HOCHSCHULE FÜR MUSIK UND TANZ KÖLNSeit nunmehr 10 Jahren bildet die Europäische Akademie für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Montepulciano einen festen Bestandteil der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, in deren Trägerschaft sich die Akademie befindet. Rektor Prof. Dr. Franz Müller-Heuser ergriff vor 11 Jahren die Initiative zur Anmietung des Palazzo Ricci, Rektor Prof. Dr. Werner Lohmann bau-te als künstlerischer Leiter das Haus zu einer re-nommierten Musikakademie aus für Kursteil-nehmer und Akademiebesucher aus der ganzen Welt. Hervorragende Arbeitsbedingungen und eine inspirierende Umgebung sorgen an diesem kulturträchtigen Ort für künstlerische Meister-leistungen.

AN-INSTITUT Im Sommer 2010 wurde auf Beschluss des Se-nats die Europäische Akademie für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Montepulciano als An-Institut inhaltlich enger an die Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln angebunden, was eine in-tensivere Verzahnung mit dem Lehrbetrieb zur Folge hat. Dadurch kann die Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln als einzige Musikhoch-schule in Deutschland mit einem gewissen Stolz auf ein eigenes Institut im europäischen Ausland verweisen und besitzt damit ein profilierendes Alleinstellungsmerkmal.

MEISTERKURSEEines der wichtigsten Ziele der Akademie war seit Anbeginn die Etablierung von Meisterkur-sen als profilierte Ergänzung zum Lehrbetrieb in Köln, Aachen und Wuppertal. Renommierte Künstler - aus dem eigenen Haus sowie aus der ganzen Welt – tragen seit Jahren dazu bei, Stu-dierende in offener Kursform zu unterrichten. Auf diesem Feld zählt die Europäische Akade-mie für Musik und Darstellende Kunst mit einer nahezu hundertprozentigen Auslastung des Hauses mittlerweile zu den gefragtesten Ein-richtungen ihrer Art in Europa.

HOCHSCHULE FÜR MUSIK UND TANZ KÖLNFor the past 10 years the European Academy for Music and the Performing Arts in Montepulci-ano has been an integral part of the University for Music and Dance Cologne, which carries the sponsorship for the Academy. Eleven years ago the university’s President Prof. Dr. Franz Müller-Heuser took the initiative to rent the Palazzo Ricci. The following President Prof. Dr. Werner Lohmann, as artistic director, turned the Palazzo into a prestigious music academy for students and academic visitors from all over the world. Excellent working conditions and an in-spiring environment in this setting so rich in culture provide a venue for artistic excellence.

AFFILIATED INSTITUTEIn the summer of 2010, following a resolution of the university’s Senate, the European Academy for Music and the Performing Arts in Montepul-ciano became an Affiliated Institute linked in content more closely to the University for Mu-sic and Dance Cologne, resulting in a more in-tense interaction with the University’s teaching programme. The University for Music and Dance Cologne has gained a unique profiling feature and, as the only university for music in Germany with an institute in another European country, allows itself to refer to such with pride.

MASTER CLASSESFrom the very beginning one of the main ob-jectives of the Academy was the establishment of master classes as a profiled addition to the cour-ses in Cologne, Aachen and Wuppertal. Renow-ned artists – from our own house as well as from around the world – have for years helped to teach students in open courses. In this field the European Academy for Music and the Perfor-ming Arts, with nearly a one hundred percent utilization of their house, is now one of the most sought after facilities of its kind in Europe.

EXKURSIONS-WERKSTATTDie Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln nutzt den Palazzo Ricci intensiv als Ziel zahlreicher Exkursionen, um hier in inspirierender Umge-bung Lehrformen abzuhalten, die in den heimi-schen Standorten Aachen, Köln oder Wuppertal nicht realisierbar wären, etwa interdisziplinäre In-tensivkurse in freier zeitlicher Gestaltung zu pro-jektbezogenen Themen, deren Ergebnisse den Studierenden danach als Leistungspunkte in ih-rem Studium angerechnet werden. Des Weiteren bildet die Akademie den idealen Rahmen für Probenwochen, Projektwochen und Workshops.

INTERNATIONALE BEGEGNUNGSSTÄTTEDie Europäische Akademie für Musik und Dar-stellende Kunst Montepulciano bietet Studie-renden seit Jahren ein Forum für internationale Begegnungen. So waren im Rahmen des Festi-vals Europäischer Musikhochschulen Studieren-de aus nahezu allen repräsentativen Musikhoch-schulen Europas, von Spanien bis Skandinavien, zu Gast in Montepulciano, um mit Studieren-den des eigenen Hauses zu arbeiten. Die künst-lerischen Ergebnisse wurden danach außer in Konzerten vor Ort - auch in den Musikhoch-schulen Nordrhein-Westfalens widergespiegelt.

INTERDISZIPLINÄRES KOLLEG NRWAus den nach NRW widergespiegelten Konzer-ten erwuchs die Idee, die Akademie in Montepul-ciano als ein Forum zu etablieren, in dem sich künftig alle sieben Kunst- und Musikhochschulen Nordrhein-Westfalens zu einem fruchtbaren in-terdisziplinären Austausch begegnen können. Mit Unterstützung des Landes wurde daraufhin das »Internationale Kolleg Montepulcianio« gegrün-det, das 2010 projektbezogen mit einem Orches-terkonzert von Lehrenden und Studierenden der vier NRW-Musikhochschulen startete und im September 2011 gemeinsam mit den Kunsthoch-schulen seine interdisziplinäre Arbeit für ausge-wählte Studierende der NRW-Kunst- und Musik-hochschulen fortsetzt. Das erste gemeinsame Kol-leg-Projekt, an dem neben den vier NRW-Musik-hochschulen auch die Kunstakademie Münster sowie die Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln teil-nimmt, steht unter dem Thema »Improvisation«.

ACCADEMIA DI MUSICA E DANZA DI COLONIADa dieci anni l’Accademia Europea di Musica e Arte di Montepulciano costituisce una parte integrante dell’Accademia di Musica e Danza di Colonia, di cui è emanazione. Il Rettore Franz Muller-Heuser prese l’iniziativa di affittare Palazzo Ricci, il Rettore Wer-ner Lohmann, in qualità di Direttore Artistico, l’ha resa una rinomata accademia di musica per corsisti e studenti di tutto il mondo. Condizioni di lavoro ecce-zionali e un ambiente stimolante generano capolavori in questo luogo ricco di cultura.

ISTITUTO AFFILIATONell’estate 2010 su decisione del Senato l’Accademia Europea di Musica e Arte di Montepulciano è stata collegata contenutisticamente all’Accademia di Musi-ca e Danza di Colonia, con relativa concatenazione dell’attività didattica. Pertanto l’Accademia di Musica e Danza di Colonia è l’unico conservatorio tedesco che possa fregiarsi di una «filiale» in Europa, distinguen-dosi così nella propria unicità.

MASTER CLASSUno dei maggiori obiettivi dell’Accademia era fin dall’inizio l’introduzione di master class per integ-rare in modo differenziato l’attività didattica di Co-lonia, Aquisgrana e Wuppertal. Artisti famosi – sia dell’Accademia che internazionali, tengono da anni le loro lezioni agli studenti in forma aperta. In questo campo l’Accademia Europea di Musica e Arte, quasi sempre al completo, è fra le istituzioni più richieste del suo genere in Europa.

LABORATORIO ESCURSIONIGrazie all’Accademia di Musica e Danza di Co-lonia Palazzo Ricci è una meta molto frequentata di escursioni, un luogo evocativo per tenervi lezioni in forme altrimenti irrealizzabili nelle sedi locali di Aquisgrana, Colonia o Wuppertal: ovvero corsi inten-sivi interdisciplinari senza vincoli orari su progetti a tema, fra l’altro validi come crediti universitari. Inoltre l’Accademia costituisce una cornice ideale per settima-ne di prova, studio e workshop.

PUNTO D’INCONTRO INTERNAZIONALEL’ Accademia di Musica e Arte di Montepulciano offre da anni agli studenti un forum di incontri interna-zionali. Infatti nell’ambito del Festival dei Conser-vatori Europei sono ospiti a Montepulciano studenti da quasi tutti i prestigiosi Conservatori europei, dalla Spagna alla Scandinavia per collaborare con gli stu-denti dell’Accademia. I risultati artistici oltre che in loco sono stati riproposti anche in Conservatori del Nord Reno Vestfalia.

ATENEO INTERDISCIPLINARE NORD RENO VESTFALIACon la replica dei concerti in NRW è nata l’idea di stabilire a Montepulciano un forum dove in futuro le sette Accademie di Arte e di Musica della NRW si possano incontrare per un proficuo scambio interdiscip-linare. Con l’appoggio del Land è stato quindi fondato il «Collegio Internazionale di Montepulciano» che nei 2010 ha dato il via al progetto con un concerto or-chestrale di docenti e studenti dei quattro Conservatori renani, successivamente, nel settembre 2011, porterà avanti il lavoro interdisciplinare insieme alle Accade-mie d’Arte per studenti selezionati delle Accademie d’Arte e di Musica renane. Il tema del primo progetto collegiale al quale, oltre ai quattro Conservatori renani, prendono parte anche l’Accademia d’Arte di Müns-ter e l’Accademia di Arti Multimediali di Colonia è «Improvvisazione».

EXCURSION WORKSHOPThe University for Music and Dance Cologne uses the Palazzo Ricci intensively as the destina-tion for numerous excursions in order to con-duct courses in a stimulating environment, using teaching methods which would not be feasible at our locations in Aachen, Cologne and Wup-pertal. This includes interdisciplinary intensive courses which provide time to work on project related themes, for which the students then re-ceive credits towards their studies. In addition, the Academy is the perfect setting for workshops and rehearsal or project weeks.

CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL ENCOUNTERSIn the past years the European Academy for Music and the Performing Arts Montepulciano has offered students a forum for international encounters. Thus, in the framework of the Fes-tival of European Music Academies, students from nearly every prestigious music academy in Europe, from Spain to Scandinavia, were guests in Montepulciano, where they worked with stu-dents of our school. The artistic results were then presented locally in concerts – and also re-peated in the music academies of North Rhine-Westphalia.

INTERDISCIPLINARY COLLEGE NRWFollowing the concerts in Montepulciano, which were repeated in NRW, the idea to es-tablish the academy in Montepulciano as a fo-rum where the seven art and music schools of North Rhine-Westphalia could meet for pro-ductive interdisciplinary exchange grew. With the support of the state, the “International College Montepulciano” was founded, which started in 2010 with a project oriented orches-tra concert of teachers and students from the four NRW music academies. In September 2011 it will continue its interdisciplinary work for selected students of North Rhine-Westphalia’s art and music universities. The first joint course project with the participation of the four NRW music universities, the Aca-demy of Fine Arts Münster and the Academy of Media Arts Cologne will deal with the topic “improvisation”.

Zur Eröffnung der Europäischen Akademie für Musik und Darstellende Kunst erschien eine erste Imagebroschüre, in der ich meinen Bei-trag überschrieben hatte mit »Eine Utopie wird Realität«.

Das war nicht zu hoch gegriffen – gab es doch viele kluge Menschen, die versichert hat-ten, es sei ein ziemlich abwegiges Unterfangen, von Deutschland aus einen völlig maroden Pa-lazzo zu restaurieren, insbesondere, wenn man nur einen Bruchteil der Mittel zur Verfügung hat, die nach allgemeiner Erfahrung dafür erfor-derlich sind.

Mich hatte Ernst Bloch inspiriert, der in sei-nem Werk »Das Prinzip Hoffnung« von der konkreten Utopie spricht, die der Mensch im-mer haben müsse, und das an der Kerker-Situa-tion des Florestan in Beethovens »Fidelio« ver-anschaulicht. Und ich war zuversichtlich, dass unsere Situation im Vergleich dazu eine eindeu-tig bessere war. Also haben wir es gewagt!

Bekanntlich entstand dann tatsächlich eine erste Realität – die feierliche (Wieder-)Eröff-nung des Palazzo Ricci am Fronleichnamstag 2001. Zehn Jahre später folgt sozusagen Teil 2: ein Festival aus genau diesem Anlass, wiederum an Fronleichnam, eine Gelegenheit, ebenso zu-rückzuschauen auf das, was in dieser Dekade in der Akademie geschehen ist, also auch den Blick nach vorne zu richten und neue Ideen – um nicht zu sagen: Utopien – zu entwerfen.

Für den Beginn gab es damals nur eine re-alistische Chance: den Betrieb der Akademie in statu nascendi mit Meisterkursen aufzuneh-men. Möglich war dies, weil von Anfang an Kolleginnen und Kollegen höchster Qualität bereit waren, sich unentgeltlich unter eigent-lich kaum zumutbaren Bedingungen hierfür zur Verfügung zu stellen; ihnen kann dafür nicht genug gedankt werden. Dabei stieg die Zahl der Meisterkurse pro Jahr konstant von anfangs zehn auf über 25 Kurse. Hinzu kamen nach einigen Jahren Exkursionen und Projekte überwiegend (aber nicht nur) der deutschen Musikhochschulen, die sich ausdrücklich nicht als »klassische« Meisterkurse verstanden. Und parallel entstand ein dritter Strang: Anfragen aus ganz Europa bezüglich einer Anmietung des Palazzo Ricci für eigene Projekte, bei de-nen die Akademie die Räume und Instrumen-te zur Verfügung stellt, aber nicht selber Veran-stalter ist.

Mit zehn Jahren ist die Europäische Akade-mie für Musik und Darstellende Kunst quasi noch ein Kind, vor allem im Vergleich zu ande-ren ähnlichen Institutionen. Dass sie sich in die-ser relativ kurzen Zeit einen so guten internati-onalen Ruf erworben hat, ist den Vielen zu ver-danken, die hierzu beigetragen haben: Kollegin-nen und Kollegen, Förderern und Sponsoren, Mitgliedern des Palazzo Ricci e.V., Ministerien und Stiftungen, Institutionen wie dem DAAD – und nicht zuletzt den inzwischen vielen tausend Studierenden, für die die Zeit im Palazzo Ricci hoffentlich eine gewinnbringende war und ist.

Florestan hat seine konkrete Utopie gehol-fen zu überleben. Die Europäische Akademie hat nicht nur die ersten zehn Jahre überlebt; sie ist inzwischen aus den Kinderschuhen heraus und braucht den Vergleich mit den »Großen« in Europa nicht zu scheuen. Möge die Entwick-lung so erfreulich weitergehen!

For the opening of the European Academy for Music and the Performing Arts my contribution “A Utopia becomes Reality” was published in a first picture brochure.

This title was no exaggeration, since many knowledgeable people were certain that it was a rather absurd undertaking to restore, from Ger-many, a completely rundown Palazzo. And even more so if there was only a fraction of the funds available which are usually needed for this kind of project.

I was inspired by Ernst Bloch, who speaks in his work “Principle of Hope” of a concrete utopia, which mankind should always possess and which is exemplified in the dungeon situ-ation of Florestan in Beethoven’s “Fidelio”. And I was confident that in comparison our situati-on was positively a better one. And so we took a chance!

As is known, a first reality did indeed come to be – the festive (re-)opening of the Palazzo Ricci on Corpus Christi Day 2001. Ten years la-ter part two, so to speak, follows: a festival, again

EINE UTOPIE WIRD REALITÄT – TEIL 2A UTOPIA BECOMES REALITY – PART 2 UNA UTOPIA DIVIENE REALTA’ – II PARTE

2007 entwickelte ich die »Internationale Fest-woche Europäischer Musikhochschulen« in Montepulciano – ein jährliches einwöchiges Treffen von Lehrenden und Studierenden be-deutender Ausbildungsinstitute mit einem je-weiligen geographischen Schwerpunk von Finnland bis Spanien plus einer NRW-Musik-hochschule, an die die Veranstaltungen anschlie-ßend gespiegelt werden. Daraus entstand etwas Neues und meines Wissens in Deutschland Ein-maliges, nämlich das »Kolleg Montepulciano«, der Zusammenschluss aller Kunst- und Musik-hochschulen unseres Landes zu fachübergrei-fenden Projekten, ermöglicht durch das finanzi-elle Engagement unseres Ministeriums für In-novation, Wissenschaft und Forschung.

Im Ergebnis ist der Palazzo Ricci heute vom Frühjahr bis zum Spätherbst durchgehend voll belegt. Dies ist eine mehr als erfreuliche Tatsa-che, die alles andere als selbstverständlich ist.

Was soll in der zweiten Dekade der Akade-mie hinzukommen?

Eine »innere« Veränderung wird in den kommenden Jahren darin bestehen, dass Meis-terkurse häufiger in einem thematischen, mehr-jährigen Kontext stehen werden. Das Gleiche gilt für die Möglichkeit kooperierender paralle-ler Kurse, insbesondere im Bereich der Kam-mermusik.

Bereits erfolgreich auf den Weg gebracht ist eine von mir seit langem erwünschte Entwick-lung, nämlich die stärkere formelle Vernetzung der Kölner Hochschule mit dem Palazzo Ricci. Seit 2010 gibt es einen Vertrag, ratifiziert durch den Senat der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, in dem die Europäische Akademie als An-Institut der Kölner Hochschule ausgewiesen wird. Damit wird deren besonderer Rolle für den Palazzo Ricci auch auf der vertraglichen Ebene nunmehr Rechnung getragen.

Was fehlt noch? Beispielsweise langfristige Stipendienaufenthalte, wie sie etwa die Villa Massimo bietet. Oder Kompositionsworkshops mit renommierten Komponisten und Instru-mentaldozenten, die die behandelten Werke auf höchstem Niveau vorspielen können. Der Ein-bezug von Jazz und Populärer Musik. Übergrei-fende Projekte zum Stichwort »Musik und …«, wie sie jetzt im Rahmen des Kollegs Montepul-ciano begonnen werden. Vertiefte Kooperatio-nen mit italienischen Partnern. Weitere Instru-mente. Und weil der Platz kaum mehr ausreicht,

The European Academy has gained a very good reputation in a relatively short time-span thanks to all of those who have done their part: colleagues, donors and sponsors, members of the Palazzo Ricci e.V. (registered association), minis-tries and trusts, institutions such as the DAAD, and last but not least, the thousands of students, for whom the time at the Palazzo Ricci hopefully was, and will remain, a meaningful experience.

Florestan’s concrete Utopia helped him sur-vive. The European Academy did not only sur-vive its first ten years, but furthermore has come of age and does not need to fear comparison with Europe’s greatest institutions. May the fu-ture continue to be so gratifying!

Quando l’Accademia Europea di Musica e Arte di Co-lonia fu inaugurata apparve la prima brochure con il mio contributo «Un’utopia diviene realtà».Non era un’esagerazione, ma molte persone avvedute ri-tenevano un’impresa alquanto anomala da parte della Germania restaurare un palazzo praticamente in rovina soprattutto con una disponibilità minima dei mezzi co-munemente ritenuti necessari.

L’ispirazione mi era venuta da Ernst Bloch, che nella sua opera «Il principio della speranza» parla dell’utopia concreta che l’essere umano dovrebbe semp-re avere, come mostra la situazione del carcere di Flo-restano nel «Fidelio» di Beethoven. Ma io ritenevo la nostra situazione decisamente migliore, così ci abbiamo provato!

Come si sa, è nata effettivamente una prima realtà – solennemente (re)inaugurata il giorno del Corpus Domini 2001. Dieci anni dopo segue, per così dire, la seconda parte: un festival proprio per questa ricorren-za, il Corpus Domini, un’occasione sia per guardare ciò che è successo in questa decade in Accademia, ma anche per gettare uno sguardo in avanti e concepire nuove idee, o meglio, utopie.All’inizio c’erano solo master class che da 10 sono progressivamente aumentate fin oltre 25. Qualche anno dopo cominciavano escursioni e progetti sop-rattutto (ma non solo) di Conservatori tedeschi che

non si ponevano espressamente come master class «classiche». In parallelo sorgeva anche un terzo fi-lone: richieste d’affitto di Palazzo Ricci da tutta Europa per altri progetti a cui l’Accademia mette a disposizione locali e strumenti, senza esserne pro-motrice.

Dal 2007 a Montepulciano si svolge la «Setti-mana Internazionale dei Conservatori Europei» un incontro annuale fra docenti e studenti di importanti Istituti europei. Ciò ha dato origine a qualcosa di nuo-vo e a mio avviso unico in Germania, ovvero il «Ate-neo renano di Montepulciano», il raccordo fra tutte le Accademie d’Arte e i Conservatori tedeschi su progetti interdisciplinari.

Di conseguenza Palazzo Ricci oggi è sempre in funzione da primavera fino ad autunno inoltrato, un fatto tutt’altro che scontato.

Cosa succederà nella seconda decade?Le master class vivranno sempre di più in un con-

testo tematico pluriennale. Lo stesso vale anche per corsi paralleli cooperanti, particolarmente nell’ambito della musica da camera.

Dal 2010 vige un contratto ratificato dal Senato dell’Istituto di Musica e Danza di Colonia che de-finisce l’Accademia una filiale del Conservatorio di Colonia, per cui il ruolo particolare di Palazzo Ricci viene riconosciuto anche a livello contrattuale.

Cosa manca ancora? Ad esempio borse di studio a lungo termine come a Villa Massimo. Oppure work-shop di composizione con compositori famosi e docenti strumentali che sappiano suonare le opere trattate al massimo livello. Il coinvolgimento di jazz e musica popolare. Progetti interdisciplinari dal motto «Musica e altro» come ora promossi dall’Ateneo di Montepulci-ano. Cooperazioni approfondite con partner italiani. E visto che lo spazio è diventato già insufficiente, il com-pletamento del secondo piano. Altri strumenti musicali. Sono solo alcuni punti, la lista non è completa.

Innanzi tutto vanno ringraziati tutti coloro che hanno contribuito a rendere famosa l’Accademia in un tempo relativamente breve: colleghe e colleghi, sosteni-tori e sponsor, membri dell’associazione Palazzo Ricci, Ministeri e Fondazioni, Istituzioni come il DAAD – e non da ultimo le molte migliaia di studenti per cui il tempo qui trascorso è stato e sarà auspicabilmente fruttuoso.

Florestano ha contribuito a far sopravvivere la sua utopia concreta. L’Accademia Europea, non solo ha superato i suoi primi dieci anni, ma deposte le vesti infantili, non deve più temere il confronto con i «Grandi» in Europa. Che l’ulteriore sviluppo sia altrettanto felice!

on Corpus Christi Day, giving the opportunity to look back at what has happened in the last decade and also to look ahead and create new ideas – or perhaps Utopias.

In the beginning only master courses were held, with numbers growing from an initial ten to over 25 courses. After a few years additional excursions and projects took place from (though not exclusively) German music academies, which were explicitly not “classical” master courses. Parallel to this a third strand emerged in form of enquiries from all over Europe in regard to hiring the Palazzo Ricci for private projects, in which the academy provides the facilities and instruments, but is not the organizer itself.

Since 2007, the “International Festival of European Music Academies” has been taking place in Montepulciano, a week long meeting of lecturers and students from renowned European educational institutions. Through this something new, and to my knowledge unheard-of, emer-ged – the “College Montepulciano”, a consorti-um of all of North Rhine-Westphalian art and music academies for interdisciplinary projects.

As a result the Palazzo Ricci is completely booked out from early spring to late autumn. This is a more than just a pleasant fact and should not be taken for granted.

What additions shall the second decade of the academy bring with it?

In 2010, a contract ratified by the senate of the University for Music and Dance Cologne, declared the European Academy to be an Affili-ated-Institute of the Cologne Music University. Hence, its special role in the Palazzo Ricci is now also acknowledged on a contractual level.

AN-INSTITUTSeit 2010 ist die Europäische Akademie für Mu-sik und Darstellende Kunst ein An-Institut der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.

Damit wird die enge Verbindung zwischen den beiden Institutionen auch formell weiter verstärkt. Nach entsprechender Beschlussfassung durch den Senat der Hochschule wurde der Vertrag vom Präsidenten des Palazzo Ricci e.V. und vom Rektor der Hochschule unterzeich-net. Im Ergebnis sollen die bereits bestehende Kooperation auf künstlerischer, wissenschaftli-cher und pädagogischer Ebene weiter intensi-viert und die Zahl der Exkursionen von Grup-pen aus der Hochschule nach Montepulciano noch vergrößert werden.

KOLLEG FÜR MUSIK UND KUNST MONTEPULCIANO Das Kolleg für Musik und Kunst Montepulcia-no ist eine akademische Einrichtung von Kunst- und Musikhochschulen des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen.

Die Einrichtung bietet besonders qualifi-zierten Studierenden der beteiligten Hochschu-len die Möglichkeit eines mehrtägigen, intensi-ven Arbeitsaufenthalts im Palazzo Ricci. Im Rahmen verschiedener Projekte können Stu-dierende kunstsparten-übergreifend künstle-risch sowie wissenschaftlich arbeiten und dabei die Kompetenzen aller beteiligten Hochschulen nutzen. Die Arbeitsaufenthalte in Italien werden als Studienleistung anerkannt.

Das Kolleg hat darüber hinaus das Ziel, die Kooperation zwischen den Musik- und Kunst-hochschulen des Landes zu intensivieren, die in-ternationale Zusammenarbeit im Bereich künst-lerischer Ausbildung zu unterstützen und die Mobilität der Studierenden zu fördern. Das Kol-leg für Musik und Kunst Montepulciano wird durch Mittel des Ministeriums für Innovation, Wissenschaft und Forschung des Landes NRW ermöglicht.

Therewith the close relationship between the two institutions has been formally streng-thened. COLLEGE FOR MUSIC AND ART MONTEPULCIANO The College for Music and Art Montepulciano is an academic institution of the art and music universities of the state of North Rhine-West-phalia.

The institute offers highly qualified students of the participating universities the opportunity to spend several days of intense studies at the Palazzo Ricci. During various projects students from several universities are enabled to pursue artistic and academic interdisciplinary topics using the resources of the participating acade-mies. The academic studies in Italy are recog-nised as part of the universities’ academic pro-grammes.

Furthermore, the College’s goal is to inten-sify the cooperation among the state’s music and art universities, to support the international col-laboration in the field of artistic education and to promote students’ mobility. The College for Music and Art Montepulciano is financially sup-ported by the Ministry for Innovation, Science and Research of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).

ISTITUTO AFFILIATO Dal 2010 l’Accademia Europea di Musica e Arte è un istituto affiliato dell’Accademia di Musica e Dan-za di Colonia, pertanto lo stretto legame che unisce le due istituzioni è ulteriormente rafforzato anche sotto l’aspetto formale. Su decisione del Senato Accademico il contratto è stato firmato dal Presidente della Fonda-zione di Palazzo Ricci e dal Rettore dell’Accademia di Colonia. Così saranno potenziate sia la coopera-zione già in atto sul piano artistico, scientifico e pe-dagogico che le escursioni a Montepulciano di gruppi provenienti dall’Accademia di Musica e Danza.

L’ATENEO RENANO A MONTEPULCIANO L’Ateneo di Musica e Arte di Montepulciano è un’istituzione delle Accademie di Arte e di Musica del Nordreno-Vestfalia.

L’istituzione offre a studenti particolarmente qua-lificati la possibilità di un soggiorno di lavoro intensivo di alcuni giorni a Palazzo Ricci. Nell’ambito di pro-getti differenti gli studenti possono lavorare trasversal-mente fra le accademie e gli ambiti creativi sia a livello artistico che scientifico utilizzando le competenze di tutte le accademie coinvolte. I soggiorni in Italia valgo-no come crediti universitari.

Inoltre l’Ateneo ha lo scopo di intensificare la cooperazione fra le Accademie di Musica e di Arte renane, di sostenere la collaborazione internazionale nel settore della formazione artistica e di promuovere la mobilità degli studenti. L’Ateneo di Musica e Arte di Montepulciano esiste grazie ai mezzi forniti dal Ministero per l’Innovazione, la Scienza e la Ricerca.
