How will we know what’s false if we don’t know what’s true?

J.O.Y. Ministry on Mission

Summer is almost over and school bells will soon be ringing! And with that comes new

opportunities and a fresh new beginning. Though summer vacation seems as if it just began, it’s time to purchase school supplies and start a new year. We, the members of FBC, are deeply grateful for all of the teachers, administrators and staff that serve the students in our local schools. We realize that they have a difficult task and we stand behind them with our prayerful support. As a tangible way of showing our gratitude, the J.O.Y. Ministry of FBC will be providing ‘Teacher Treats’ for each of our three Headland schools for one day during the first week of school. We need help! If you are willing and available to bake 2-3 dozen cookies, we would appreciate it. (We will need a total of 60-65 dozen.) Just so we know that we will have enough but not way too many, please sign up in the foyer after the Worship Service this coming Sunday, August 2nd. When you sign up, some kind ladies will tell you all the details about when we need the cookies, etc. We will bag the cookies up and get them ready for delivery at our next J.O.Y. Ministry Luncheon on Tuesday, August 11th. We will begin at 11:00 AM that day with a delicious meal (everything will be provided). Our theme will be “Back to School”. Join us as we band together for ‘Project: Teacher Treats’! One last thing….the Celebration Choir has enjoyed a brief break during July and is now back in full swing. If you would like to join this happy group, you are more than welcome to meet with us in the Worship Center each Wednesday night at 6:00 PM for rehearsal. I hope to see you there! Sincerely His, Tim P.S. The Preschool Choir and Children’s Choir will resume after Labor Day.

“Back to School!”

W e are privileged to host Dr. Richard Elligson

of the Baptist College of Florida to guide us

through an enlightening study of three ma-

jor false religions of our day. A careful examination of

these deceptive movements will reinforce our beliefs,

arm us against false beliefs and equip us to share our

faith.
