September 8, 2014 Jacquelene Sharp Massey President, National Silhouettes c/o Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. International Headquarters 2322-24 North Broad Street Philadelphia, PA 19132 Dear President Massey: One of the greatest challenges we have as international membership organizations is to ensure that our members stay as current as possible with information that affects our constituencies throughout the globe. In a swiftly moving technological era we all have gravitated to cyberspace, with heavy emphasis on social media as well as on-line newsletters providing easy access to our members and the general public that look to us for information regarding our community outreach initiatives. It’s exciting news to know that The National Silhouettes have launched an on-line newsletter to promote the community services performed around the provinces. Nothing is more important to Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity than the work that our Silhouettes do in support of our fraternity, as well as what they do in their own right to make a difference in the communities we serve. We’re sure that this new medium will prove significant to the Silhouettes everywhere. The members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity look forward to a great turnout at our 82nd Grand Chapter Meeting in New Orleans in August 2015. We know that our wonderful ladies will once again join us as we continue our journey in our second century, and we hope that we will continue to make you proud. May God bless you and all Silhouettes as you prepare for your festivities in New Orleans, and may this new communication initiative inspire each of you to raise the bar in years to come.

Sincerely, William “Randy”Bates, Jr., Esq. Grand Polemarch

“Hats Off” to Silhouettes in the Northeastern, Southwestern and the Southeastern Provinces. The gracious hospitality provided began at the Airport and continued throughout my visits; and finally, I had to say so long for now, and return to the Airport for the trip back to Baltimore. The Eastern Province – (National President Province) was my final stop. My Sister Silhouettes, I was humbled by your red carpet welcome and hospitality. Silhouettes, it is an honor to serve as your National President, and I “Thank You” for your role in making the FIRST visit to Provinces unforgettable. I look forward to attending the South Central, Northern, Western and Eastern Province Council meetings in 2015. I must also extend appreciation to the Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. Foundation for their investment of support.

Thank you for making the attendance by the National Silhouettes President at Province Council meetings a reality. This initiative is a historical step and a joy for me to have the opportunity to come for a visit with Silhouettes in their Provinces. Silhouette Jean Smith, (Outgoing Northeastern Province Coordinator); Silhouette Staci Banks Robbins, Southwestern Province Coordinator; Silhouette Janice H. Dean, Southeastern Province Coordinator; Silhouette Shirley T. Pinckney, Eastern Province Coordinator and All Provincial Officers, Province Planning Chapters, and Silhouettes…”Life is not measured by the Breaths you take, but by the moments that take your Breath away.” Sharing information, listening to your ideas and recommendations, and just being together as Silhouettes was a wonderful opportunity. An organization is as strong and successful as the commitment and dedication of its membership. It takes a village, a team, to get the job done. Nothing is a solo jump. In our daily lives, there are those individuals who take an initiative to the next level, or help to turn dreams into reality, and those who are generous with their expertise and skills, and finally, there are individuals who simply make a difference. Silhouettes, it is a pleasure to APPLAUD the support, expertise, time and talents of individuals and groups whose investment of service and support has made a difference in moving forward the vision and mission of the National Silhouettes during this transitional year as the National Silhouettes President. Be The Woman God Has Called You To Be

Proverbs 31:10 says the price of a virtuous woman is far above rubies. The virtuous woman is rare, precious, and esteemed above treasured jewels. She does not live her life based on standards set by society. She is a woman, who understands her worth according to God's Word. The Proverbs 31 woman is a guide for all women. She does not describe a virtuous woman by her physical appearance. The proverb woman lived her life and became a woman who was celebrated. She was a woman of elegance and extraordinary intelligence because she honored God. She was businesswomen who owned property, produced products, sold goods and cared for her family; she is a modern woman of today. As women of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. Silhouettes, the wives of Kappa men, the Proverbs woman shines. Being a woman in our current society may seem hard. TV shows, magazines, and movies attempt to convince women that they should measure themselves according to the standards of the world; which says you have to be a certain size, height, skin tone, and have a certain type of hairstyle and wardrobe to be considered beautiful. However, doing so limits the beauty of a woman. You do not have to consult any ladies’ luncheon or group to prove who you are. This is where you draw the line by refusing to conform to society's image of beauty and renew your mind with the Word of God. You are a Proverbs woman; you are free to be everything God has gifted you to be. Do not allow the world to define you; do not conform to the image the world has set for you. Be all that God has called you to be. You can be the woman you have always wanted to be when you begin to see yourself as God sees you. Make a decision in your life today to define your standards of beauty by God’s standards found in His written Word. We are Blessed woman not cursed, and we can walk as blessed women of God.

Greetings from East Central Province, It’s been a very eventful year. As the newly elected East Central Province Coordinator, I’ve been in the process of learning the ins and outs of what it means to lead this province. After a few bumps and bruises, I am confident that the upcoming year will be a very successful one, while continuing to support our Kappa men. As we approach Province Meeting as well as Conclave in 2015, it is my hope that this province will both flourish and grow like I know we are capable of doing. As always, I thank you in advance for your continued support. Silhouette Zaviera R. Evans East Central Province Coordinator

On Saturday, November 16, 2013, the Baltimore (MD) Silhouettes hosted the Annual Scholarship Jazz Bruch at the Forum Caterers in Baltimore. We enjoyed the company of approximately 245 guests. The day began with members of the Baltimore (MD) Silhouettes putting the finishing touches on the tables for our guests. We made sure tables were numbered, programs were in seats, the favor of a chocolate bar was at each person’s seat and the items for the silent auction were put in place. The auction selection included an Italian made designer men’s suit, a butter soft leather coat, multiple gift baskets, signed sports memorabilia, a golf outing, hotel stay and many other items. The program, opened with welcome and acknowledgements from our President

Freddi Vaughn. Audrey Bennett, Vice President/Brunch Chair, introduced the 2013 Rising Star Award honoree, Cynthia Brooks. Cynthia Brooks, the daughter of the late Beatrice “Bea” Gaddy, founder of the Bea Gaddy Family Center, has presided over the charity since 2001. Under her leadership the center has maintained and grown to include the annual Thanksgiving dinner for over 10,000; annual Christmas Party for over 350 youth; a homeless shelter for women and children and food pantry; a mentoring program for youth ages 11-17. Silhouette Carolyn Tutman, Chaplain, gave the invocation. Following the invocation, we enjoyed a delicious buffet meal. Following announcements, by our Historian, Carol Rogers, and closing remarks by the Treasurer/Brunch Co-Chair, Silhouette Elaine Harris, we announced the raffle winner and the door prize winners. While our guests shopped at the vendors and placed bids on the silent auction items, they also enjoyed dancing to music by Kendall Leonard. We had the privilege of having remarks from our National President, Silhouette Jacquelene Massey and recognized Silhouette Alison Riddle-Fletcher, recently elected President of the National Dental Association.

On September 21, 2013, the Baltimore (MD) Chapter Silhouettes hosted a reception for the newly installed National Silhouette President, Jacquelene Sharp Massey at the new Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. Youth & Community Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Surrounded by her spouse, Kappa James Massey, daughter and other family and dear friends, guests enjoyed delicious food and great fellowship. Attendees included the Eastern Province Polemarch Howard Tutman III, Baltimore Alumnae Chapter President Kirk Hemphill, Silhouette Joan Crutchfield (National Executive Assistant), local Silhouette Chapter Presidents and Silhouettes from near and far. National Silhouettes President, Jacquelene Sharp Massey was presented with good wishes, words of encouragement and a bouquet of beautiful flowers.

November 3, 2013, the Bowie/Mitchellville (MD) Silhouettes celebrated 10 years of support to our community, to the Kappa Silhouettes Auxiliary and the Bowie/Mitchellville (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. From our inception, the Chapter has increased membership and our commitment to the community.

Our community commitment includes the support of two (2) homeless shelters in Prince George County. One shelter supporting women and children, receives bed linen, bath towels and toiletries twice a year. Also on the same schedule is a Church where homeless and/or hungry county residents can receive meals. The Church receives paper products and serving utensils to aid in their effort to feed those less fortunate. The Chapter also encourages students at a local elementary school to improve in their academic learning and attendance. Two students selected by the School Counselor received $100 for obtaining the title of Most Improved during the school graduation ceremony. Silhouettes from the chapter attend the ceremony to present a Certificate of Achievement and the cash award to the students. We also donate clothes (Tuxedos, shirts, cuff links, shoes, ties, dresses, underwear and purses) so that less fortunate high school seniors might attend the school prom. We remember the less fortunate during the holidays with food baskets for families and toys and clothing for children. Silhouettes purchased candles from the Kappa Leaguers (fundraiser); we provide assistance as requested for the Annual Family & Friends Picnic; we provide toys for the Toys for Tots campaign; and we make a bi-annual donation to the Chapter’s Guide Right Program. Every other month, the Silhouettes Chapter will host a social event. Members meet for dinner; attend wine and drawing classes, host member vendors, have jewelry/purse/spa parties and bi-annually host a trip to NY to see a popular play on Broadway. Bowie/Mitchellville (MD) Silhouettes are united for strength - committed for success!

Mother/Daughter Tea Absolutely Lovely!

I would like to thank my amazing Tea Committee composed of Silhouette Sabrina Davis, Silhouette Rachel Myers, and Silhouette Linda Tyrance-Strickland. We were supported by several other members of the chapter who pitched in, as well as friends who lent a hand. Special thanks to Mrs. Thommie Yearwood, and the Thurgood Marshall Heritage Center for opening their doors to our chapter. Thanks to our President Cheryl Teare for trusting the committee to put this event together. The Afternoon Tea was absolutely lovely! We had approximately 60 members, family, and friends in attendance, and we took our 2013-2014 chapter photo. The room was beautifully decorated. The ladies were beautiful in their afternoon tea attire and sophisticated hats. The mood was warm and cheerful, the food was tasty and the games were fun! I wholeheartedly and sincerely thank you for the sharing of fun, daughters, friends and each other. We look forward to everyone joining us again next year. The Silhouettes of the East St. Louis Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. have had an activity-filled program year to date. We began the winter holiday season by putting together and donating four fully-stocked Thanksgiving baskets -- three to specially-chosen families-in-need and one to Opal’s House, a local emergency shelter assisting abused women and their children fleeing domestic violent situations. The three families were each identified and selected by a Silhouette in the Chapter with first-hand knowledge of the need in the family. Each Thanksgiving basket included a full array of dry and canned non-perishable food products, as well as a $25 Wal-Mart gift certificate which could be used to purchase a turkey, ham or other perishable items needed to complete the Thanksgiving meal. The appreciation of those receiving the baskets was manifest in the joyous “Thank You” expressed to the Chapter. The East St. Louis Silhouettes celebrated the Christmas holiday in early December with a festive luncheon at Josephine’s Tea Room in Godfrey, IL. Following a delicious lunch in one of the restaurant’s beautifully holiday-decorated dining rooms, Chapter members browsed through the Tea Room shops featuring unique home décor, gifts, floral and accessories. The Silhouettes purchased items not only for themselves, but Christmas presents for family and friends as well. This social get-together was the perfect opportunity to enjoy each other’s sisterhood, fellowship and friendship in a beautiful setting away from the usual hustle and bustle of the holiday season. The Silhouettes began the New Year by pledging support to our Kappa’s’ participation in the “40 Days of Non-violence” program in East St. Louis. “40 Days of Non-Violence” is a faith-based, community-driven initiative aimed at deterring and ultimately eliminating violence in the community through education, awareness and job creation. As one of the leading partners in the initiative, the East St. Louis Kappa’s are coordinating and implementing a number of diverse programs offered to students each Saturday from January 25 through March 14, 2014. The kick-off event included a workshop on ending violence featuring guest speaker Tracy Martin, father of slain Florida teen Trayvon Martin. A favorite activity has been the weekly tennis lessons and demonstrations provided by the United States Tennis Association. The Tennis Association will be providing new tennis rackets to participating students who complete the 6-week program, and it has also committed to refurbishing long-neglected tennis courts in East St. Louis. The Silhouettes have staffed the registration tables at the events sponsored by the Kappas weekly from 8:00 to noon each Saturday, and provided other support as needed by the Kappa’s in implementing the various youth activities. The East St. Louis Silhouettes have been joined in their supportive efforts each week by the Sorors of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

Indianapolis is on the move again! The ladies of the Indianapolis Chapter of the National Silhouettes of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. are rarely idle! While we have our normal business meetings to handle the minutia of our organization – we never lose sight of the real reason we exist: to develop and enrich our relationships as the wives and widows of our Kappa Men! So we eat, dance and be merry on a regular basis! Our current dancing is focused on learning the latest line dances and we had a class following our June meeting and have another scheduled for September (after our two month hiatus). By the time we get to “The Big Easy” in 2015 – we should have our steps down and our groove firmly in place! See you on the dance floor! Ask someone about his or her favorite food when the temperatures drop and the flurries threaten to fly, and chances are good that a lot of them are going to say soup. When you're chilled to the bone (and if you live in a snowy climate, you know what that phrase means), there's nothing like a bowl of hot soup to warm the body and spirit. A pot of soup or stew simmering on top of the stove brings steamy warmth to the kitchen, disperses delicious aromas throughout the house, and provides a splash of color to a season that can often get a little dreary. Many of us include soups in our weekly menus, with

recipes reflecting personal tastes and preferences, nutritional values, and even family culture and heritage. We all have our favorites, but when it comes to these stovetop concoctions, there's great advice to be followed in the classic children's French folktale, "Stone Soup." In this story, a hungry traveler tells a village of peasants (who have related that there is nothing to eat) that he will make a delicious soup from nothing but stones and share it with them. Water is added to a kettle with a stone, and then, one by one, the villagers make seemingly insignificant contributions — a carrot, a little meat, and other ingredients — in response to the traveler's comments that the items will make this Stone Soup the best ever. In the end, of course, they all share a delicious pot of soup. There are two great lessons about cooking soup to take from this story: one, that when it comes to soup-making, anything goes—and two, soup always seems to taste better when enjoyed with others. There's a soup for every occasion and every taste. Whether it's a light consommé served as the first course of a special meal, or a hearty stew in the midst of a snowstorm, soup fits the bill. And when you make your own soup you can customize—chunky or smooth, spicy or mild, light on onions, heavy on garlic, hot or cold, and, of course, seasoned to perfection. Soups offer a tasty meal packed with nutrition for all members of the family. For the younger set, vegetables are often more palatable in soup or stew than when served by themselves on a dinner plate. Soups are also easy to concoct for special diets, such as vegetarians or vegans, or those watching their salt intake. Decreasing—or even eliminating — salt is easy with the help of herbs and spices. Soup's wealth of nutrition and flavor comes without a lot of expense, too. A beef roast that would typically feed the family for one or two meals can be stretched to provide several meals when used as an ingredient in soup. The grains, beans, pasta and vegetables in your soup recipes are relatively inexpensive ingredients that help you create healthy meals, even on a tight budget. Be sure to make more than you'll need, while you're at it, and freeze the rest for a quick meal at a later date.

67th Northern Province Council Meeting

A great time was had by over 60 attendees at the 67th Northern Province Council Meeting. It was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The Ann Arbor Silhouettes Chapter hosted this meeting. They truly rolled out the red carpet.

The theme of the luncheon was “The Red Shoe” Luncheon. It featured the hilarious comedian Crystal P. and the food was delicious. The Ann Arbor Silhouettes made sure everyone was well taken care of. In addition, the Saginaw Silhouettes Chapter took home the traveling plaque for the second time in a row. They had the most Silhouettes to register for this province meeting based on percentage. From the souvenir gift to the

hospitality suite, everything was excellent. Kudos to the Ann Arbor (MI) Chapter.

This year the Detroit Silhouettes Chapter celebrated their 86th year at our annual Founders Day Luncheon chaired by Silhouette Tanya Cleveland, who planned a beautiful event, followed by a musical performance. We held a Bingo Party for the residents of Brush Park Manor Paradise Valley, where we offer light refreshments, monetary prizes and the Silhouettes provide gifts for all those in attendance.

The Saginaw Silhouettes are still holding sessions with the Guide Right Program on Manners and Etiquette. The most recent is providing information to the members on how to interact with young ladies in a social setting. Houghton Elementary School has been our adopted school for the past few years. We have donated hats, gloves and scarves to the students each year. For our Thanksgiving project we donated can goods to the City Rescue Mission and went on a tour of the facility.

Dr. Chantay Dillard, South Central Province Silhouettes Coordinator, and the South Central Province Silhouettes (SCP) salutes the efforts of our National President, Silhouette Jacqueline Massey, to “raise the bar” and incorporate technology to implement this inaugural issue of the National Silhouette of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Journal. This concept alone opens the door for other organizations to learn about who we are as we continue to establish our organization as an outstanding auxiliary of the greatest fraternity in the world, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The South Central Province Silhouettes consists of ten active chapters with over 130 financial Silhouettes. They thrive to function as “1 Silhouette” to impact the lives of individuals in the states of Kentucky, Northern Mississippi and Tennessee. The year, 2014, was a remarkable year for the South Central Province (SCP) Silhouettes. There were two “signature” projects of 2013 - 2014 Silhouette year. The first was the implementation of the “SCP Silhouettes Outreach for Domestic Violence Victims” –the SCP Silhouettes provided financial and domestic assistance for a Lexington, KY “Silhouette Widow” whose daughter was severely impacted by domestic violence. The second was the launch of the first “SCP International Outreach” which was created by Silhouette Dillard and Silhouette Eleanor Carter (Louisville) to mentor and sponsor students at the Western Christian School in Ghana, West Africa. Funds were raised to pay the tuition for 6 students and over $5,000 in school supplies were collected for the teachers and students. The highlight of the 2014 SCP Silhouettes meeting was that the Owner/Director of the school, Judy Ankrah of Ghana, traveled from Ghana to attend the SCP Silhouettes meeting in Lexington, KY to receive the gifts. Although the SCP may be small in chapter volume, they are BIG in heart. “Striving for excellence” is their mantra. So sit back and see what will happen in 2015, because their motivational song is "Ain't No Stopping Us Now! Silhouette Chantay Dillard

There are countless physical activities out there, but walking has the lowest dropout rate of them all! It's the simplest positive change you can make to effectively improve your heart health. Research has shown that the benefits of walking and moderate physical activity for at least 30 minutes a day can help you:

Reduce the risk of coronary heart disease Improve blood pressure and blood sugar levels Improve blood lipid profile Maintain body weight and lower the risk of obesity Enhance mental well being Reduce the risk of osteoporosis Reduce the risk of breast and colon cancer Reduce the risk of non-insulin dependent (type 2) diabetes

There really are so many benefits for such a simple activity! Sole-Mate: A Friend By Your Side The thought of being alone can be enough to keep some people from walking. The best way to solve this is by finding a friend to walk with. You can plan walking paths that are convenient for both of you, or map out routes that take you places you've never been before. It's a great way to exercise and

spend time with friends! Visit our My Walking Clubs Website and connect with others!

I greet each Silhouettes Chapter in the Southern Region with joy, peace and happiness. The Southern Provincial Meeting was successful and our chairperson for planning was Silhouette Kathie Marsh of Tampa Chapter. The Southern Province Executive Board including Vice Coordinator, Silhouette Thelma Ivery, of Montgomery, Alabama, Pat Hanshaw, Recording Secretary of Montgomery, Alabama, Silhouette Deborah

Harris, Treasurer of Montgomery and myself planned the schedule of events. The Silhou-ettes of Miami provided decorative red gift boxes to each registered Silhouette. On Saturday, the luncheon and tour of the Perez Museum of Art was most enjoyable. We rode the people mover from the hotel over to the museum. The banquet on Saturday was well attended and it was an opportunity to get Silhouettes from different chapters to socialize. It was great knowing we had a diverse group of Silhouettes. Our business meetings were successful and we truly enjoyed Miami. The picnic was outstanding. We were greeted by Hawaiian hostesses. The menu was tops and a whole cooked pig was displayed for a while but was served as part of the meal along with barbeque chicken, pigeon peas and rice, salad, dessert and beverages. I wish to commend all of the Silhouette chapters in the Southern Province for the support that you give to your local chapters. You are to be commended. Hats off to each of you for taking the time to support the Kappas. Sincerely, Silhouette Lorraine R. Offer Southern Province Coordinator

Diabetes is an EPIDEMIC! Yet, we focus on other issues which others feel are more important. I have not met anyone who wanted to be told “You have diabetes”. Diabetes is a very serious disease that demands to be in the spotlight. It can lead to potentially life-threatening complications. In 2009, diabetes has reached epidemic proportions in the US with 24 million children and adults with the disease, 5.2 million with the disease but undiagnosed and 57 million with pre-diabetes, indicating that they have an increased risk to develop the disease. The most recent statistics just released last month (June 2014), reveal 29.1 million, an increase of over 5 million, with the disease, and 8.1 million, an increase of almost 3 million, with the disease but undiagnosed. With the knowledge that we have about diabetes, why would one want to ignore the seriousness of this disease? Diabetes is a condition where the body is not producing enough insulin or the body is not able to use the insulin that is produced. Early symptoms of diabetes include increased urination, increased thirst, blurred vision, and tiredness. Complications from diabetes can range from disabling to life threatening. Complications include blindness, heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, circulatory problems, vascular problems, infections, and neuropathy. Individuals with diabetes have a greater risk for high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Diabetes is the leading cause of amputations other than traumatic injuries. How is a diagnosis made? A fasting blood sugar of 126 or greater on two different occasions indicates diabetes. A diagnosis can also be made if the individual has symptoms of diabetes and/or a random blood sugar test of 200 or greater. According to the American Diabetes Association’s guidelines, a fasting blood sugar of greater than 100 indicates pre-diabetes. The good news is, with early intervention and a healthy lifestyle, proper diet, exercise and education, diabetes can be prevented or the onset delayed. Diabetes is controllable. The key to good diabetes management is education, self-management and having a team of professionals to rely upon. This team should include a certified diabetes educator. If you have diabetes, do you know your goals for diabetes management? Do you know what tests or exams are required to be performed monthly, quarterly, every six months, and annually to manage diabetes? If you or a family member has diabetes, what is your or their A1C? Education is the key to the successful management of diabetes. Take Action Now to lower your risk of developing diabetes or its complications

Western Province Council 67th Western Province Council Meeting Our Council meeting was one of the best we have had in a while. We took care of Province business, bonded and every chapter in the Province was represented. The Western Province spans from Alaska to the north, Hawaii to the West, Arizona to the East and California to the South. While we do not have a chapter in Hawaii, our Anchorage chapter was not only present; one of their newest members was elected to the position of Recording/Corresponding Secretary. Riverside (CA) Alumni Chapter had the highest number of attendees. Los Angeles, Palo Alto and San Diego chapters were in attendance. We are focused on increasing attendance next year. Our meeting was held in Tucson, AZ and hosted by the Province Executive Board. Over the three day period our members enjoyed a welcome reception, off site luncheon at a wonderful venue, a Chalk Festival (Art Exhibit) and a Desert Oasis Tour. Highlights from the business meeting include; election of officers, Bylaws revision, executive appointments of Sergeant at Arms, Province Historian and At-Large Member Coordinator. These appointments are intended significantly enhance our organizational effectiveness.

Western Province Charters New Chapter We are proud to announce the addition of the Long Beach, Inglewood South Bay Alumni Chapter. The Chapter was chartered on May 18, 2014 with 13 members. Recently the Palo Alto (CA) Silhouettes Chapter celebrated our end of the year meeting. The meeting included a Sisterhood pinning to recognize ‘’The Small but Mighty” Chapter’s dedication to Silhouettes purpose through implementation of national program goals including local and international service projects. It is with excitement that the chapter is looking forward to achieving future goals and accomplishments.

Some of the latest accomplishments by the Palo Alto Silhouettes: Palo Alto Chapter served as an active supporter to the Palo Alto Alumni Chapter Kappas as they were recognized by receiving the President’s Volunteer Service Award during April 2014 Charter Day Program. During the Christmas season, we supported 4 migrant worker families including 11 children by giving toys and treats. The Silhouettes gift wrapped and assisted in distributing the toys, at their school’s Christmas celebration

in addition, the Kappas read books to the children. We continue to donate coats to One Warm Coat project of the University AME Zion Church in Palo Alto, CA. Clothing and toiletries were donated to Gilroy Compassion Center for the homeless. Silhouettes donated monies to the Red Cross for the typhoon disaster relief in the Philippines. We made a donation to the Kappa Foundation through the Western Province Council Silhouettes.

Michael's or Hobby Lobby? It depends. Hobby Lobby has a wider selection, but some-times you just have to shop on Sunday.

Ice Cream or Yogurt? Fro-yo, anytime and anywhere. Low Carb or Gluten Free? Neither, I like cake, cookies, and pie too much. Quik Trip or Race Trac? QT always has the cheapest gas and the best snacks. Purified Water or Distilled Water? Purified, I'm partial to Dasani. American Idol or The Voice? The Voice. I hate when there's an age limit to talent.

Dancing with the Stars or So You Think You Can Dance? Dancing with the Stars, except when one of those Disney kids is on it. They have an unfair advantage.

Michael's or Hobby Lobby? Hobby Lobby. I love their 50% off sale on many items! Ice Cream or Yogurt? Ice Cream

Low Carb or Gluten Free? Neither, I am a dessert person. Quik Trip or Race Trac? QT they are closer to my house and have cheaper prices. Purified Water or Distilled Water? Purified American Idol or The Voice? Neither….I am over the singing shows.

Dancing with the Stars or So You Think You Can Dance? SYTYCD has the most amazing choreographed dances.
