Linear Algebra
Organized into 12 Instructional Focus Units
In Linear Algebra, instructional time focuses on three critical areas:
(1)developing understanding of operations with rational numbers, formulating and reasoning about expressions and equations, including modeling an association in bivariate data with a linear equation, and solving linear equations and systems of linear equations(2) (2) grasping the concept of a function and using functions to describe quantitative relationships(3)(3) analyzing two- and three-dimensional space and figures using distance, angle, similarity, and congruence, and understanding and applying the Pythagorean theorem
Focus #1: Introducing TransformationsThis unit provides an introduction to transformations as students explore the three congruence transformations: rotations, reflections, and translations.

Grade Level Expectations
• Grade book will be descriptive so parents will understand what their students are working on
• 90/10 Grading
• Students are marked tardy if they are not in the door when the bell rings
• Students will receive nine bathroom passes per quarter – to be used at the discretion of the teacher.
• Weekly bulletin will be sent out on Friday’s by team leader
• Tax credit donations will support all of 7th grade (not individual teams)

• 10% practice work• 90% assessments• Grading scale• 90 - 100% = A
80 - 89% = B70 - 79% = C60 - 69% = D50 - 59% = F
