Shopping AssistantSmart way to guide your customersthrough the shopping process.

List of features:Admin can create Question Sets for one or severalproduct categories;

Question Sets can consist of an unlimited number ofquestions with answers options;

Each answer option can be bound to a certain product;

Admin can either bind products to an answer optionone by one or specify an attribute which will be usedto filter products;

Automatically filters the product list based on customer’sanswers and displays only the relevant products;

Admin can configure dependencies between answersand following questions. Thus customers will be askedquestions which are based on their previous answers;

You can open the Module’s

section by clicking on

Shopping Assistant menu tab.


The Question Set grid is the

first page you will see, when

clicked on Shopping

Assistant tab menu.

1.2 Question set Grid. General overview

The grid shows you all

created Question set, their

Id, Name, Number of

questions in the Set and

Status.

The Actions drop-down lets

you mass-delete Question

Sets


Enter the required

information and proceed to

other sections.

1.3 Creating New Question Set. General Information

Text from Description and

Short Description will be

displayed in the Shopping

Assistant bar on the front-

end. Please refer to page 13

for an example.

The option defines whether

your custom Question set

name will be displayed in the

Shopping Assistant bar on

the front-end. Please refer to

page 13 for an example.


Two question sets can’t be

assigned to one Category.

An already occupied

Category will be shown as

disabled.

Here you can choose which

Categories the question set

will be displayed on.

Here you can add

questions to your

Question set

If you haven’t saved the

Question set yet, you will be

asked to do that in order to

be able to add Questions.

After everything is configured,

you will be able to see your

Questions, their Id, Dependency

and Number of Answers in them.

After saving the

Question set you will see

the Question grid and

will be able to add new

Questions.


1.6 Creating New Question Set. Adding Questions and Answers

On the General section you

can specify Question text,

its Description and Position

in the Question set.

When you click Add New

Question on the previous

page, you will be

redirected to a new page

for managing a Question

with own sections –

General and Conditions.

Add Answers to the

Question with text and

position.

The Configure link will open a

popup, where you can

configure which Products

should be displayed, when a

customer chooses the Answer


1.7 Creating New Question Set. Choosing Products for an Answer

The choice of

products is made as

a standard

Conditions list,

where you can

choose different

attributes or specify

products by their

SKUs.

When you click on Configure link next to an Answer, a pop up will appear, where you will be

able to choose which Products should be displayed when customer chooses the Answer.

The Conditions tab lets you configure

dependencies between Questions.

Here you can set in

what case the

Question should be

displayed.

1.9 Additional Shopping Assistant settings

There is an additional setting in System-

>Configuration->General->Aitoc Shopping

Assistant Settings

This setting will let you

configure whether the

Shopping Assistant Block

will be always in full view

(“No” value) or short view

with ability to expand it

(“Yes” value).


2. Shopping Assistant. Front-end

When you are in a Category,

which has a Question Set

assigned, you will see the

Shopping Assistant bar

docked on the top of the

center column (the column,

where your products

display).

Clicking on it will expand it to

display text description.



Here you can see the

Question set Name, Short

Description and full

Description of the Question

set.

Clicking on the Go button will

reveal the 1st Question and

Answers.



After all Questions are

answered, you will see the

final text, explaining to

customer that he/she reached

the “finish line” and browse

the offered products.

Your customer can Reset all

the Answers or return to a

previous Question.
