What is Campus Ministry?

he book of Acts have always defined the purpose of almost all of our Church ministries. In Acts 1:8,

the Lord tells us: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me… unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

We have often heard this verse from our pulpits, have read it from our personal readings, and even memorized it since we were on Children’s Sunday School. But where is that “uttermost” anyway? The word “uttermost” simply means, “our farthest reaches in both geographic location and social community”.

The “uttermost” are places or communities that the church as a whole cannot reach out to, but a Christian individual may have regular interactions with. As students, your “uttermost” is your university, your college, or your school. God calls the place where you spend the most of your time when you are not in church, your “uttermost” or simply your mission field.

Every member of the church ought to be a commissioned missionary. In our days, the word “Missionary” is entitled to Christians who have given their lives for God to go to the farthest places of the earth. But in a more strict biblical sense, we are all missionaries sent for the farthest reaches of our social status.

Our generation needs campus missionaries who would go to their furthest social reaches to share the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. TEAMChrist Youth Ministry started upon this conviction.

To reach out to other schoolmates is the burning burden of the college members from CBBC San Fernando City that started it all. TEAMChrist—Together Exalting and Magnifying Christ was born as a church ministry for the campus. It focuses on aggressive Soulwinning, extensive Ministry Training and warm Christian Fellowship. We have weekly programs and school events that makes the life of the Christian Youth both fun and meaningful.

That is why the first and foremost ministry of TEAMChrist Campus is to provide the Young People with a hands-on soulwining training. We believe that sharing the Gospel is both the best youth exposure and experience. It is the best way to instill biblical compassion, responsibility and wisdom

into their lives. “…and he that winneth souls is wise”. Proverbs 11:30 ***

f we believe on what God can do, then we ought to

believe in the power of prayer. We train the youth to value their time with God by earnestly praying together as the sun rises early in morning. “O God, thou art my

God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee...” Psalm 63:1 ***

The time of youth is the best time for learning. We make sure to have plenty of time to meet and discuss things as simple as personal likes to great things such as life,

ministry, God’s will and many others. We plan, pray and make things happen for God. “For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.” Proverbs 24:6 ***

binding them with the Lord in a personal covenant. "I have made a covenant with my chosen..." Psalm 89:3 ***

ministry. TEAMChrist is all about getting people to hear the Gospel. We endeavor to fulfill legal requirements and documents to get permits in conducting many evangelistic events. “...Go out into the highways and hedges, and

compel them to come in... Luke 14:23 ***

he best way to end a semester is to spend time in spiritual thanksgiving. So whether it be a travel tour, a resort escape or just pitching an overnight tent camp at the back of the church, we make sure to unwind the team and refocus ourselves towards the future ahead. “I will bless the LORD, who hath given me

counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.” Psalm 16:7 ***
