Students will explain and show their work of art evidencing and recognizing the influence of North American television on South American Soap Operas. Take into account the different visual elements that become stereotypes in soap operas.

CREATION LAB

Students design in pairs, a soap opera TV screenshot (made up by them). The screenshot must be finished with markers on card board. In their work, they show what they learned in class about stereotypes in TV, composition, and dramatic poses, merging plains, and close-ups. The story drama and characters must be evident and understandable in the screen shot.

CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

Students will experience showing their project to the class AS “PRODUCERS/ PUBLICISTS” of the TV channel. They will show respect for other artists’ art work and presentations.Students will set up and participate actively in their exhibition, in an orderly and well behaved manner.
