Introduction

Government Polytechnic Thane organized One week AICTE-ISTE sponsored Refresher

Program on “NBA Accreditation : Preparation and Evaluation” from 14/12/2020 to

19/12/2020 for Teaching faculties of Engineering and Polytechnic Institutes. STTP is

coordinated by Ms.Varsha A. Khandekar, Lecturer in Information Technology department

under the guidance of Dr. Nitiket N. Mhala, Principal Government Polytechnic Thane.

More than 500 Participants registered for this training program from all over India and

only 100 participants are selected to attend training program via online mode.

The objectives of training are:-

• Overview of NBA and its process

• NBA, SAR and Documents required

• Vision –Mission and their mapping

• Outcome Based Education (OBE)

• Teaching learning Process

• Direct and Indirect Tools for assessment

• Attainment of CO’s, PO’s, PEO’s, & PSO’s

• Viewpoint of NBA Evaluators.

Expected outcomes:-

• Participants will be able understand NBA and its process.

• Participants will be familiarized to NBA, SAR and Documents required.

• Participants will be able to use Direct and Indirect Tool for assessment.

• Participants will be able to use various teaching learning processes.

Date: 14/12/2020 Inauguration

The Program was inaugurated in the presence of Hon’ble Shri.Jitendra R.

Nikhade, Assistant Director, Technical Education Regional Office, Mumbai Maharashtra

and Dr. Nitiket N. Mhala, Principal, Government Polytechnic Thane. The program was

conducted by Program Coordinator Ms.Varsha A. Khandekar, Lecturer, Information

Technology, Government Polytechnic Thane.

The Coordinator introduced and honored the chief-guest Shri.Jitendra R.Nikhade and the

guest Dr. Nitiket N. Mhala. The chief-guest Shri. Jitendra R. Nikhade elaborates the

importance of NBA Accreditation for Technical Institutes and gave the best wishes to all

participants along with Government polytechnic Thane. Dr. Nitiket N. Mhala discussed the

benefits and outcomes of this refresher program.

DAY-1 On 14/12/2020, Session -1 & 2 is based on

1. Overview of NBA: Introduction, OBE philosophy

2. Accreditation Process.

This session is conducted by Expert Dr. Gajanan V. Gotmare, I/C H.O.D. Electrical

Engineering, Government Polytechnic, Gondia, Maharashtra.

Coordinator, Ms. Varsha A. Khandekar briefly introduced Dr.Gajanan V. Gotmare. He is

currently working as a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering Department at Government

polytechnic Gondia. He has contributed as coordinator and Resource person at various

STTP on NBA. Currently he is working as member secretary for Mission NBA 2020 under

Regional Office Nagpur, Maharashtra. Dr.Gajanan V. Gotmare also organized International

conference and workshop based on OBE, NBA and green energy technologies.

During Session, Dr.Gajanan V. Gotmare discussed,

Three types of documents necessary for NBA:-

1) Curriculum documents

2) Teaching Learning process documents

3) Assessment norms documents

OBE requires 360 degree approach.

Outline of SAR preparation from criteria 1 to criteria 9.

Correlation must be required between program Vision/Mission with Institute

Vision/Mission.

Vision statement should be short term and fulfilled.

Mission is a path to achieve Vision.

Vision and Mission of the program must be created based on SWOT analysis-

STRENGTH, WEAKNESS, OPPORTUNITY & THREAT.

PEO statements must be the outcomes achieved after completing diploma/degree.

PO statements must contain attributes/characteristics of Students. Statements must

follow SMART Strategy- SPECIFIC, MEASUREABLE, ACHIEVABLE, REALITY &

TIMELY.

In CO-PO Mapping, it is not necessary to map all CO with all PO.

OBJECTIVE indicates What Teacher needs to teach and what need to be plan to

teach?

OUTCOME indicates What Students should demonstrate after learning course?

NBA is for Program, not for an Institute.

Eligibility for getting an Accreditation for a Program, 2 batches must be graduated

from a particular Program. Part time programs are not considered for Accreditation.

For two shifts Program, sharing of resources and faculties are considered for

evaluation process.

On NBA portal, in single application maximum 5 Programs can apply for

Accreditation.

DAY-2 On 15/12/2020, Session 3 & 4 based on

1) Visit Schedule and the role of Institute & Visit team

2) Pre-qualifier preparation

This session is conducted by Expert Dr.Abhaykumar S. Wayal, Associate Professor,Civil

Engg. VJTI, Mumbai Maharashtra.

Dr.Abhaykumar S. Wayal is currently working as Associate Professor in Civil Engineering

Department at VJTI, Mumbai, Maharashtra. Dr. Abhaykumar Wayal as an NBA evaluator

visited to 30 Institutes of 12 different states of India. He also worked as an Expert member

for NBA.

During Session, Dr. Abhaykumar S. Wayal discussed,

Accreditation is the need of the day to survive.

There are Three fishes must be kept in mind- Plan Ahead, Think fast, Wait and

see,.

Attitude is very important.

There are four stages for applying to NBA:-

1. Initial Stage -Registration fees

2. Pre-assessment Stage – Pre-qualifier submission ( 10% fees)

3. Assessment Stage – Preparation of SAR (90% fees)

4. Post-Assessment Stage – Confirmation received and five possible dates are

asked by NBA to an Institute.

Website updating is very important.

On day 0, Team will reach and stay at Hotel. Evaluator will discuss issues common

to all Programs.

Evaluator check whether the data uploaded on SAR is consistent with data available

on Website of an Institute.

Significant weakness observed in SAR which needs to be examined during the visit.

Significant strengths which needs to be re-confirmed during the visit.

On day 1, at 8:45 a.m. team will arrive to an Institute.

Administration must take care that their staff must reach to an Institute at 08:00

a.m. on the day of Accreditation.

Camera-man is compulsorily required.

Principal of an Institute must give presentation about the Institute.

Presentation data must matched with data uploaded on SAR.

Team will take working lunch only at college.

On day 2, Morning 9:00 a.m., Evaluator will sit on Lectures and Observe.

Asking questions to Students and Faculties.

In Afternoon, from 2:00- 2:30 p.m., Team will visit and observed projects for the

purpose of the attainment of POs.

From 2:30- 03:00 p.m., Chairman with one expert will conduct meeting with

Alumni, Parents and Employees.

From 3:30 – 04:00 p.m., All team members conduct meeting with Students and

Faculties.

On Day 3, at 10:00 a.m. in Exit Meeting, Chairman give specific remarks about the

Program.

Infrastructure doesn’t matter for Accreditation. Only minimum requirement for

effective implementation of teaching learning is required and get inspected.

DAY-2 On 15/12/2020, Session 5 & 6 is based on

1. Guidelines for Preparation of SAR

2. Guidelines for faculty norms & faculty student ratio

This session is carried out by Expert Dr.Arpan K. Mondal, Assistant Professor,

Mechanical Engg. NITTTR Kolkata, India.

Dr.Arpan K. Mondal is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Mechanical

Engineering department at NITTTR Kolkata. Dr.Arpan K. Mondal invited for one week FDP

on “Overview of NBA & Washington accord”. Currently working as a joint organizing

secretary for International Conference on Experimental and computational methods in

manufacturing, Aruranchal Pradesh. He is active member of “The arte of Living foundation”.

Also connected to social work through N.G.O.

During Session, Dr. Arpan K. Mondal discussed,

In INDIA, NBA follows Washington accord.

Washington accord defines graduate attributes. For Graduate attributes, program

doesn’t matter. For all program, graduate attributes defines program outcomes i.e.

PO.

Washington accord developed in 1989 for UG Engineering degree program and in

INDIA extended to Diploma, Management program. INDIA represented by NBA in

2014.

Tier-1 includes all autonomous university/Institutes, deemed university including

(Government and Private).

Tier-2 includes non-autonomous institute (Government and Private).

CO’s must be student-focused. Alignment between course, program and institution

levels is required.

Rubrics indicate set of performance indicators which define specific expectation

from students.

Institute level criteria assessed by Chairman of Team.

Program level criteria assessed by other team members.

Documentary evidences to be kept ready by an Institute such as:-

1. Meeting Register/documents.

2. Rules/Policies published by an Institute including service-book, academic

regulations.

3. Budget allocation and utilization-Audited statement of accounts

4. Website details

5. Library resources

6. Medical care record

7. Feedback form from stakeholders.

8. List of Faculty with their qualification.

DAY-3 On 16/12/2020, Session 7 & 8 are based on

1. SAR preparation: Criteria 1 ( Vision, Mission and Program Educational

Objectives )

2. Criteria 2 ( Program Curriculum and Teaching–Learning Processes)

This session is conducted by Expert Dr. Rayapati Subbarao, Associate Professor,

Mechanical Engg. NITTTR Kolkata, India.

Dr. Rayapati Subbarao is currently working as an Associate Professor in MECHANICAL

Engineering at NITTTR Kolkatta. Dr. Subbarao has more than 17 years of experience in

Teaching, Research & Development and Training. He has 83 publications in reputed

International Journals and Conferences. Apart from Teaching and R&D, he has also been

involved in participating/organizing workshops/conferences/STTPs, installation of labs

and preparation of course materials/lab handouts. He is a Member of Institution of

Engineers (India) (MIE) and ASME. Also, he is a life member of Indian Society of Heat and

Mass Transfer (ISHMT), Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power (FMFP), Combustion Institute

(India) and Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE). He was involved in works like EU-

Asialink program, ABET, USA and NBA accreditations. Dr. Rayapati Subbarao has developed

35 Videos for Gyan darshan and organized 80 faculty development training program.

Need of Accreditation.

Purposes will be served through Accreditation.

Impact of Accreditation.

Benefits of Accreditation to the Institute.

NBA always ask for new innovative methods of teaching-learning.

Documents/Evidences are most important for NBA.

NBA is based on SAR of respective department/Program. It is depends on

presentation by all faculty of that particular program.

If Institute is AICTE approved then team will consider the facilities and technical

support available in the Institute.

In Criteria 1, Institute Vision indicate WHAT YOU WANT TO BECOME?(1 statement)

Mission of Institute indicate HOW DO YOU ACHIEVE THE VISION?(3 statement)

Program Vision & Mission also follows guidelines like Institute Vision & Mission.

Program Educational Objective (PEO) indicates WHY STUDENTS JOIN YOUR

PROGRAM?

(3 – 5 Statements)

Institute/Program-Mission statements must be based on Lab Facility, Competent

Faculty and excellent teaching learning environment.

While framing PEO’S, we must include basic & advanced knowledge, Employment in

public/private sector, higher studies, become Entrepreneur, and solve industrial or

societal problems.

PEO’s should be consistent with the mission of the institute.

All stakeholders should participate in the process of framing PEO’S.

Number of PEO’S should be manageable.

PEOs should be based on needs of stakeholders and must be achievable, specific to

the program.

PEOs should not be too narrow and must be different than the Program outcome

(PO).

For mapping level 1 indicates low/indirectly linking, level 2 indicates

moderate/slightly linking and level 3 indicates high/directly linking.

In criteria 2, Teaching learning process is very important.

At start of academic year, faculty meeting must be conducted to set target of Course

Outcome (CO) and Program Outcome (PO).

After class test class committee meeting must be carried out with HOD, Faculty,CR.

For Diploma institute, Quality improve committee meeting is required.

Before the end of semester, faculty meeting must be conducted to discuss problems

related to Student performance or any other issues.

At term end, we need to collect CO based feedback.

PO based feedback must be collected at the end of year by conducting stakeholder

meeting. Stakeholder includes Faculty, Pass-out Students, Alumni,

Employers/Industry and Parents.

We need to perform all academic activities as per Academic calendar.

Two internal class test, 3 assignment- 1 surprise,1 group and 1 take home

assignment must be assigned to Students.

Quality of students project must be measured through application, product,

research, review and industry related.

Class test 1 and Class test 2 must include CO1 & CO2 and CO3 & CO4 respectively

and Assignment must cover CO5.

For improving Industry- Institute interaction, Guest lectures, Industry based Project

and Lab setup activities must be conducted.

Course file must include following contents:-

1. Time table, showing slot of particular course

2. Syllabus with Cos, CO-PO matrix.

3. Lecture plan/lesson for all lectures.

4. Hand written material/PPT or any other teaching tool.

5. Assignment/ class test/final exam question papers.

6. For all conducted test, model answer script.

7. Result analysis-excel sheet.

8. Outcome assessment report-CO assessment.

9. Attendance record.

10. Result & Report.

Lecture plan must include objective of lecture, learning outcome i.e. ability expected

from a particular lecture, Tools/teaching aids and Lecture conducted date.

For slow learners, mentoring system and remedial classes need to be conducted.

Learning beyond the syllabus to increase employability.

Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities must be conducted and records must be

generated.

Content beyond the syllabus, additional topic can be added to improve

employability.

In centric learning initiative and effective implementation, students can attend

online courses.

Provide compiled and authenticate data in SAR.

DAY-4 On 17/12/2020, Session 9 is based on

1. Criteria 3: Course Outcome Mapping

This session is conducted by Expert Dr. Sanjay W. Rajurkar, Associate Professor,

Mechanical Engg. Govt. College of Engg., Chandrapur, Maharashtra.

Dr. Sanjay W. Rajurkar is an Associate professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at Government College of Engineering, Chandrapur, Maharashtra, India. He has more than 28 years of teaching and research experience. He has conducted more than 10 Training program on NBA, Program outcome attainment methodology. Sir published 3 patents in journal and also published 1 book. Dr. Sanjay Rajurkar received ISTE Best Polytechnic Teacher award for Maharashtra-Goa state for the year 2016.

During Session, Dr. Sanjay W. Rajurkar discussed,

Outcome based education i.e. OBE is based on:

1. WHAT THE STUDENTS NEED TO LEARN?

2. WHAT THE STUDENTS SHOULD DEMONSTRATE TO THE WORLD?

NBA is based on Washington Accord- is an agreement made for exchanging the idea.

NBA focusing on the adoption of outcome based education approach for engineering

which is started in 2013 in India.

Reason behind NBA:-

1. Quality assurance

2. Recognition by the stakeholder.

3. Branding

4. Recognition of graduates globally.

5. International mobility i.e Washington accord.

While writing CO’s, we must take care whether mapping of Co’s with PO’s are

possible or not?

NO OBE = NO Accreditation.

Benefits of OBE:-

1. More directed & coherent curriculum.

2. Graduates will be more relevant to Industries and other stakeholders.

Washington accord defines 12 graduate attributes for undergraduate engineering

institute and 7 for diploma institutes.

Program Outcome i.e. PO describes what students are expected to know and be able

to do upon the graduation/ after the graduation.

PO’s must be based on SMART i.e Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and

Time-specific.

Program specific outcome is a subset of Program Outcome. Program specific

outcome is based on the local needs.

Curriculum mapping is done by framing matrix. There is no compulsion that every

course must get mapped with all PO’s.

12 Po’s are categorized in different domain such as:-

1. Cognitive domain-PO1, PO2, PO6, PO7

2. Psychomotor domain- PO3, PO4, PO5

3. Affective domain – PO8, PO9, PO10, PO11, PO12

While writing CO’s, proper verb must be used so that Students can understand

question and particular CO can be achieved. Select verb from BLOOM’S taxonomy.

Direct assessment tools consist of Test, Assignment, Rubric for specific Engineering

problem and Project/design product.

Course wise CO’s can be formed by discussing with domain wise faculty group in

faculty meeting and then finalized CO’s.

For assigning different level of mapping, relate the level of PO with number of hours

devoted to that particular CO’s.

In CO-PO-PSO mapping,

1. No. of hours > 40% of classroom session addressing a particular PO then use level 3.

2. No. of hours 25% to 40% of classroom session addressing a particular PO then use

level 2.

3. No. of hours 5% to 25% of classroom session addressing a particular PO then use

level 1.

4. No. of hours <5% of classroom session addressing a particular PO then use no

mapping.

Criteria 3: Attainment Calculation

This session is conducted by Expert Dr. Sanjay B. Ingole, Associate Professor,

Mechanical Engg. Govt. College of Engg., Chandrapur, Maharashtra.

Dr. Sanjay B. Ingole is an Associate professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at

Government College of Engineering, Chandrapur, Maharashtra, India. Dr. Sanjay Ingole

organized more than 10 STTP programs and published more than 7 paper in International

Journal & presented 10 papers in National & International conferences.

During Session, Dr. Sanjay B. Ingole demonstrate on,

Correlation between Course, PO’s & PSO.

The attainment of course outcome is calculated based on two methods:-

1. Direct Assessment tool

a. Progressive Test

b. Continuous assessment/assignment

c. Seminar

d. Term end exam

2. Indirect Assessment tool

a. Student feedback

b. Course Exit survey

c. Faculty survey

d. Alumni survey

Direct method contributed 80% in attainment calculation.

Indirect method contributed 20% in attainment calculation.

In direct assessment tool, progressive test paper must be designed properly so that

attainment calculation can be easily evaluated.

After assessing answer-book, CO-PO attainment will be calculated for particular

course by framing proper calculation based document.

It is not mandatory to set target as per the guidelines defined in SAR.

We have flexibility to set target of any course depending upon the difficulty level of a

course.

Target can be set based on past three year result/performance of particular course.

We need to give justification to NBA committee regarding the set target.

Attainment level can be defined as :

1. 1 – >50% & <60%

2. 2 – >60% & <70%

3. 3 – >70%

Attainment level can be defined by faculty based on performance of students.

Micro-project attainment also calculated like progressive test attainment but rather

than considering total no. of students, we need to consider only no. of students

assigned for particular CO’s.

For term end exam, attainment is calculated on the basis of final marks given by

Board/University.

For indirect assessment, attainment can be calculated by response received from

survey of all stakeholders.

As per weightage given to direct attainment i.e. 80% and indirect attainment i.e.

20%, final direct and indirect attainment is calculated.

The final attainment is calculated by adding final direct and indirect attainment.

Formula used to get Course PO attainment is –

(Average strength to which the PO is addressed /3) * (Average attainment in

all the associated CO

We need to calculate CO-PO attainment for individual student.

DAY-4 On 17/12/2020, Afternoon Session 11 is based on

1. Criteria 4- Student’s Performance

This session is conducted by Expert Dr. Vikas M. Phalle, Associate Professor, Mechanical

Engineering, VJTI Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Dr. Vikas M. Phalle, is an Associate professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at VJTI,Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Dr.Vikas M. Phalle published Books and Patents and also work for Fund Generation MODROB/QIP/Consultancy/Testing. Sir worked for Global Initiative on Academic Network (GIAN) MHRD Scheme. Dr.Vikas M. Phalle organized 27 Short Term Courses/workshop. Sir visited different states as a Member of Expert Team of National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for Tier-I, Tier-II and Diploma Institutions in India. Also Conducted more than 30 workshops on NBA in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh,

Rajasthan and Bihar. Dr.Vikas M. Phalle guided 14 PhD. Scholar under National Doctoral

Fellowship (NDF) – AICTE Delhi during 2018 to 2020. Sir organized 3 International

conference and also invited as a session chair in international conference ICoNSoM-2019

Italy Rome. Dr.Vikas M. Phalle invited as a keynote speaker in various

International/National Conferences. Sir contributed as a Reviewer for 3 International

Journals/conferences and 3 International/National Books. Dr. Vikas M. Phalle published

In diploma,5 years data is taken into consideration for preparation of criteria 4 and

in Degree 3 years data is considered.

Criteria 5- Faculty Information & Contribution

This session is explained by Expert Dr. Ravindra Duche, Head of EXTC Department, Lokmanya

Tilak College of Engineering, Koparkhairne, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Dr.Ravindra N. Duche, is currently working as Head of Department in Lokmanya Tilak

College of Engineering, Koparkhairne, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. He has published more

than 30 papers in various International and National conferences. He is also invited as an

Expert for than 25 STTP /Workshop/conferences.

For Criteria 5 i.e. Student Faculty Ratio needs to calculate for every academic year.

Faculty teaching load for two consecutive semesters is considered for calculation of

SFR.

In SFR calculation, “A” indicate faculty from own department, “B” indicates faculty

from other department engaging load of NBA applying department.

Student faculty ratio i.e. S: F ratio = N/F where,

F = No. of faculty = (a + b) for every assessment year

N=No. of students = Sanctioned Intake + Actually admitted lateral entry students.

Faculty qualification index i.e. FQ = 2* (10X + 7Y) /F where

X is no. of faculty with M.Tech. (in case of humanities and science M.Phil./Ph.D.) Y is no. of faculty with B.Tech. (In case of humanities and science MA/ M.sc)

F is no. of faculty required to comply 1:25 Faculty Student Ratio In faculty participation in faculty development/training activities, Faculty can score

maximum 5 points.

This session is conducted by Expert Mr.Radheyshyam Singh, NBA coordinator,

M.H.Saboo Siddik Polytechnic, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Mr Radheshyam Singh is currently working as Selection grade lecturer at M.H.Saboo

Siddik Polytechnic, Mumbai, Maharashtra. He has done Master from VJTI Mumbai,

Maharashtra. He has 23 year of Teaching and 6 year of industrial experience. He is holding

additional charge of NBA coordinator for the Institute. He has conducted workshop on NBA

accreditation for other Institute and Under his guidance Institute’s Programs got

accreditation.

During Session, Mr. Radheshyam Singh discussed on

Criteria 7 i.e. continuous improvement indicates action taken based on the result of

evaluation of each of the POs and PSOs.

It gives summary of effectiveness of teaching learning process. Through this criteria,

proper way of execution of academics by an Institute is identified by an Expert.

To decide action plan, PO attainment is taken into consideration. PO attainment

depends on :

1. Direct assessment- 80%

2. Indirect assessment-20%

If attainment is in between 1 to 2 then action plan is need to plan.

Suppose target attainment is 2.4 and attainment level is 1.9 then there is a gap of

0.5. So in this case actions are required.

For Supporting documents for documentary evidences of POs and PSOs attainment

level, direct and indirect assessment carried out documents must be available with a

program.

In direct assessment, keep record of examination scheme related assessment

documents and for indirect assessment, course exit survey documents are required.

If there is a fall in success index then it is essential to find the gap.

For Gap identification, we need to conduct extra lecture/ workshop/ training/ visit.

To identify gap:

1. Check pre-requisite topic for a particular course is not included in

curriculum.

2. Skill needed by industry but not included in curriculum.

3. Need to find out the reason for fall in success index.

4. Take feedback from employers.

5. Take feedback from Alumni.

Success index is taken from criteria 4.2.1.

Success index is number of students who have passed from the program in

stipulated period of course duration divided by number of students admitted in the

first year of that batch and admitted in 2nd year lateral entry.

To improve success index, we need to reduce ATKT or backlog.

Placement index data is taken from 4.6 data. For diploma, higher education is

considered for placement index by NBA committee.

Placement index = (1.25 X +Y+Z)/N, this data must be above 0.8 and data is taken

from 4.6.

Improvement in academic performance index is calculated as X * (Y/Z) and this data

is taken from 4.5.

Institute must have Internal academic audit committee to review complete

academic and some committees like:

1. IAMC – Internal Academic monitoring committee

2. EAMC – External Academic monitoring committee

3. IQMC – Internal Quality assessment cell

IQMC cell work for quality improvement and assessment. This committee consists of

3 members where one faculty must be from other department.

For continuous corrective action planning, process of formulation of various

committees must be executed by an Institute.

New facility created can be hardware and software, where software includes

upgradation of Software and hardware may include lab equipment or additional lab.

In criteria 8 i.e. student support system, mentoring system plays important role.

What type of mentoring system institute must have is not defined by NBA, So

flexibility is given to Institute to form mentoring system.

Mentoring system overcome weakness of students, solve various problem related to

students in terms of academic and personal.

Mentoring system creates awareness about hidden talent of Students which

improves student’s overall performance.

Mentoring system helps to achieve higher degree of academic performance which

leads to improve successive index of an Institute.

Mentoring committee consists of 3 member such as:

1. Principal- Chief Mentor and can appoint external Counsellor like psychiatrist.

For 20-30 Students, one mentor can be assign. Mentor must conduct a meeting twice

Mentor should report to counsellor and discuss any type of issues related to

Students to resolve them.

Mentor must provide guidance to students about MSBTE & Institute rules regarding

academic & Exam.

Before the visit of NBA committee, Institute must keep record of:

2. Schedule of meeting with Student.

3. Mentoring log book where students can report their issues.

4. Attributes to identify weak and bright students.

5. Student feedback.

6. Feedback on facilities.

Dr. Vikas M. Phalle, is an Associate professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at VJTI,Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Dr.Vikas M. Phalle published Books and Patents and also work for Fund Generation MODROB/QIP/Consultancy/Testing. Sir worked for Global Initiative on Academic Network (GIAN) MHRD Scheme. Dr.Vikas M. Phalle organized 27 Short Term Courses/workshop. Sir visited different states as a Member of Expert Team of National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for Tier-I, Tier-II and Diploma Institutions in India. Also Conducted more than 30 workshops on NBA in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh,

Rajasthan and Bihar. Dr.Vikas M. Phalle guided 14 PhD. Scholar under National Doctoral

Fellowship (NDF) – AICTE Delhi during 2018 to 2020. Sir organized 3 International

conference and also invited as a session chair in international conference ICoNSoM-2019

Various stakeholders must be involved to achieve vision, mission of the

Institute/Program.

Delivering good teaching to Students is very important.

In administrative setup of Institute, we can define the way in which flow of work is

executed from higher authority to the least one.

For every meeting, minutes of meeting must be prepared on regular basis along

with action taken report.

Institute must published service rule policies and procedure with year of

publication.

Various committees must be available to resolve the issue like anti-ragging
