    TWIN CREEKS COMMUNITY COMMITTEES

In order for the Twin Creeks Home Owners Association to provide the best service to our community, several committees have been established to allow the participation of residents to help build the best neighborhood possible. Listed below are the five core committees necessary to achieve this goal.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH COMMITTEE The Neighborhood Watch Committee works with the local

law enforcement office to establish and maintain a neighborhood watch group to help keep the community safe and secure. This committee depends upon neighbors to become involved by looking out for one another and by knowing what course of action to take if there should be a problem. Volunteers from every neighborhood within our community are needed. Contact Terra Tisdale at ttisdale61@gmail.com or Anne Wilson at annecw1@aol.com to volunteer.

COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE The Communication Committee helps organize articles for

the newsletter and other neighborhood communications, and assists in the establishment of a neighborhood website, news group and email distribution list.

MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE The Maintenance Committee monitors the general condition

of the neighborhood and helps identify areas in need of repair or improvement, such as the irrigation system, streetlights, or other common property.

SOCIAL & RECREATION COMMITTEE The Social & Recreation Committee helps plan neighborhood

events, such as biannual garage sales, holiday parties, and National Night Out, as well as combined events with Twin Creeks Country Club.

YARD OF THE MONTH COMMITTEE The Yard of the Month Committee judges our yards and

then selects a different yard each month that exemplifies the orderly and well-maintained look we expect to find in our neighborhood.

Participation in our Home Owners Association is necessary for Twin Creeks to maintain its unique qualities as a country club community and to ensure a safe, beautifully maintained residential neighborhood for our families.

To volunteer for any of the Twin Creeks committees, please contact Kathy Taylor, Property Manager at Goodwin Management, at 512-852-7998 or kathy.taylor@goodwintx.com.

TC TWIN CREEKS COMMUNITY, INC LANDSCAPING IMPROVEMENTS

Over the next couple of months you will see a lot of landscape work going on along Twin Creeks Country Club Drive. This is part of a major landscape improvement project that was approved at the last HOA board meeting, in May. The first phase of this project will primarily occur between the entrance at Anderson Mill Road and the first traffic circle, along with some Park improvements.

The project includes a wide variety of native and drought tolerant plantings, and hardscape installations, in an effort to reduce our water usage from Lake Travis. The median irrigation system will be renovated by changing out the rotors heads, and replacing them with popup sprays to minimize the amount of overspray on to the street and direct more water to the plantings, allowing those irrigation zones to be set for fewer minute run times.

In the Park, new mulch has been added to the playscape. The limestone border, along the walking trails, is being extended to include all of the trails in an effort to divert water away from the trails and hopefully minimize the amount of washout during heavy rains. Additional compacted decomposed granite is being added to refurbish the washouts from previous rains.

A new layer of native mulch has been added to the drip line of the large live oaks adjacent to entrance and along Anderson Mill Road. The addition of this mulch layer will help maintain moisture for these majestic trees, as the hotter summer months approach.

Subsequent phases of this work include entrances to the various sections along Twin Creeks Country Club Drive and the first traffic circle of the Reserve, near the Country Club grounds. Your board of directorsis working hard to maintain the appearance of our Premier Community, while trying to comply with the water restrictions imposed by the LCRA.

Please be aware of workers along the boulevard and be cautious as you are entering and exiting the Community. We appreciate your patience while this work is going on.

    Sincerely,TC Twin Creeks
