November the month of Remembrance

Each November the Catholic Church celebrates the communion of saints and the memory of all the faithful departed. You are invited to remember your loved one at a Remembrance Mass at Mission San Jose Church on

Monday, November 4, 2019 at 7:00pm.

Please share this invitation with other family mem-bers, relatives or friends who may want to at-tend. All are welcome. Before the mass begins, we invite you to write the names of your loved ones in the Book of the Dead that will be near the sanctuary. We hope and pray you will come and join in prayer and in remem-brance of all our departed loved ones.

“Grief & the Holidays” Presentation

Offered through the Ministry of Consolation Tuesday, No-vember 19 6:30pm - 9:00pm in

the Parish Hall

The holidays are an especially hard time when grieving the loss of a loved one. The season renews memories, family ties and traditions. We become painfully aware that our special loved one is no longer present. This is often difficult for families. The pain of the loss is con-fused with the spirit of the season.

“Grief and the Holidays” is a workshop de-signed to help those who are grieving and their families to better understand the grief process, how it affects us during the holidays and how we can use this special time to continue to heal. Anyone is invited, but we ask that you RSVP through the parish office

210-922-0543

Fr. Rogelio, the Ministry of

Consolation, & Staff extend our condolences to the family of:

Ricardo Ramirez

May his soul and the souls of all the de-parted, rest in peace.

Church Painting

The painting of the interior of the main body of our Church will begin on Monday. They will be repairing the areas that need to be plastered and painted. This work is being done in prep-aration for our 300th anniversary. The workers will be using ladders and not scaffolding so that they can remove them each day. They

will not be working on the week-ends because of our wedding and Baptismal schedule. Let us pray for the safety of those work-ing and for the success of the project.

CEMETERY PRAYERS

Eternal rest grant unto (Name), O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him/her. May (Name) rest in peace. May (Name's) soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

O God, by Whose mercy the faith-ful departed find rest, send Your holy angel to watch over this grave, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Remembrance Prayer

O Lord, I thank You for allowing me to have these very special people in my life. I have been truly blessed by their presence, their words and actions, and their love. I grieve not for them, but for myself, as I truly miss them. We shared so much, and yet I feel our times together were fleeting. Help me, O God, to re-alize that the distance between us now is not so great and that one day, I will be reunited

with them in paradise. Together, we will glorify You, Almighty Fa-ther, Your only Son, Jesus Christ, and Your Holy Spirit for all eterni-ty. Amen
