Twenty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time September 1, 2019
Dear parishioners: Thanks to all who participated in Parish Cleanup day. Things look a lot better around the grounds! What a wonderful turnout. Thanks to the Ladies who provided food for all the workers including the Pastor and Deacon Pablo! Beginning on Monday September 16th both at 10:00 a.m. and 7 p.m.at St. Dominic Priory 3005 W. 29th Ave. Waldemar Perez will present the work of St. Paul in First Corinthians. Class runs 5 consecutive Mon-days. Call 303-455-3613 X 100 to attend. We have many weddings, quinceaneras this summer. Attendance and contributions are down a lot. We really need your help just to pay the bills! Please consider an increased gift to the parish. We recent-ly had to buy a new A/C for the office building. It cost $2400. We also need more money to fund the St. Vincent de Paul Outreach. It is a very important part of our parish ministry. I also need more volun-teers to help with the VOA food bank. The needs list goes on! We need more people to serve mass. There is no age limit! Consider doing it as a family. Contact Deacon Pablo at the parish office. Several have volunteered as Eucharistic Minis-ters. We will train them in fall. I need several of them to visit the sick and bring them communion to shut ins. Finally, we need more volunteers for our evangelization outreach. It just takes a little bit of time to contact and welcome people into our neighborhoods. We ae going to receive a contact list of new families and distribute them to evangelizers for contact. Several of the His-panic groups offered to help Christ Murphy with this. Please contact me or Chris Murphy at 303-384-0319. Please go to St. Anthony’s next Sunday p.m. and help Fr. Peter Urban celebrate his 90th Birthday. Instead of presents he has requested a contribution of $90 for the San Miguel Pro Mission in Mexico. Marriage preparation: Please see us 8 months before your marriage. Classes: $185 per couple. Register at www.catholicmarriageprep.com. for classes. Join “ Formed.org.” You can register on our parish website. The books and films are free to all parishioners. Parish website is “presentationdenver.org” RE registration for sacramental prep and RCIA begins in Sept. 7-8 af-ter all masses. If you haven’t given to the Archbishop’s Appeal, please do so today!
May the Spirit of Jesus fill our hearts with His Love! Fr. Ed

PRAYER FOR HEALING
Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of your Church, In your mercy come to the aid of your people,
burdened by the weight of sin and tribulation. Please heal the victims and those suffering. Purify
your Church of sin and scandal. Make her radiant in the Spirit of your holiness. Bring good out of
the evil that has been done. Guide her and your shepherds in the ways of renewal. Mary, our
loving Mother, pray for us. Walk with us. Hold our hand through this valley of darkness. Through
all this, lead us closer to the Father through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen
