Other trying to escape the strait jackets by corroding them

with their teeth.

A patient taking a shit in the Snooker Table. The otherplaying the pool like it was normal.

FOUR Nurses running after a patient with a womans wig.

Mouths of patients swallowing pills.

Same mouths spiting the pills.

A patient eating that pills all over the floor.

That patient seeing strange lights and dancing in a DISCOPARTY.

Patients fighting in the CAFETERIA.

TWO patients licking a Beautiful Nurses hair. The nurseacting like if is normal. Looks at a mirror. Shes happy.

A patient in the roof of the Psychiatric hospital leaninghis hear to an Antenna, trying to hear something.

On the FLOOR, a patient sedated. Other playing cards on topof him.

A man, DR GOERING, nodding his head watching the scene.Makes notes on his notebook.

Takes a pill.

DR. GOERING, a strong man, arround 30, with grey hair and abeard walks in circles in the corridor. He appears to benervous.

Terry Carpenter...

opens the entrance door. He has a white sheet in his hand.

Dr. Goering watches it with curiosity.

DR GOERINGAnyone today?

TERRY CARPENTERYes. The hospital called minutesago.

DR GOERINGCan you give me the data?

TERRY CARPENTEROk. But please then return it in myoffice.

DR GOERINGOf course.

Carpenter handles Goering the sheet and leaves.

DR GOERING(Thinking out loud)

Donnovan, 34 Years Old. Divorced.White. Caucasian. Former Job:Gardner. One Kid. No previousmental episodes. Internship todayand arriving at 10.30. Cause ofinternship: Thinks he is a cellphone.

Goering thinks a little while. His forehead is wrinkled.

MARIA, a fat Nurse enters and gives her an archive.

MARIAWe got one more patient arrivingtoday. Olivier Donovan, 34 yearsold. Schizofrenia.

MARIASubject thinks hes a cell phone.

DR SUSAN YORKFor Christ sakes. Is he dangerous?

The nurse leaves the compartiment.

EXT. PARKING LOT, LYNDONBARRY MENTAL INSTITUTION - DAY

An ambulance arrives. Two PARAMEDICS open the lateral doorsof the vehicle.

INT. HALL, LYNDONBARRY MENTAL INSTITUTION - DAY

The paramedics carry Olivier Donovan in the stretcher. Lookscared at him.

Donovan VIBRATES AND RINGS again like a cell phone.Paramedics have a hard time to keep him straight in thestretcher.

Paramedics take Olivier Donovan with them.

Dr. Goering is in a corner of the hall. Looks at the scenewith curiosity. Scratches his chin.


The paramedics enter Susan Yorks gabinet.

Paramedic #2 gives him a nudge. The two paramedics leave.

Donovan, laid down in his stretcher, looks above... to theceiling. Seems intrigued. His eyes become empty. Vibratesagain. Then pretends to ring.

Susan York studies Donovans behavior, amuzed.

Donovan shuts up. His eyes gain life.

OLIVIER DONOVANYes... Hello?

DR. SUSAN YORKWho is on the line?

Olivier falls asleep, like he has been disconnected. Dr.Susan scratches her head, confused.

Dr. Goering is hidden behind the door watching everything.

INT. RECREATION ROOM, LYNDONBARRY MENTAL INSTITUTION - DAY

THOMAS, a young man in his early 20s is sitted on a chair.Watches television. Suddenly, puts his thumbs in his hearsand his pinkies in his eyes.

THOMAS(heroic)

I shall connect!

Maria walks next Thomas. Looks what he is doing withconfusion.

MARIA(Angry)

Thomas! What are you doing?

MARIAIm trying to connect my hears tomy eyes.

Kevin grabs Thomas through his hears. In another chair,JESSICA, a blonde skinny pale woman is outraged.

Next to Jessica theres CARLOS, a hyspanic man.

INT. HALL, LYNDONBARRY MENTAL INSTITUTION - DAY

Dr. Goering is talking to another Shrink. Its DOCTOR VANPOPPEL, a old doctor, almost bald.

DR. GOERINGI think we should isolate the newpatient from the others.

DR VAN POPPELI dont know nothing about him! Heis not our patient. Let Susanhandle it.

DR GOERINGYou dont understand... I think theother patients will agravate hisdelusion. Like the last patient wehad. We should implement a newpolicy here. Sending patients

DR GOERINGYou know she doesnt listen to meanymore.

Dr Van Poppel nods his head. Leaves Goering alone in thecorridor. He seems in a hurry.

MICHAEL, a small, but sturdy man, in the line of chairs

behind the one Carlos and Jessica are, looks at them with apaternalistic face.

MICHAEL(Paternalistic)

JESSICAHe is going to the Future.

MICHAEL(Trying to sound intelligent)

In the opposite door it comes OLIVIER DONOVAN. He is guidedby a male nurse, TOBIAS. Tobias stops listening to theconversation, amuzed.

Tobias looks at Olivier and smiles. Points to Michael,Jessica and Carlos.

MICHAELHow could he go to the future? Itsnot possible. All the scientistssay that!

JESSICAThe scientists... You are dumb likeall of them if you believe that!

Tobias starts walking again.

Carlos smiles gladly.

Donovan looks at Carlos frightned. Tries to avoid him. Dr.Goering goes next to Carlos. Stands him back.

Dr. Goering looks at Oliviers eyes.

Donovan begins sweating. Swallows hard. Then, all of asudden begins "Ringing" and Vibrating.

DR GOERINGJesus Christ. You are all hopeless!

Dr. Goering goes away with anger.

CARLOSAre you hearing guys: I am having acall!

Jessica goes next to Carlos and pushes him away fromDonovan.

JESSICA(jealous)

Tobias is amuzed listening to the conversation.

Dr. Goering is walking in circles, while waiting on the lineof the Cafeteria.

He gets sick of waiting and goes to a vending machine wherehe picks a coffee.

He seems with a headache. Takes a pill.


Maria holds Jessica. Jessica resists, but Maria manages togive her a injection.

MARIA(Revengeful)

This will make you calmer!

Michael tries to pull her in order to release Jessica.Cant. Hits Maria in the face. Maria falls in the ground.Michael grabs her needle and gives her an injection in herforehead.

Tobias smiles amuzed with the scene, but picks aintercomunicator from his pocket.

TOBIASKevin, we need your help here. And,if you can, bring Henry and Keane!

He hears the intecomunicator interference noise.

KEVIN (O.S)All right. Im on my way.

We hear a hysterical collective sound in theintecomunicator.

TOBIASWhat was that?!!


Kevin is holding his intercomunicator in the middle of acrowd of PATIENTS. The Patients all play with ROLLINGSTRETCHERS, like they are cars or Shopping Karts.

A SKATING PATIENT skates happily one of the Stretchers. Awoman sits in the back part of it. She is happy too.

KEVINDont worry. I have to solve someissues here. Just 1 minute.

TOBIAS (O.S)(Authoritarian)

I have an urgency.

KEVIN(Nervous)

I have too. Sorry. I have to hangup.

TOBIAS (O.S)(Curious)

What is it?

Kevin turns off the intercomunicator. Looks at the crowd ofpatients.

KEVINHey guys. Stop! Or Ill release thedinossaurs!

The Patients all look at each other with fear.

KEVIN(Nice)

We have cookies in the Cafeteria,though.

The patients all stop messing with the stretchers and goslowly to the end of the hall.

Kevin runs after the couple surfing the Rolling Stretcher.

KEVINHey... Havent you heard what Isaid?

SKATING PATIENT(Surfing the stretcher,proudly)

Ill make a Heelflip!

KEVIN

Stop right there. The tournament isin the cafeteria! All the Judgesare waiting for you.

The skating Patient slows. Looks with awe at Kevin.

SKATING PATIENTAre you being serious this time?

KEVINAre you doubting me? Drop theStretcher. We have a new one in thewaiting. I want you to win that

tournament. Do it for yourgirlfriend!

The girl sitted in the back of the stretcher smiles at theskating patient.

SKATING PATIENT(happy)

All right, Mr. Kevin. Were going.

The Skating patient leaves the stretcher and runs to the endof the oposite door of the hall. Opens it and leaves.

Kevin takes a deep anxious Breath. Turns on hisintercomunicator and changes the frequency.

KEVINAngelina: Several patients aregoing to the cafeteria. When theyget there, leave the room and lockit with your key.

Kevin is holding Michael against the wall. Dr. York giveshim an injection.

DR SUSAN YORK

Take it easy Michael... Stay calm,or this will be worst.

Michael tries to get away, but Kevin is stronger holdinghim. He is sweating and breathing heavily.

DR SUSAN YORKYoull be sleeping in seconds...

Maria is trying to alliviate the pain in her forehead withher hand. She is bleeding a little bit.

MICHAEL

(Anxious)I dont like to sleep... Dont dothat. I dont like to...

Michael faints. Kevin sits him in a chair next to Jessicasand Carloss sedated bodies.

DR SUSAN YORK(To Kevin)

Call Angelina so she can help youcarrying them to their rooms!

KEVINYou dont need to call her. Shemust be arriving soon. We haveabout 15 patients locked in theCafeteria.

They were going crazy with thestretchers... Trying to skate them,again.

Dr. Goering spies everyone in a corner of the RecreationRoom, intrigued, but stares with particular interest atOlivier Donovan.

DR. SUSAN YORKWatch out with what you do.

Susan turns his back to Goering. Goering talks to Olivierwith great respect. The others in the room cant hear them,because theyre in opposite corner.

DR GOERINGThats a really nice ringtone.Where did you get it?

OLIVIER DONOVAN(Proud)

Dr Goering gets closer to Olivier Donovan. Presses hisstomach.

Olivier Donovan makes the sound of cell phone menu.

OLIVIER DONOVANI know. But I dont know how to usethem yet.

DR GOERINGI see. Neither do I. Im watchingthe call settings now. You know how

to do this? The menu moves reallyquickly.

OLIVIER DONOVANI dont know how to go to the menu.I have the cell phone for a week,or so.

DR GOERINGIm going to turn off the ring andthe vibrating mode. Its that ok?

OLIVIER DONOVAN

DR GOERINGI need to talk to you about athing. Its a secret. We need totalsilence. Can you come with me?

The other medical staff are talking to each other. Theydont notice them leaving.

Dr. Goering continues pressing Oliviers stomach.

He is backwards to Olivier Donovan. Takes a pill in hispocket and crumbles it into the water.

Turns again to Olivier.

One of them, a TALL PATIENT, is dancing.

DAYDREAM SEQUENCE - DISCO NIGHT - 70S

We see a mirror ball in the ceiling shining lights fromprojectors and hear a DISCO MUSIC.

The Tall Patient is dancing in a strange way, right in themiddle of a dance floor. It is filled with young people ofthe 70s.

The Tall Patient has a spot light over him, like he wasimportant.

In the background we can hear people knocking loudly theCafeteria door


Goering stares at Olivier Donovan and pretends to to turnoff the silent mode of Oliviers "Cell phone".

DR. GOERINGAre you feeling better?

OLIVIER DONOVANYes.

All the nurses carry the Knockdowned Patients in Stretchersand Wheelchairs.

Dr. Susan York looks at it with sadness.

LIEUTENANT WHITE, a strong, tall man is next to her. Hebreaths deeply.

DR. SUSAN YORKIt was a great job...

LIEUTENANT WHITEThank you.

There a strange silent between the two.

LIEUTENANT WHITEAnyway, you should be careful. Itseems this place sometimes can bemore dangerous than a prison.

The police officer search Frank Goering pockets.

The cops grab Olivier and Dr. Goering. They remove Olivierand Goering from the room.

Susan is completely desperate. She sits in her desk. Herbody is heavy. Her eyes are empty. She is really angry.

DR SUSAN YORKCan you leave me alone withAngelina, please?

Lieutenant leaves the room.

DR SUSAN YORKYou were right. We shouldnt lethim wear that coat. Schedule ameeting. We need to talk aboutthis.

Angelina seems sad. Lows her head. Goes away.
