While many of our adult laity have embraced the Sacrament of Mar-riage and have sacrificed to raise Catholic families, others have an-swered God’s call to enter the reli-gious or priestly life. Last year, our archdiocese was blessed to ordain seven men to the priest-hood. This year, eight men will be ordained. Your financial support of the 2017 Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal is critical to the ongoing formation of our seminarians. Please visit www.Archden.Org/GiveToday or call 303.715.3111 to make your gift today.

Immigration Resources

There are two Catholic institutions in the

archdiocese helping with immigration

cases: Catholic Charities and Centro San

Juan Diego.

At this time, limited resources prevent

Catholic Charities from accepting cases

involving detention, serious criminal con-

victions or final orders of removal. How-

ever, they can provide all people with

qualified referrals in those matters. Ad-

ditionally, they are available for presenta-

tions in parishes regarding rights and

remedies under U.S. immigration law and

approaches to advocate for a more just

and humane U.S. immigration policy in

accordance with Catholic social teach-

ings. If you need any of these services

please call 303-742-4971.

Central San Juan Diego has been system-

atically offering free legal nights every

Wednesday on the first and third week of

the month. These events provide hun-

dreds of people with legal advice and

direct them to non-profit legal institutions

where they can get help that is specific to

their case. If you need any of their ser-

vices please call 303-295-9470.

July 9, 2017 Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear parishioners:

We have only reached 40% of our ACA goal of $25000.

Please contribute to the ACA which funds 40 ministries.

George Banura and family from Bethlehem will be with us this

weekend. They will sell their beautiful olive wood carvings this

weekend. I recently purchased a new nativity set from them at

their store in Bethlehem. This weekend is a wonderful opportuni-

ty for you to purchase religious goods from them.

Families asking for infant baptism must make sure that god-

parents (padrinos) are married in the church and are confirmed.

Parents must be registered in the parish.

RE Classes: Registration for next year will be in August. We

will also have parent, candidate and escort faith formation

for those celebrating Quinceneras. Fall RE classes fee will

be $75. The classes will be limited to 25 students and will fill

up fast. All 2nd

graders should register this fall for Reconcili-

ation; they will make 1st

Communion and Confirmation the

following year. There will be a compulsory program for all

parents whose children are in the program. You can register

for this in August as well. This also applies to the families

of the older children who will be in the one year program

(grades 4, 5, 6 and up.) RCIA will be similar.

Please visit: presentationdenver.org. Our parish website. You

can register for the Aug. 10th golf tournament. Cost is $200 for

golf and lunch. Many sponsorship opportunities are still availa-

ble.

It is that time of year you can request scholarships for Presenta-

tion students in catholic grades schools and at Arrupe and other

Catholic high schools. You must be a registered parishioner, us-

ing envelopes to qualify. Please contact me.

The archbishop is concerned that we reach out to immigrants.

Services are offered through Catholic Charities and Centro Juan

Diego. Please contact them if you need help. www.archden.org/

The rehabilition center also helps homeless, drug and alcohol addicts, and ex-prisoners get a chance to tackle their problems and start a new life with God. All these goods are made with love and prayer and bring bless-ing to your home. You can sup-port many people in need by pur-chasing items of devotions for yourselves and your beloved ones.
