from A1 and Backstreet Boys, there was also Renz Verano just so you know.

All in all, as our dear Execuve Vice President, Mr. Jay Bausta put it, it was a successful event; quong “it is beer than last year.”

The primary objecve of create a synchroni-city among emplcity among employees and with every depart-ments. As an organizaon, harmony among members is crucial in achieving the group’s maximum potenal.

So end result is? Just look at the pictures for answers!

Last month, we got our hands to four great talents for the Business Development and Project Management group. This month, the head hunt paid off for the So-ware Development and Network and System Administra-on group.
