Erin Stone is part of the BBraun IT organization as SAP Senior FI/CO Technical Analyst

• Certified CRISC

IT Support for the Finance, Audit and Law Compliance business areas since 2006.

Prior to B. Braun, Stone worked for Bayer Corporation as an SAP Product Cost Analyst, implementing portions of the product cost module of SAP in 2001 – 2005. Stone refined her capabilities at Duquesne University.

Challenges

ACL Services Ltd. is a company providing audit analytics and continuous monitoring software.[1]

Pain – With the large amount of data relating to just audit testing for duplicate payments (eighty six thousand plus lines for one company code) – it was difficult to get data from SAP in a structured format to pull into the ACL tool.

Our Goal then - So we set out to see if there were methods and tools that would allow us to overcome this challenge associated with SAP data extraction

Based on the business case that many hours of manual effort were required to gather this data

• We did not have a tool that allowed the business users the ability to obtain the data required in order to perform the internal audit analysis.

Then identified it as a perfect tool to use to obtain data for the Internal Audit

Results and Savings

We use Winshuttle Query for the Internal audit department support.

Also used to feed data out of SAP to a server that picks up those files and pulls them into SQL database to use for reporting.

This process has saved over months of hours per annum of time for our end users, and for IT support.
