Silhouette Ella M. Brown For
NATIONAL TREASURER
My experience in serving as treasurer for several years have provided me with the skills and ability
to serve as the National Treasurer. I was appointed to serve as the National Treasurer from January
2019 until July 2019. I currently serve as Treasurer for the Southern Province since 2015 and my
local chapter Montgomery Kappa Silhouettes since 2009. My term as Treasurer for both the Southern
Province and my local chapter will expire at the end of August 30, 2019. I have always exhibited
a responsible and positive attitude in supporting both the Southern Province Silhouettes of Kappa
Alpha Psi, Inc and my local chapter the Montgomery Kappa Silhouettes in my current positions.
In addition to my experience as Treasurer for the Southern Province and my local chapter, I also
serve as Treasurer of both the RBC Scholarship Fund and RBC Youth Development Program. In
2018 I initiated a Scholarship Fund Drive raising a considerable amount of funds which was secured
from both in state and out of state contributors. I also coordinated with another local church in the
community to secure funds to donate gifts to all nursing home clients in a local nursing home and
rehabilitation facility. My service to the community provided me with the opportunity to volunteer
to serve on the finance committee of a local organization who have been in existence for over 100
years that provide monetary assistance for burial if families are not able to meet their obligations.
The position of Treasurer requires honesty, financial stability and willingness to serve with others so
that the organization sustains its stability. Additionally, a Treasurer must present to the organization
team a level of commitment to the goals and objectives of the organization. I am very confident
and would be honored to serve in the capacity as National Treasurer.
As a retired state employee of the Alabama Department of Revenue for almost thirty years, I have
always performed my duties as an Analyst. My responsibilities were to ensure that all my reports
were submitted accurately without delays.
I have been married to my husband Jeffrey Brown, a life member, for thirty-four years and member
of the Montgomery Alumni Chapter. We are the parents of one son and three grandchildren.
Together we are a family with a strong foundation who treat each other with respect as well as others.
