Aegis Trust

“Works towards the prediction, prevention and ultimately the elimination of genocide for the benefit of mankind primarily through research, education and

the dissemination of information and advice."

Aegis treats genocide as a public health issue with three phases:

Primary Prevention: Research, remembrance and learning about the past, creating community resilience against the risk of genocide in the future

Secondary Prevention: Evidence-based campaigns to stop mass atrocities in the present

Tertiary prevention: Supporting survivors and communities to rebuild when genocide is past

Opportunity & Job Creation

Our criteria to be join the training programme is based on a situation and needs assessment of applicants. We endeavour to provide opportunities to our beneficiaries in the Rebuilding Lives programme

Trainees are provided with a professional development plan and evaluated after three months of training to see how they have progressed. If we are able to provide employment at this stage, we either will, or we will recommend them to other employers.

If more training is required, then the programme continues for a further 3 months and emphasis is placed on areas which were identified for improvement
